Strangelove at Warehouse live was awesome. The venue was awesome keeping everyone safe with wearing mask except when you drank. And Strangelove rocked it down like always. Good job Warehouse Live.

We saw Megan Moroney Friday. The staff at this venue is of the best I have encountered. From bartenders, to security, to the people putting bracelets on. Everyone we encountered was so helpful and pleasant. But the real star is Paige, the manager. She was hounded by my 14 year old daughter for a couple of hours in the line. She answered all her questions, visited with her, made her feel special. Paige gets all the gold stars in our book! We look forward to visiting the new location!

After many years of passing by Warehouse Live but never going in, last night marked the first time I caught a show there. My friend's band, Channel K, held a party celebrating the release of their sophomore album, Super Queen, in the venue's Green Room. I've heard a lot of good things regarding Warehouse so I had this impression that it's one of Houston's best places to watch a concert. I was proven right when I entered a clean, spacious yet intimate and ambient hall. The bar was well-stocked and nicely managed, the restrooms showed no sign of filth, and everyone from the bouncer to the woman who handled the lighting and sound was friendly. Because this is a music spot, allow me to comment on the audio quality. Excellent, as Mr. Burns would say. Each performance was delivered loud and clear. I could've sworn that the walls were sound-proof since the hip-hop show in the main ballroom didn't reverberate into the Green Room. Regardless, I found myself enjoying the catchy, power-packed ditties of my friends and their musical comrades. Though the room was nearly SRO, the attendees got a good glimpse of the stage. Truly a benefit of a small space. I should mention that when Channel K performed, the band fittingly bathed in blue lights since blue was one of the primary colors of their new album. This coincidental effect allowed me to take solid pictures and video. Throughout the night, I couldn't help but wonder how the area, known as EaDo, sprung to life. As recent as a decade ago, you had to be crazy to even as much as drive though the vicinity of Warehouse. It'll be beyond insane around these parts if/when the Astros get in the World Series since Minute Maid Park is a few blocks down. I'd like to return for a show in the ballroom. Maybe when it's not too hot.

Came here for the trap karaoke event. There was a ton of parking across the street for only $5. The space inside is great. There was a bar serving drinks at a pretty decent price, so I drank up. The show was pretty fun and ended with a performance from Trae.

I came for Electro Bounce: Soul Control. We were in one of the side rooms, I don't know which one, but it was perfect for the event. The fans were blasting and saving my life! The DJs were perfect. The music was giving me life and everyone was there to have a good time. I loved it. Important to note, the bathroom was clean, there was toilet paper AND hand soap. It's really the little things lol. Apparently there was a rave in the main area but I didn't hear a thing, so clearly the sound-proofing is top notch. I like it, Picasso.

The most painful light show...EVER

It's a great place to see musical acts, nice small venue. Had no trouble getting in and out. Not a whole lot else to say.

Ask the Community - Warehouse Live

Is this standing room or individual seating?

I've never seen seating but I think it depends on the show. Sometimes they have tables you can buy. There is also more than one room there. There is a big one and a smaller one.

Do they require proof of vaccination and/or negative covid test for entry? Also, do they require masks?

I went to a show recently and they did not check for vax or negative test. I brought a mask but did not wear it

What's the age range?

That really depends on the event that is taking place. We hosted the Army-Navy Football Game (Army won again) and they're were children in attendance albeit in a side room.

There is a cover charge of $10 for most of the performances but if you check out their website and the calendar, some of the shows are free also. The crowd is mixed but as would be expected with the genre of music, it's older - I would guess the average age of the crowd on the night I was there was 50-60 but they were getting down and having a good time so that's the important part! Parking kind of sucks here so I would suggest coming in early and if you find something in the parking lot or by the mechanic shop, back your car in because people will likely park behind you and it'll be pretty tight getting out later. There is also street parking around the neighborhoods but check the signs to make sure you don't need a permit.

Ambiance (3/5): Dan Electros is located in a residential neighborhood. They have a relatively small parking lot and it was completely full on a Wednesday. We ended up parking on the street a block or two away. Initially, I wasn't too impressed. Dan Electros has a gravel parking lot. Never a fan. It gets your car dirty and your shoes dirty. When you walk in though, you're entering a dive bar with some character. It's tough to describe what that is exactly but it's something you feel. Dan Electros hosts a lot of live music and they have a small dance floor. If you're into live music, as I am, this may be the spot for you. They also have a pool table which is always a plus in my book. Service (4/5): I ordered a drink at the bar. I was greeted promptly and received my drink promptly. When I later went back to the bar to close out, I was able to do so without much effort. Solid experience overall. Food (N/A): I didn't have any food as I had dinner prior, but I don't think they have food anyway. I'm not 100% though. Drinks (4/5): For a dive bar, Dan Electros has a cool menu with some interesting cocktails and a good beer list. Even at a dive bar, it's nice when you can order more than just beers and simple cocktails. With that said, I had a beer. When in Rome.

The DJ kept the crowd moving, and the whole space felt lively without being overwhelming. The venue does have clear bag and bag check policies, so make sure to check on their policies on their website before arriving. This location hosts multiple different businesses. Once arrived at the location, finding the entrance/floor to the venue itself was confusing unless you've been here before. There was barely any instructions on how to get to the actual venue itself. It is located on the third floor, and the elevator for that is old and smelly. The interior of the venue was not bad, but it wasn't the best either. The venue's lighting was also super dark even before/after the concert. My group had the front row balcony seat, and the view was actually pretty decent. I had purchased the party pass which came with priority entry, a small selection of foods, and a drink. You can find the menu on their website, but the menu is pretty pricey. I got the lemonade and chicken tenders/fries, and they tasted okay. My friend had the second row floor seat (which at certain spots were blocked by stage equipments). She also paid for the associated parking ahead at the time of booking, but the parking turned out to be super far from the venue, which wasn't great either. Overall I probably would not come back here unless there was a concert I really didn't want to miss.
