The warehouse is great, and i especially like seeing shows in the small room. Last night had its disappointments though... how do you run out of lone star and miller light before the main show (New Monsoon) begins? More importantly, the whole pre-show and first set of new monsoon was halfway ruined due to the bright lighting over the crowd. It made it more like a bar, and everyone was talking instead of being able to dance and focus on the entertainment. Fortunately enough people complained and the second set was saved when they finally turned down the lights. read more

4/20/16 Update: Been avoiding this venue (Ballroom, not the Side Room) for aforementioned sound issues, but returned last night to see David Cross' stand-up comedy show. I figured it's a comedy show so the bad sound of the Ballroom would not interfere too much. I was wrong. From where I was seated I could hear every sound being made from both bars on either side of the room. The sound of glassware and drinks being shaken were competing with the low audio from the show. Absolutely distracting and frustrating. Warehouse: You certainly charge enough $, how about using some money to fix the sound problems the Ballroom is plagued with? read more

So I went to Warehouse Live last night to support my son and listened to some young and hopefully upcoming Rappers, (not my style at all). The crowd was mellow and all seemed to be having a good time., the room was very small and didn't get to see the rest of the warehouse, but I would go again to see a show. Love Warehouse Live, which is suprising considering how much I don't like the Eado area. First time there was over a year ago to see Ani Difranco and then again to see Less Than Jake (actually got to meet the bassist at the bar). I've caught two acts here, Social Distortion and Public Enemy. It's definitely one of the most comfortable venues I've been in. It's the perfect compromise to bigger arena and small club. Being close to the stage is not a problem or seeing the act. The decor is nice as well and as others have mentioned--it's surprisingly clean! read more

I like this place for the most part. They always have a lot of shows coming in an out. The prices are good for a music venue. There are several bars inside and different standing areas. It can get crowded, and the neighborhood is a bit on the shaky side for me. I guess you can say the crowd is very hipster like (what ever that means), mostly it is just a place for music. It's a great place to see musical acts, nice small venue. Had no trouble getting in and out. Not a whole lot else to say.

We came for a smaller act, and was on the studio next door to the main stage. It was a small stage, but it made it an intimate venue for smaller acts with the same great acoustics. The stage is in the corner, so it creates a bottleneck ie. a crowd. The bar tenders were attentive and made sure everyone was served promptly. There is some bench seating at the back that's first come, first serve. read more

i love how it is spacious enough for peeps not to drip sweats on you while you're trying to enjoy your favorite band! hhaha! they have pretty good bands that runs through here... it's best when the concert is set up in the lounge area, it's much more intimate and funnn!! read more

Definitely one of my more favorite concert venues. There is a large room and a small room. I've seen concerts in both. Small room is great cause its intimate and you're so close to the band. Great energy and vibe with other fans. The large room is ok, being just one large room with a bar on each side. One side is raised up which is cool at times cause you can usually get a better view. Sound is great at this place though. Can usually always get close enough to get some good acoustics. Prices are slightly high for a bar but lower than a Toyota Center or something like that. Tip like always is to buy your tickets at the box office to avoid some service fees. They open daily to buy ahead of time. read more

Don't let the 3-star review fool you...Warehouse Live is a great place to catch a show, I'm just picky when it comes to my concert venues. I wouldn't consider the place a "mega-venue" like some of the other multi-room concert halls I've been to, but it is nice having 3 venues in one for hosting a show, allowing them to "right-size" the concert depending on the size of the crowd. Let's be honest, the ambiance at a show definitely takes a hit when there is a lot of empty space at a sparsely-attended in a big hall. Other pluses: reasonably-priced drinks, good sound, and a location in the heart of the still-growing EaDo bar district. Just try to avoid hitting a show the night of an Astros or Dynamos game...the usually ample parking can be a bit more hard-to-come-by those evenings. read more

I thought the studio was a great small venue. Felt a little shady when I was parking and felt a little uncomfortable about my motorcycle being left where I could not see it but that is cause I am a little paranoid. read more

Worst concert venue I've been to. If you're not near the front, good luck getting an OK view. It's as small as some of the HOB rooms, but the stages are shorter so it's soooooo hard to see!!!! Been here twice and both times had bad things to say about the venue. read more

Not for short people. Couldn't see the artist. Couldn't sit down and listen. Very disappointed, and for the most part I blame the venue for ruining my night. If there was a second level to view from up top it would have been nice. Or a pedestal the artist could have been on the have been raised above the crowd more or even a projection screen of her, but all I had going was everyone else's from recording her sing. The music was good, artist was in tone, just couldn't see the performance. Waste of my time and money. read more

They are very very unorganized came here for the 1st time for a comedy show. I found a great deal on Groupon when we first got here no one informed us that we had to change our groupon tickets to regular ones. Once the doors opened they came and told us which made us loose our spot in line. We had VIP tickets once we got in we sat at nice table only for someone to come ask us to move at 15 mins of sitting there when they sat us there we didn't pick the table. They are running 45 mins late and the drinks are high. If you RATCHET not well put together stuff this for you. If not then save your self the time and money and never come here. Went to Bun B and friends a while back. Pretty nice venue and the stage is huge. Wouldn't say the bar is super nice but it was decent. I would have to say this place gets 4 stars because of the show, it was amazing and one of the best rap shows I've been to ever. Rap is pretty boring live, most of those guys sound good only in the studio but this made most of the performers look good. If it had been a weaker show I would give this place less stars, but seems how they host nice shows I would go back. read more

Great big open venue, plenty of bar room on both sides

Good venue that brings in some good shows. I usually end up here for the bands and not the venue itself but the sound techs do a great job. If there's one thing a venue can be notorious for is bad sound. Not the case here. Parking sucks so I usually get here early and hang out at the bars around the area. read more

We were invited to play the Springboard South Music Festival and this was the venue for the main acts. We played twice over the course of the weekend. It's a bit of a boring layout. Not much creativity. It's basically a square box with no care for interior design. But more importantly, the sound system is average at best. It's a good space in terms of capacity however. read more

Went to see Todd Snider in the Studio and for the most part loved the place. It would have been nice if there were more seats and we would not have had to stand. The staff was super friendly. The crowd was for the most part well behaved. My 12 year old son is a big Todd Snider fan so I brought him along. Not exactly a kid friendly place but it was fine. Karbach on tap rocked! We'll be back to see some other artist in the future. Parking was very close and reasonable at $5. read more

This place is a greaTt place to see any mid-size show that mite sell-out...staffs real cool unless your not....They should get a patio...

They charged me 3.50 for a cherry flavored coke that was supposed to be a regular coke. They wouldn't let me leave and their outside area was roped off on a sidewalk. You should be able to come and go as you please after paying money for entry. Their solution to me getting food during the band I wasn't interested In seeing was ordering franks pizza and eating in the crammed smoking section on the sidewalk. House of blues seems like a better option for future shows based off of my recent experience. read more

Will not be back. Bad location, bad acoustics and was told I could not use my compact video camera while 200 people were recording with their phones at the Stryper concert. I can understand why no professional photography is allowed but a compact camera?? it has good quality video/audio but so do most phones these days. read more

I've been to Warehouse Live at least 15 times, and I've enjoyed perhaps 3 of my visits. The problem that I have with this venue is that it's in a class between the corporate chain venues of a similar size (e.g., House of Blues) and smaller locally owned venues (e.g., Fitzgerald's or Numbers if that's still around). It is not as comfortable as House of Blues, as there's no place to sit and watch from a decent perspective if that is your preference, and they tend to rope off the lounge for the talent. When I go to shows with openers I don't like at Fitz or Walter's I have the option of leaving for a bite to eat or just fresh are and a walk, but at Warehouse you're stuck inside or in a terrible designated smoking section. There are two rooms, a studio and a warehouse, and neither offers good sound. The small room is drowned out by the volume (if it's a rock band) of instrumentation, and the large room is usually mixed poorly. The tickets are overpriced in the warehouse, but they're fairly priced for the small room (excluding the ridiculous fees that sometimes exceed 20%). Because of the combination of bad sound, bad staff (excluding bartenders), intrusive and obstructive policies, and general lack of comfort, I will be avoiding all but my favorite bands at Warehouse Live. Unfortunately, you'll see a band you love regardless of the flaws of the venue, but if you're on the fence about this place, spend your money elsewhere. read more

My kids went up today for concert, paid extra to get in at 4, still sitting outside!!!! Should refund extra money!!!!

The Warehouse is a cool place for small shows where you can see the stage from anywhere. Standing room only with 2 bars and an area for selling the artist's shirts, cd's, etc... and signing autographs after the set. The sound isn't the greatest but it's pretty good and does the trick for the small area. I will always go to a show if a band I want to see if gonna be there. The locations is cool too cause it's right next to Little Woodrow's, Baker Street, etc...where you can go get some pre-game going on! It's a good time, every time. read more

I'm guessing that the other reviewers actually work for the venue. This place is awful and I won't give them my money ever again, no matter if my favorite bands are playing. 1. They had one guy with a security wand scanning 2000 people and one guy taking tickets as well. 2. The venue is one floor. No flat screens, and the sound quality is horrible. Security guards are NOT nice if you are on the rail and trying to see the stage. Don't expect to actually see the act you paid to see, or hear them for that matter, as the sound quality is horrible. 3. Smoking area is a joke. It's a 10 minute walk to the outside smoking area that's available to patrons and there's no bar available. 4. Buy your tickets for House of Blues in Austin or Dallas and make the drive.. This place is horrible, and it's no wonder that Houston can't attract real talent on a regular basis. read more

This is definitely one of my favorite venues to see live music. I like the smaller room best for the intimacy.

when i typed in my search for this place, i accidentally typed WHOREhouse live...which, is actually fine by me. if necessary, i will be warehouse's whore. i L-O-V-E this venue. i saw bob schneider here recently...along with an awesome opening band--Jonathon Tyler and the Northern Lights. when we first walked in, (i must echo the words of previous yelpers) i noticed the *immaculate* surroundings. the floors so well-swept you could eat off them...the couches so plush you could sleep on them...the bathrooms so clean you could----well, use the bathroom in them. the sound was great, the bars set up nicely, and i loved the lighting and chic chandeliers in the "industrial"-style setting. i am only disappointed i have to miss cat power here soon due to work! read more

i have a teen that listens to all that screaming, hardcore music. i bring her and her friends to concerts here about twice a month and really like the venue. there are couches to sit on for us old parents. The sound is good, the parking is relatively inexpensive and close, and security out front is always nice. The small venue makes for a nice, intimate show with my daughter's favorite bands. read more

This is a small venue where (die hard) fans can have an intimate experience with performers. Everything (parking, booze, toilet, security, etc.) is fine, and I overall like this place. However, the management really should consider upgrading their sound system. I went there yesterday for a symphonic metal concert, and I was feeling that someone was injecting muddy water to my ears.
