If you order the quesabirrias be mindful that instead of "consume" you get a cup full of oil! Place looks like it has a lot of potential my best guess...The cooks have gotten LAZY! read more

I'm really surprised by the negative reviews, the food was outstanding! We ordered chicken flautas with rice, steak fajita quesadilla & chicken quesadilla. The queso was good & wait staff was on top of things. Beautiful interior, looks to be newly decorated. We will definitely go back! read more

We ordered double steak and chicken fajitas to-go -- nearly $50 -- and when we got home, there were NO tortillas in the bag. Tortillas are not an optional extra. They are the foundation of fajitas. Without them, the meal is incomplete. It was 10 PM on a Sunday, 30 minutes from home, and no stores were open in Carbon Hill. Driving all the way back wasn't realistic. When we called to let them know we were told they would give us a double order of tortillas next time -- but only if we order fajitas again. That completely misses the point. What are we supposed to do with a double order of shells on a future visit? Eat them plain? What was most disappointing is that this solution came from Monica, the owner's wife. This is their business, and this is how a legitimate customer concern was handled -- with deflection ("we don't know if you ate the steak and chicken") instead of accountability. For the prices charged, basic order accuracy and reasonable customer service should not be too much to expect. Very disappointing experience. read more

Wednesday night before Thanksgiving. Lots of people like us who were ready for something different. Must have changed something since our previous visit. Marguerites not as good as usual. Service was quick. But food was lacking. My street tacos were dried out. Husband's meal was unrecognizable. Maybe new cook read more

Went for dinner. Restaurant was very busy. It took a good 10 minutes for our waitress to show up for drink orders and another 10 to get them. Placed our food order, took about 30 minutes to get it. We were just about to leave when the food finally showed up. Food was not hot at all. We were going to just take it home and heat it up to eat. Asked for to go boxes and the check. That took another 10 minutes and she came back with the to go boxes. Asked again for the check and yet waited for about another 10 minutes. We just left the food on the table. The other tables around us waited a long time for their food as well. I will not be going back again. read more

Huge place, nicely decorated, with added touches for Christmas. That is the good news. The food was below par.. start to finish. My beer (Modelo tap) was flat. the dinner (enchiladas supremos) was tasteless even with four different enchiladas... . If you go be prepared for noise. Our visit on a Saturday evening found a less-than half full restaurant, and still we could barely hear each other across the table. Nothing about our visit encouraged us to return. read more

Great place to eat. We both had the pork street tacos, chips and salsa, a peach margarita and a couple Modelo draft beers. No complaints. Very good food and excellent service. read more

Ordered 20oz $4.50 draft. When I got this small glass of draft beer. I took my 12 oz bottle of beer, filled it with water and filled my empty 20 oz glass of beer with water. After glass was full I still had at least 2 ozs of water left in bottle. I only had about 10 ozs of draft, but paid for 20ozs. Explained to management and she gave me .49 cents off my bill. Never order draft at this restaurant. Management is a disgrace. read more

Had to wait to be seated. Overcharged so watch your bill. Food was subpar. Couldn't find any cheese in the enchilada and one of us immediately got sick after we left. Will not return. read more

Ordered a medium lime margarita. Plenty of alcohol but zero taste of anything else. Even the lime I squeezed in didn't help. I didn't finish it. I tried. Small cheese dip came out hot and taste good. Carne Asada Tacos PHENOMENAL! Best meal I have had at this place. read more

have eaten here on many occassions tip culture is out of line when they added an 18% tip to our check because we had a 2 month old infant sitting at the table which they counted as a guest to call it a table of 6 guest. i called it to their attention to no avail won't be dining here again. service was poor besides read more

Not impressed with their chicken and rice here. Been to 100's of Mexican restaurants and I've seen better portions than this. For $11 nah! read more

Food and atmosphere were great. Service was a bit stand offish and not very welcoming. However they were pretty quick. Would definitely recommend for the food and atmosphere. read more

Good food. And big portions. Decent service quality. Loud atmosphere. Lots of people. Always busy!

They seemed to have cleaned the place up. The food is not as good as it use to be.... Was my go to for Mexican food. Servers are different too. read more

Last time we decided to "try one more time" it was bad. First of all the when we walked in it was "Smokey" from plates ordered. Took longer than usual for someone to come take our order. Drinks were minimal. It took longer to get food not sure why. read more

It was okay for the average Mexican food place. Nothing really sets it apart from other ones you would find anywhere else. Had the lunch steak fajitas, for 9.99 it was pretty reasonable. Chips really need some salt and the salsa was unusually chunky - I had one piece of tomato that took up half the dish. Service was pretty good. I'd go back, but not out of my way to do so read more

Worst wanna be Mexican restaurant I've ever experienced from the service to the food, and the careless ass manager who could care less at how crappy the service and food is , forcing people to tip 15% automatically on top of what you would already be giving the servers , overcharging you for food that's hardly even edible , you want real authentic flavourful Mexican food definitely don't waste your time here , you could get better food and service at a dang taco truck read more

Food was not good price was too high. It use to be one of the best Mexican restaurants in jasper. Now absolutely the worst.

Still better than Pepitos but not as good as Los Reyes. Their cheese dip is so good though. I ordered tacos one time and I bit into something that hurt my tooth. It was a potato. Kinda weird. But apparently they put potatoes in their tacos lol Salsa and cheese dip is much better here than at Los Reyes but I would take Los Reyes on their quality of entrees overall. read more

If you can imagine one of those run of the mill Americanized Mexican restaurants, then this is the spot. I'm not saying that as a negative because that is exactly what I was wanting after a hard day's work in the rain. Their cheese dip & stuffed jalepenos were on point. My friends said that their burritos were great. The decor of the place was nice & you should take the time to look around because there is a lot to see. The service was ok, but you could tell they were understaffed. I noticed a lot of their seat cushions were tired & worn out, but I enjoyed coming here. I think this place is one of the best restaurants in Jasper, AL! read more

A freaking roach was in our chips!!!! So disgusting. Will never come here again. I had already eaten my lunch and all of sudden it comes out of the chips! Ugh! read more

Was set at a dirty table...had to ask to get it cleaned. Food just ok...margarita straight out of a premix...menu confusing...guac salad was just an ordinary salad with guac on top...atmosphere was like a carnival with K Mart Muzak playing...American girl gave pretty service though. Couldn't recommend with a clear conscience. read more

I have been a customer for years and I have never had a negative experience, doesn't matter if it has been dine in or carry out. This is my favorite Mexican food restaurant in town. My favorite dishes are the nachos Mexicanos, nachos al carbon, fajita quesadilla, fish tacos, and any of the enchiladas. The margaritas are top notch as well. read more

This is my favorite in Jasper... Food is always hot, fresh, and tasty! The service is always fast, friendly, and attentive! The Margaritas are the best! Highly recommended read more

Food is really good here...and I would edge this over Ruby Tuesdays as the best in town. Ingredients all seemed fresh and food homemade. They have a little patio to sit outside and enjoy one of the many Mexican beers, tequila (other liquors as well) or margaritas. Service was fast and friendly but it was late on a Tuesday night. And they take American Express read more

My wife and I's favorite Mexican restaurant in town and the only one that has spinach cheese dip which is the best hands down!!

One of the two best Mexican restaurants in Jasper. In my opinion, you can always tell how much you will like the food if they have a good salsa. Cabos San Lucas does! The kids love the spinach queso dip. Service is fair to good, depending on the day that you go. Expect a crowd after church on Sundays. I love their burritos. If you have a chance, make sure that you give these folks a chance. read more

Great food and great margaritas It is a winner We were looking for something different than fast food and this restaurant was perfect read more

Terrible service. My waitress forgot about me, and also forgot my request for more salsa and chips twice. She brought out the wrong food (she also did this to another table right next to us), and made a racist comment about the cooks in the back. I was so turned off by this, and will never be coming back again. read more

Absolutely love this place. Food is good, always hot, always get our order right. My kids love it and so do we. The wait staff are friendly and helpful. My favorite dish is the guarache with chicken, my husband gets especial los cabos (fajitas with absolutely everything) and my kids eat grilled chicken nachos. But, that being said, I have never had anything that was not delicious. The cheese dip is fantastic and, if you like spicy food, the salsa picosa is always great (but really hot). read more

We had the fajitas and the service and food was great! Margaritas are large and were average tasting. Meal size is generous and chips and salsa were refilled without asking. Great place for a date night or family night. read more

I'm new to the area from California and want to try out Mexican food so I came to Cabo San Lucas for lunch. I had the Brito fajitas supposed to come with beans and rice never did I ask for no sour cream got no pico just lettuce with guacamole. The sauce is supposed to cover the burrito it was spotty no flavor to it, the meat onions and bell pepper inside was greasy and oily the meet was tough had to Chew it a lot to get it down.. none of the waiters or waitresses smiled or Looked happy. Very disappointed in the place, I guess if I want true Mexican food I have to go back to California You know one thing about the places or waitress is that she never asked me what was wrong with the food when I did not eat it all. read more

Excellent authentic Mexican food not many places round here consistently good but Cabos is always good

We eat at Cabos from time to time and it's a gamble on who's in the kitchen and who's working the floor. Last weekend we took the entire family. The salsa was watery and the shrimp in my salad was like hard rubber balls. Others said their food was "ok" but certainly not up to standards. Our server was very inattentive. With 3 other Mexican restaurants in the area, we're going to skip Cabos for a while and see if they can work on being consistent. read more

Decor is very festive. The place seems clean. The receptionist was efficient but not very friendly. Maybe she was having a bad day? The servers were quick and knew the menu. Now for the food. Loved the salsa with good chips! I ordered the chicken tacos - I think #7. Two tacos. Rice and beans. Rice was good and beans were good. Chicken had obviously been sitting in water and was flavorless. My husband got the fish tacos and he liked them. They are definitely deep fried. So overall a good experience but I would not get the chicken tacos again. Salsa was the best part! read more

My husband and I came here tonight for the very first. We've heard rave reviews about this place so we figured we would try it. Upon walking in we could see it was busy. We stood there waiting for 15 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. Then a lady just pointed to a table sent us to it. Our waiter came over, asked if we wanted chips and cheese dip. Never once did we know we had to pay for it, until the bill came. Our food came out at the same time as our appetizer. Then our food was burnt to a crisp on the veggies and steak for our fajitas. I was really hoping this place would be great. However their lack of customer service and poor food quality means we will not back. read more

My fav Mexican restaurant in Jasper. Decor is nice, food aways fresh, good service. Nice presentation of dishes also.

Horrible horrible horrible service! The guy hands us our menus leaves us standing at the front to go clean a table....and then proceeds to serve food and take orders while we stand waiting for him to sit us....DONE read more
