A Bud Ranch truck with a horse trailer in the parking lot. All their equipment is in pristine condition.

Budwieser (Anhieser Busch) Ranch where they base the Clydesdales live, work and play. Reservations are needed but it's awesome. I don't even like beer and I went. Unfortunately since they didn't have an outing booked we didn't get to see the full dress parade view with all the polished harnesses, medallions and required dalmatian. We were introduced to up and coming youngsters in training and some working horses to brush and comb. We also had photo sessions with a statesman Clydesdale who patiently waited as we gathered to get in a picture together. The Ranch staff are friendly, helpful and so knowledgeable about the history, care for the Clydesdales and everything associated with being ready for the shows, events and parades they are a part of. We didn't book until the day before so we were lucky to book the "Becoming a King" tour. It was terrific, our only spoiler was Missouri was in the middle of the most intense heat wave with Temps in the high 90's. Felt bad for the horses outside but most had shade cover so they looked very mellow. If you can, book a tour it's so interesting and fun. Thanks Warm Springs Ranch for a great tour. I even drank my free Bud. Intense heat makes a cold beer taste so much better!

What a beautiful ranch. Clean areas for you to walk through the barns learning about these gentle giants. Staff was super friendly, and accommodating.

Finally made it to see the Clydesdale's! Glad I waited for Christmas. The lights are beautiful and there are horses in the paddocks you can stand and pet forever. Those babies are SO gigantic. There was a foal still nursing and themmn a few 6-9 month babies that had been weaned. We get a smores kit after we were done and sat by the firepit to get warm and roast marshmallows. Great time for me.

Enjoyed a family outing to Warm Springs Ranch to see the Clydesdale breeding facility. Reservations are required in order to visit and are made online. We were given a free container of beer at the beginning of the tour. Then we were able to see the young Clydesdales that had recently been born. The tour is centered around the stables area. At the conclusion of the tour, we were able to pet a Clydesdale and have a photo opportunity with that majestic horse. The small gift shop is worth stopping in and visiting. This facility has only been open since 2006.

It was a lovely tour but I was surprised to find out that they throw all of the aluminum cans in the trash and don't recycle them.

Good tour. Learned things about breeding and raising Clydesdale horses. Impressive how much effort and money is put into their care.

I feel lucky to have had Michael Lear as our guide, he was absolutely brilliant and was a stellar storyteller! The prison itself is very interesting, has alot of history behind it and honestly a little chilling. Hearing about its dark history really makes you stop, think about life and human existence. The parts about solitary confinement and how tiny the cells were with several people stuffed in were especially shocking. Michael even took us down to the basement solitary area and turned off the lights for a full minute so we could feel what it was like. That part gave me chills. We also got to see the prison cells from the 1800s all the way up to more recent ones, and even the gas chamber. It was intense but very eye-opening. I highly recommend this tour 1000%! And if you are lucky enough to have Michael as your guide, you're in for something fascinating. He also has a Missouri murder history podcast which is definitely worth checking out and supporting - It is called Show Me Murder. To conclude, thanks MSP for such an unforgettable experience!

I was lucky enough to do the full eight hour overnight investigation, which means about 40 to 50 people with near free rein over three massive prison buildings in the middle of the night. Most of the time was spent breaking into small groups and exploring the grounds looking for paranormal activity, and for me that meant just me and one friend wandering dark cell blocks and corridors that felt completely abandoned. This is absolutely not for the faint of heart because there are long stretches where you truly feel alone, surrounded by silence, shadows, and your own racing thoughts. There were plenty of spine chills, more than a few moments where I questioned my life choices, and by the end of the night I walked out a full believer. It was intense, unforgettable, and easily one of the most fascinating and highly recommended adventures I have ever done.

You can grab tickets online or in person, and they have a really cute gift shop with fun little trinkets worth browsing before or after your tour. Our tour guide Lee was so amazing! He's been there for years and years and you can just tell. Great stories, super personable, the kind of guide that makes the whole experience way more memorable. We even spotted a bat hibernating which was such a cool unexpected moment! The cave itself is fascinating and I loved that it was great for all ages. Our group ranged from little kids to people in their 70s and everyone was into it with no problems. A few spots can get slightly slippery so just watch your step, but there are handrails throughout so nothing felt unsafe. Also found out they host events here too like a black light event and even concerts inside the cave which sounds incredibly cool. Definitely want to come back for one of those. Overall I was really impressed and would highly recommend adding this to your Missouri road trip list.
