Initial visit yesterday for lunch - with friends - to watch the US / Germany World Cup game. First, the rating and the rational for the rating. Then, a few details from the experience. Rating: Venue: 4.5 stars Food/beverage: 3.5 stars Value: 4 stars Service: 2 stars Overall rating: I was torn between 3 and 4 stars, opted for 4 -- give the owner(s) the benefit of the doubt -- that the service and operational issues will be addressed. Details: The venue is well appointed - preservation of the old brick walls is a plus and the area is open/inviting. Unlike some restaurants in the downtown area, the space enabled us to have a conversation, and servers to move around easily, even though most all tables were occupied. Large flat screens surround the entire dining/bar area for easy viewing. The garage doors at the front are an interesting touch - they were closed yesterday to either keep the rain out or keep the zombies out - or both! Food/beverage: our party of 5 started with the sweet potato fries and artichoke dip as table shares. We all had a Bloody Mary, too. Our individual lunch choices were crab cakes, onion straws, sliders, and a sandwich/fries (I do not recall which sandwich). All were enjoyed with two exceptions: the Bloody Marys had too much black pepper (they make the mix in house) and the pork slider "put up quite a fight" regarding tenderness. (I uploaded a few pictures for additional context) Value: the menu options offer a very good variety and the pricing is fair for this local market. Service: This is the most troublesome aspect of the overall WH319 experience. Most of the staff are very young, untrained in the areas of service AND in the menu items. Simple questions about menu items went unanswered. A number of servers/busers/others seemed to do nothing but walk around and around and around - perhaps looking for a purpose. In spite of the "walking around" we had some difficulty flagging anyone down for various requests. The bar tender had to deliver our drinks (servers underage, maybe?) after we waited 20+ minutes. The reason we were given for the wait: the Bloody Mary mix is made in house so they had to make some. Hint: make some ahead of time - especially if you have promoted a sporting event that starts at 11am. Many of the servers seemed eager to please - just lacking the skills/training to do so. A well intentioned manager was walking around with a house made cake showing it to all diners - I am not certain I would like a piece of cake that had been "making the rounds" prior to being served. To repeat/summarize: four stars overall based on the "hope" the issues will be addressed. Jasper needs places like WH319 to be successful. read more

I had the Mahi Mahi basket and my girlfriend had a Burger of sorts and we were very much impressed with the quality of the food. However we went for lunch and waited 35 minutes for our food to get to our table. Service was good. Our server was very nice and professional. I wouldn't recommend it if you don't have at least an hour to spare. Overall great food for even better prices as long as you have time to wait! read more

Used Yelp to find a dinner stop for tonight off Corridor X as we came through Jasper and found Warehouse 319 - excellent shrimp and grits though you have to like spicy - sirloin was very tender and very thick, super sweet potato fries and very good house salads - the local musicians were an unexpected special treat and quite good!! Very creamy and one of the best tasting appetizers I have ever had. The coal miner is a great burger and is definitely a big burger. Nice bar and grill in little ol' downtown Jasper! Had the warehouse burger with fries which some of the fries had a fishy/funny taste to them so I'm assuming everything is fried in the same fryer. Burger was good, not the greatest thing in the world, but good and was slightly over cooked. Staff was friendly and nice, didn't catch their names but they were great. They have a full liquor bar. We ate tonight and really enjoyed our meal. I had the crab cakes, loaded potato and Caesar salad. I loved it all except the Caesar dressing. It tasted store bought, sweet and kinda cheap. We love the atmosphere at WH 319. LOVE the garage doors rolled up. WH 319 is my first choice for dinner with my hubby or a fun night out with friends. The menu covers the seafood lover but the steaks are my favorite!Don't forget to save room for dessert because the chocolate cake is fantastic or try the bread pudding as it is equally scrumptious. Great menu for lunch and dinner. Very nice drink menu as well with some signature cocktails. One of the best burgers in Jasper. I haven't had a bad meal yet in 10+ visits. Only complaint is it can be a little pricey. Burgers, sandwiches, and wings are a good deal but entrees and cocktails/beer are a little too expensive. We have been using Warehouse 319 to provide meals to our retired parents on a daily basis. This has been a wonderful arrangement. The meals are always prepared on time, hot and tasty. Based on appearance and ambience I'd give Warehouse 319 5stars. However, the food brought that down to 3 stars. My husband and I ordered the spinach artichoke dip for our starter and it was not as good as I was hoping. It tasted like they threw together sour cream, a little ranch dressing mix, pieces of artichoke, & a little bit of spinach. The spinach artichoke dip I buy at Publix is so much better and costs less. I ordered the shrimp scampi with a side of broccoli and my husband had a burger and fries. The shrimp scampi was bland. The shrimp itself had some flavor but the pasta noodles were very bland and nearly overcooked. My husband said his burgers and fries were good so that's why I gave Warehouse 319 3 stars and not 2. I thought the food was way overpriced for the quality. read more

I really like the fried green tomatoes. They are thick and at $8 well worth it. The steaks are great as well. The shrimp baskets and chicken finger baskets are excellent and the boneless wings are awesome. Everything I have gotten there is great. Cool decor. Roll up garage doors are awesome too. The wait time is long. Which normally would be okay if the service and food were worth the wait. Sadly Warehouse 319 leaves much to be desired. Steaks are average. You could buy the same thing at Ruby Tuesday in town. The pasta salad is tasty. Service is terrible. The wait staff is not attentive to their guests. The managers always seem to be running around in chaos. The bartenders, less than friendly. I've tried to dine their on several occasions in hopes that the next experience would change my opinion. When I arrived the wait staff was hanging out by the bar. It took a while befor someone to noticed me waitng at the hostess desk . When someone finally came to me I asked if they were open...there was only 1 patron in the restaurant so I wasnt sure. The waitress told me they were open and then asked me "What do you want?" I said, "I want to eat." I sat at a table that was never cleaned from last patron and I had to ask for it to be cleaned. Only me and 2 other in whole restaurant -not a busy time- and I was served cold fries with my burger - not made to orderfor certain. Nobody checked on me after I began my meal. The staff continued to hang out with bartender and chat. No staff stood where they could keep an eye on the guest. I had to waive my arms in a distressed manner to get someones' s attention for hot fries. I was told it would take a while for them to cook fresh fries. When they came they were over cooked and tough. Only right before the check was given to me did the waitress seem responsive to my dining experience. love the live music every time I go here...they also have very cold PBR 16 oz. in cans for a 2.00 beer( ad Lime for redneck Corona) walk down the street for the real deal if you want craft beer. was underwhelmed by their food and chocolate in the CHILI are you kidding me?!
