I moved here just over a year ago, and because a person I met recommended Kresge's, I used them to repair my Subaru Outback. Not once, but many times, as I would take my 2015 Outback off-road exploring New England. I'd damage, bend, and break things on these trails. They always went above and beyond to help me get my Outback straightened out. Now I have a 2017 Jeep Rubicon, and they have added a full lift kit, skid plates, installed 37" tires, and even helped out with some minor fabrication of my Jeep. They have always treated me fairly and with respect, doing their very best to solve any of my self caused issues. I love these guys. Give them a shot, and you will too. read more

Called to make an appointment for an alignment and was given an appointment 10 days later. My husband stopped in with the car to have the tires checked before the work was done, he was told the tires were fine...I dropped the care off at 7:50a, stating I needed an alignment (I have a Legacy) and the guy that took my keys said "Cadillac?" I knew there was going to be an issue when he then went on to tell me he was so tired because he "worked on a roof all weekend and his guys didn't show up." Got a call at 3:50 that afternoon with the amount for the work ($165.00). I asked about the tires to make sure everything was fine and got "why would I look at the tires?" After I explained, the mechanic told me he did an oil undercoat, not an alignment, and proceeded to tell me my tires were dry rotted (after 4 years) and the tread was marginal at best. He said I should be thankful for the oil undercoat he would be writing off and I should come get the car. I went to pick up the car, with my husband, and he told us his "check in guy" told him I was there for a 4-tire mount and balance!!! Seriously, with all that confusion he couldn't call me?? What a hack, he contradicts himself with every sentence and lied to my face about the tires. DO NOT TRUST this garage or these so-called mechanics - terrible experience, I wish they had a negative star rating choice. read more

Unbelievable service and very fair pricing. I was driving from Texas to Maine when one of my trailer's wheels began to smoke. Fortunately, the incident occurred in Brattleboro and a local gas station employee gave me Kresge's card; I drove to the shop, very slowly. Mike, the owner, dropped what he was doing and repaired the problem. 90 minutes later, I was on my way again. What could have been a major delay became only a minor inconvenience. Shoddy workmanship, untrustworthy I brought my son's 2000 VW Passat into Kresge's Alignment Service to install a steering wheel rack. There was no problem with the car's engine and speedometer when it was dropped off but when my son picked up his car the speedometer didn't work and after a few miles the car started to lose power and buck. Another garage replaced the cracked speed senor, which fixed both problems. Kresge refused to admit that it's technician had caused the problem and refused to refund what it cost to repair the cracked sensor. There was a lot of "he said, she said, finger pointing" as to who caused the problem. I would advise anyone to avoid dealing with Kresge. The owner is simply untrustworthy, unprincipled, and obviously does not own up to his mistakes. read more

I've been bringing both my cars to Kresge's for a while now, and I've had the BEST service. Any time I need my car brought in, no questions asked its handled and they make the time that same day. I broke the steering rack in my car, they took the time to shop around for the best prices on the parts and the best possible timing for labor. Mike has been the most upfront with me every time I go there. Took time out of his day on a Saturday when they were closed to fix my car because it didn't take the first time. Not only did he fix it, he didn't charge me. He's always honest with and never gives me the run around. Thank you guys! I appreciate all you do! read more

Don't I feel like a fool! Support local businesses I said. Not this one! I was charged almost $200 for an oil change and inspection for a one year old vehicle in perfect condition. I complained and asked for the owner only to be told that he was busy but would get back to me. I'm the meantime I called the dealership and was quoted $90.00 for the exact same service. Kresge's response: "the state says we can charge whatever we want." Rip-off! read more

I brought my B class van in for a pretty technical lift and fitment. A couple bugs along the way do to the manufacturers fault, slowed the install and completion. Kresge's was more than accommodating throughout the process, stuck to their original quote and I ended up a very happy customer. The install has seen several thousand miles without problems and I can confidently recommend Friends to the shop. Their undercoating is also recommended. read more

he striped my log nuts right off my dodge neon car on rotating my tires and said it was striped from the start and we know it was not striped they were brand new log nuts he refused to fix it and refused to knock half off on charging me last time bringing my car to kresge's. I will bring my car to fletchers fletchers is better he fixes the problem and not causes other problems with the other vichecles read more

My friend brought his vehicle in to have an alignment, oil change and tire rotation done which required an appointment. The week came and he dropped the truck off at 9am, they told him it would take all day to service the vehicle. He received a phone call at noon stating, "the entire front end of the truck needs repair, including upper and lower ball joints, tie rods, etc..." So my friend knows his truck pretty well and asks the manager to just perform what he requested, the manager refused. They wanted to do over 800.00 in "extra," work before they would perform the alignment. So my friend says he's coming to get the truck. They said "fine come get it"w but when he got there they had all conveniently "gone to lunch," with his truck locked in the garage, still on the rack. He returns after they are back and the owner calls him into his office and hands him an estimate for the additional work. This did not include the originally requested work. The owner then hands him a bill for 36.00 for "labor." When he stated that none of the requested work was completed and that he did not ask for an additional vehicle inspection, the owner stated "I don't run a charity, this is a business." My friend then refused to pay the 36.00 dollars "labor"," and was told, "don't come back here again, not for anything, you can leave now." They even acted as if they were not going to return his truck to him until he paid the erroneous labor charge. Do not trust these people. Another friend reports the same scam occurred to him and his father is supposedly "friends" with Kresge himself. read more
