Wasn't the battery and seemed like maybe a fuel injection issue or electrical issue. Long story short I had the car towed to Kennett and Sons around 1 pm and I didn't expect to hear anything until tHe day after Christmas being that it was 1 pm on Xmas eve. At 230 I was told the car was ready. Couldn't believe it. The owner, Ricky, explained that the engine was basically flooded with fuel from the auto start not working. He said it took him 15 minutes to remove the plugs and remove excess fuel. When I asked what I owed him said, " Nothing". Merry Xmas to me I guess. Thanks again Ricky. I read the other review and agree the shop isn't much to look at but then again either Is the one I take my car to in New Jersey and I trust the mechanic there too.

Cons: Very dirty and…read moreunkempt facility. trash, bottles, paperwork everywhere. Doesn't feel like a place that values their storefront and customer perception. The young man working was a bit standoffish at first, and took time to warm up. There wasn't really a sense of professionalism from the employees (young and old alike). Lots of swearing and inappropriate conversations happened both with and around me. Pros: After warming up a bit, the employees became very friendly and had a good sense of humor. They completed my car inspection very quickly and charged what I felt was a reasonable price. They offered good advice on car maintenance and weren't too pushy with up-selling. They wen tout of their way to help me with another car problem even though they wouldn't necessarily make money off of it. Overall: This wouldn't be my first choice as a recommendation, and I definitely felt uncomfortable just standing in the shop (wouldn't go anywhere NEAR the couches). However the friendly demeanor that slowly appeared throughout my time chatting with the workers changed my mind a bit. This definitely would have been a 1-star review if not for the guys helping me out in the end.

I was traveling home to New Hampshire from Pennsylvania after a camping trip when I started having…read moresome serious issues with my car and had to pull over. I ended up needing a tow and had to unexpectedly stay the night in Manchester. As a young woman traveling alone, being stranded somewhere you don't know can be a pretty scary and stressful experience. The first person I met from Paul's was the tow truck driver who came to pick up my car and bring it to their shop. I unfortunately didn't catch his name, but I really wish I had because he was wonderful. He could tell I was traveling alone and took the time to tell me which hotels in the area would be safest for me to stay at. He made sure I had somewhere safe to go and that I got there okay before we parted ways. That small act of kindness meant so much to me, especially in a situation where I was already feeling overwhelmed and vulnerable. The next day, my dad drove down from New Hampshire so we could tow my car back home, and that's when I met Gene. I truly could not have asked for a kinder person to help us. Gene is one of those people you immediately feel comfortable and safe around, even when meeting him for the first time. He went above and beyond to make sure my car was secure, everything was taken care of properly, and we were completely ready for the trip back to New Hampshire. What could have been an incredibly scary and stressful experience was made so much easier because of the people at Paul's. Both the tow driver who helped me that first night and Gene the following day treated me with genuine kindness and made my safety feel just as important as taking care of my car. I'm incredibly grateful that, of all the places I could have ended up while stranded so far from home, I ended up at Paul's. Gene and the tow driver I met are both such an asset to the team. If I'm ever in the area again, or know anyone nearby who needs help with their vehicle, I will absolutely be sending them to Paul's Towing & Auto. Thank you to both of you for looking out for me and making a really stressful situation feel a whole lot less scary. Your kindness meant more than you probably realize.

Jason, Dave and the whole crew are professional, courteous, talented, and respectful . The front office is the bomb!
