Everything cool, right? Well, it turns out, no. I came in today since I was in the area to double check if I was on the list and was not. They completely forgot to add me in and the list was so long, it was highly unlikely I would get the decks I pre-ordered. They told me it would be best to go to another shop to order and was not at all apologetic about the mishap. In fact, there were no apologies made. I really wanted to support a local card shop but the lack of accountability and the poor customer service makes it very difficult to do so. I won't be back.

Got a PIC programer and some other various things. After he moved to the current location thats closer to the airport I continue to buy things from him, usually emergencies when I'm short a part or have a rush on something. Hobby Engineering has a searchable website so you can see what he has in stock. The IMIM store hours are what I would nicely say Quasi-Predictable. He's basically running two businesses at the same time by himself and most business is through the mail-order/warehouse side of things however you can really tell he wants to have a storefront. I know currently he's trying for regular Saturday hours but its always best to read the website instructions. When I need something I check the website, then I call to see when he'll be around. If I'm in a rush after confirming he'll be there I'll place the order online and pay for it as a Will-Call and swing by. He has also been incredible in the past and met me at weird or late hours to pick something up. The IMIM store itself is on the second floor and he's making good progress on it as of my last visit. Quite a bit of hobby-related stuff on the shelves to browse. His speciality seems to be Robotics but a lot of general model making supplies around too. Not some much on display for general electronics but the warehouse is just downstairs so if you know he has it in stock and he doesn't have bunches of customers upstairs he has no issues grabbing parts from the warehouse. I have to reiterate, you need to read the website. Local store. One person. Hard to cover everything by himself. My hope ( and I'm sure Al's ) is that the storefront gets enough traction to warrant an employee. He's got a bunch of space and a lot of possibility.

The lady that picked up let me know they were running low on RA05, but let me know I'd be able to purchase it before the end of the day as she reserved it for me. Sick. So I came by, got the box and six loose booster packs... and pulled a Starlight overframe Shooting Quasar Dragon. I gave the box to my homie, and he wasn't so lucky with his pulls, unfortunately. I haven't been to Lefty's since 2022 (when The Grand Creators and Ghosts from the Past 2 were out), but I intend on returning for new YGO releases. But the few times we've come by, the customer service is just not good. We went in when it's slow. My husband was looking at one of the staff looking for help, and the girl was like, "I work here too!" Insinuating that she is also available to help with questions, but maybe not with that attitude is appreciated! Why can't she say "oh, I can help you." But not at all. Definitely off putting. Sometimes I get the feeling they discriminate too, they give you a little attitude for asking questions and not buying. I agree with others that their prices are crazy, especially with them being a local store, they can price things better especially they have a great selection and the location is great. We always try to shop at small mom/pop shops cause we love the uniqueness of the stores and the variety they hold, but this is just not good. The feeling we get going in isn't welcoming and the attitudes, it's not worth it! We may not ever come back and give them business.

They have a HUGE variety of RC stuff--cars, trucks, boats, planes, parts, accessories, different bodies, and so much more. They even work on and repair RC cars there, which is really convenient. For me, the coolest part was the indoor RC track! Since this was my first time here, I was honestly amazed watching everyone race their little RC cars around the track . I didn't realize how big of a hobby this was, so it was actually really fun to watch. They also have an entire rock-crawling room with rocks, bridges, ramps, and different obstacles for the RC trucks, which was really cool to see. The guy working there was also really nice. He greeted us when we came in and answered all of my husband's questions. He was friendly and took the time to talk to us without making us feel rushed. They also had several Monster Jam RC trucks, which immediately caught my attention . I specifically asked about the Sparkle Smash truck. He also told us to come back because they're having a Monster Jam event soon, and now I'm actually interested in coming back for it! The best part for us was the "build it yourself section" where they have a loose pile of bulk lego as well as a wall with more organized sorting. You can build anything here and every part you use is 25 cents at the register. My kids favorite part was looking for all the figure parts to make a recreation of our family. All those minifigure parts are up front near the "Lego Movie" Wildstyle statue. Near the register is also all the minifigures, I loved looking through these and seeing all the cool old lego figures I grew up with. The middle of the store has a huge city display you can tell was put together passionately. They also have used and brand new sets for sale. I let my kids each pick something around $15 for helping build a present for their mother and it was hard for them to choose with so many options! The store was totally packed the entire time we were there but staff and owners were super kind and helpful in finding random bits for us and other customers.
