The crinkle fries have changed to thin ones instead of the fat cut crinkle fries. I'm a tots person, but sadly couldn't get tots because they were out. Possibly this will only be a place we go to when it's milkshake season again. We felt bad for our waitress, as she was the only one managing tables, register, phone, bar, everything. The more people in the restaurant the louder it gets. We try to sit in an area away from others to help reduce the noise. We'll still go, but seasonally.

Great stop to have burgers!…read more Gave it 4 stars because I read a review that said to try their fries. I tried their fries, and they were unremarkable. But I still ate them. My husband had the BLT. Said it tasted homemade which is a compliment! Wait staff was good. Service prompt and friendly. We kept going back and forth to find the place because we were looking for a big sign in the building. Later we saw the signs along the road. If the fries were as good as the burger and BLT, this would have been a 5 star review. I should have tried the jojos instead. My husband had the poppers. Yummy. Formulate your own opinion and try this place. We were passing through on a roadtrip. If we're back again, you can be sure that I'll order the burger, with jojos. Oh... another thing. I read about the air conditioning being too cold in other reviews. I run hot anyway, so it was perfect for me. My husband wore his jacket, if that tells you anything. I would much rather be at a place where it's too cold, than too hot. It was in the 90's outside, so having a burger and a sandwich was a welcome relief.

All delicious and plenty to eat! It took a few minutes for me to be noticed to be escorted to a table. Got up and had to find a menu. When being taken to a table please don't forget to give your guest a menu. Even after the apology and given 2 more menus (one for Brunch and one for drinks), it left a bad taste in my mouth about a first impression of the business. Thankfully, the food was fresh and tasty! This the 4 star rating.

We dropped in around 1:00pm and snagged seats on one of their outdoor picnic tables. Our server was friendly but beware, they don't inform you of the automatic 18% gratuity on the bill. Nothing on any of their menu's state that either. Super unimpressed because we ended up double tipping. Menu consists of appetizers, hot sandwiches + burgers, cold sandwiches and salads. They also have a brunch menu (weekends only from 9:00am to 1:00pm) and drinks. - Rocking horse caesar ($8.25) - O is a picky drinker but he said it wasn't half bad. - 2x Weezy wings ($12.00) - our group shared one order with a dill dip ($1.00 extra). The wings were not good; dry and almost tasteless. The louisian style hot sauce they coated the wings with was bland. - Seattle fries ($6.00) - found these oversalted. - 4x Pastrami ($15.00) - we opted for the kettle chips (made in-house). A touch of a peppery Cajun note. The pastrami had a good sauce and the cheese complimented the meat. The bread was well buttered and had a crunchy bite to it. - Choreazy ($15.00) - we went with the daily soup (chicken and rice) which was delicious. Homey and comforting, something your mom/grandma would feed you. The chorizo was homemade but flavours were a bit mute. An okay sandwich that we didn't particularly love or hate. Food was decent but can't get over the shady practices. 2.5 stars.

The night we stumbled on this place was a night they had ribs on for their special. I have been all over the place to have good BBQ. These ribs blew them all away. The sauce they make there is what other sauces only dream they could be. It is the PLATINUM standard for BBQ sauce. Team, please, please make some and send it to me. I am having withdrawals! My wife who does not care much ribs kept stealing mine! Needless to say we BOTH enjoyed them. but the pleasure train did not stop there, oh no, we were on a ride and it had just started. The veggies, (carrots and broccoli) along with garlic mashed potatoes (i'm certain they were made by angels) had my wife and I savoring each and every tasty bite. We ordered two of their TO DIE FOR mocktails, honestly they were so good my mouth is still tasting that sweet nectar. And based on how good those were, I am certain any of them you order will the 110% out of this world. We also had the stuffed mushrooms from the Tapas menu along with a tomato red pepper blend soup (soup of the day, made fresh) that had us both mouth-gasiming! No joke, this review is not over. We ended up being able to meet the owner who is just the most authentic person we have met in a long time. Very true to herself and on point with every detail in her establishment, we were over the moon when she brought us a dessert for our anniversary. This caramel, chocolate covered mousse was a true wonder to taste. Literally cry worthy (well honestly all of their food is), we shed actual tears through this first meal because of how happy it made us feel. Dinner 5 stars nothing less and anyone who would do less than 5 stars needs help rethinking their life's choices. It was so good we came back for breakfast... speaking of.. Breakfast!! This place is known for its charcuterie Tapas aaaaaaand sandwiches!! We split the breakfast sandwich that was an astonishing combination of the most delectable bread, eggs, meat and yes, greens we have EVER tasted. ULTRA devine!! We also had a couple pastries. The turnover was flakey, perfectly sweet (but not too sweet) exact right amount of filling and still very fresh. (fresh we will get to, its a thing for me to write about so hold on you need to know more) The pudding dessert we had (yes we had it at breakfast, judge me) was nothing short of pure dopamine hit to the mouth. Our bodies were tingling with the immense sensation of this breakfast. Did I mention my wife had a London fog with breakfast? No, hold on, this drink was way more than we bargained for. I am not sure where this place learns to make drinks but I can tell you the skill these ladies have here is simply unparalleled! On our day of departure we went back and had lunch (mainly because I LOVE a good reouben) and theirs again, blew us away! We also had their soup of the day which was a potato bacon if I remember correctly. I had to remember my manners and not grab the bowl and guzzle it down. We topped this delectable course off with a few of their macrons. Let me tell you, if you don't try them you are wasting your time. Stunning, blissful, (so good we bought more to take home) and oh, oh my heavens the best way to cap off this place. Ok, so the food is 100% 5 stars no question but that is not all this place does for you. The thought and care that went into the ambiance and atmosphere of this place it SO on point and on theme with "queen" it had us finding something new we liked each time we went in. It's more than that though, the food is freaky fresh. We saw a post of the owner on her Instagram page getting real fresh grown food they use in the restaurant and if you don't know already you can TASTE IT!! If this is the only place you go to eat in Osoyoos (we went a couple other places and they were not even close to this) Queen of the south is the place you MUST go to. Everything on that menu is good from what we tried. Going there 3 times and having be consistent is what made me write this review. I was telling people that came in how good it was because it made me that happy. True Queens run this place. A huge thank you to the staff and owner who adorned us with the delightful menu of hand crafted goodness that made our trip even more worth it!

The service was great! I ordered a risotto which was good, but not amazing. The asparagus was crunchy and seemed not fully cooked. We sat on the patio but it was loud since it was on a busy street with constant traffic. The outdoor booth was comfortable, although very low down making it hard to reach my food on the table. Overall, this is a great option for a nice meal in Penticton, but could be improved with better seating and higher quality cooking.

We are Americans that live in a somewhat remote area, so we regularly travel to the Penticton area for shopping and amenities that can't be found in our local area. After we completed our errands this afternoon we decided to stop in to The Nest for a round of drinks and appetizers before returning home. We had the pleasure of being served by the owner himself, who is an extremely friendly and polite gentleman. The vibe upon walking in immediately felt casual and welcoming. The owners passion for what he does shines when he speaks about the menu and about the restaurant. He was extremely attentive despite being short staffed this evening, and being it was our first time in he took the time to explain that the restaurant uses only locally sourced ingredients, and makes as much as they can from scratch in house. The drink menu is pretty expansive and is full of many craft cocktails that are not commonly found elsewhere. Being someone who loves a French 75 and a Tom Collins, I was happy to see both. You'll find many specialty flavors of margaritas, gin and tonics, and smoked cocktails all made with locally distilled spirits. Additionally, they have a nice selection of local beer, wine, and cider when available. As far as the food menu, there are few (if any!) other restaurants I can honestly say I would be willing to try every item on the menu, but this is one of them. There is a unique collection of dishes and options for everyone, with entree options varying from red meat, to seafood, to gluten free, to vegetarian. We opted for two of the appetizers, the baked Brie and nuts and the bison carpaccio. Both were exceptional and fresh tasting. The quality of the ingredients used is apparent. This place will have to be one of our go-to spots from now on. The service is enough to keep you coming back, but we are so looking forward to trying everything else the menu has to offer. Highly recommend giving this place a chance if you haven't already!
