Closed on Saturdays? Bummer!…read more I've been to this shop several times. It's okay...it's small and a somewhat average antique store. But you never know when you'll find a treasure - right? We decided to drive from Minneapolis to Winona and hit EVERY antique store we could find open on our way back to the Twin Cities, driving north. (We made it to Red Wing.) A-Z Collectibles was our 2nd stop for the day. Unfortunately, they were closed so we were only able to peak in the windows this time, and we left with our pockets still full of money. Most antique stores in the Metro are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays so we were bummed out when we were foiled so early in our antique hunting day. Oh, well. Maybe our timing will be better next time. -Daddy Maxx Retro

Yarnology is beautifully and seamlessly-arranged with an endless variety of high-quality fibers. Cozy couches and a fireplace in the middle of the store add to the homey ambiance, and offer a spot to relax and knit...or to just lurk and learn from more experienced knitters. Knitters also have access to purls of wisdom from the friendly and knowledgeable staff, as well as by weaving their way through instructional classes available in-house. Don't get fleeced by cheap quality, box-store yarns. Stop in to Yarnology today--you'll be so darned happy you did!

My email didn't get a response. I was far more annoyed by the continuing avoidance issues than the need to replace the machine. It's sad, because I'd love to buy a Bernina to replace my old machine, and this is the closest dealer. I obviously won't be coming back here.

New business address is: 114 East Second Street, Winona, MN 55987 and phone number remains (507) 474-7653 So, my review: As stated by the other reviewer, this store is indeed a gem for outdoor gear, active-life clothing in Winona. One of my outdoor interests is kayaking and this place had a direct pipeline to Current Designs and Wenonah Canoe (top-of-the-line canoe and kayak manufacturers here in town) Through the work of Mike L., Avery P., Jacob C. and other wonderful staff here, I purchased my first kayak and other related paddling gear. But, I also learned a lot about how to use the gear and what to buy/not buy for my skill level. Just today, got an incredible deal on a carbon Werner kayak paddle. The staff is knowledgable and friendly and the store stocks excellent high-quality brand-name outdoor gear/active clothing. It was funny to me to find out the store was more well-known as a clothes shop vs. as a camping/climbing store (like REI). But, it has it all, and if they don't have it, then ask, because they can probably order it in. For those folks who don't run triathlons or scale mountains every weekend, this place still has something to offer. Don't be intimidated if youre not some super-athlete with a high VO2 max, you'll still feel welcome, which I've come to appreciate about Sole Sport. Keep up the good work, guys, and thanks for all the help!
