Ward Cafe is phenomenal and you should eat there. I can tell the food is very good based on having eaten it. They also have hookas.

I found this place my accident. One of my coworkers called me this morning about a place with a…read moresimilar name he found on Yelp. When I did the search this place came up and even though there was no Yelp activity (reviews, tips or check ins) and after checking their online menu, we decided to give it a try. Now we have a small deli in our building, this is no means an even comparison. We have a small variety of items that we can order and they only take cash. Who does that in the 21st century? Skyline is a little hard to find because there are no signs and it is located in the Worley Parsons building. Once we walked in we just followed the people that were streaming in and out of the deli. First of all, they have a very extensive menu. It includes: Paninis, wraps, daily specials and combos, build your own salads, pasta and sandwiches, breakfast, tacos, smoothies, beverages and desserts. They also do catering! I can eat here every day and not have the same thing! My friend ordered the chicken and dumplings special of the day with green beans and he enjoyed it thoroughly. I had a ham and cheese panini with a cup of chicken noodle soup. The soup was hot and had very good flavor.and the panini was prepared perfectly for me. They have a beverage section with fountain drinks and 2 types of tea with free refills which I took advantage of. Lastly they take all types of payments and there is an ATM if you need cash. They even have a rewards program that I will check out.

I eat here occasionally and get breakfast tacos, always good and fresh. Not to level to go out of…read morethe way for, but certainly not passing up if you're hungry.

The interior is a little narrow but there's a decent number of seating available and the Halloween decorations were so cute! We ordered from the Kiosk and got the following: Grilled Pork Banh Mi Old School Bahn Mi I love how the bahn mi's come with chicken pho soup and rainbow chips! It took around 15 minutes for the food to be ready and we took it back home to eat. I enjoyed my grilled pork banh mi! The meat was a little too salty for me but the flavor overall was decent. I enjoyed the chicken pho soup and the rainbow chips were satisfying. My friend got the old school banh mi and said it was good but nothing extraordinary. Overall, this is a good spot for some banh mi if you're in the area and want some side dishes to complete the meal. Looking forward to trying other items on the menu when I come back next time.

We also tried the Grill Pork Rice Box. It was just ok. The price was decent, but portions seemed rather small. 3/5. Since this place was famous for the Boss Lady Fried Chicken, we ordered this to go as well. The chicken is big. However, it's not as tasty as our benchmark place in Bellaire. The place is quite tiny - there's inadequate seating for any party larger than two. Also, there are no restrooms for customers.

Yesterday was my birthday, and I've been wanting to try this place for the longest time. Seriously,…read moreabout a year. Every time I'm in town, it's either too far, I'm short on time, or (of course) they're closed. FYI: they're closed on Sundays... learned that the hard way, lol Today, though, fate intervened. I was in the area visiting one of our business clients, drove right past it, and immediately told myself: after this meeting, I'm turning around and eating there. No excuses. Fast forward...I parked in front, and I swear it felt like there was a halo over the restaurant name. Okay, maybe I'm being dramatic... but if you've been craving a place for a year, you'd understand. Walking in, the décor was warm and inviting. There's wall artwork and a shelf filled with Filipino snacks...Chocnut, which instantly took me back to childhood. That alone already had me smiling. My servers, Rhiley, Hailey and Adrian weresuch a pleasant surprise. Super welcoming, shared a bit of the restaurant's history, and made the whole experience feel personal. The vibe reminded me of the hangout spots my little brother and I used to go to comfortable, familiar, and full of heart. Now, the food...I knew I was getting a burger... but deciding which one? Not easy. They've got multiple options, and yes...burgers with rice combos (Filipino-approved ). I went with the Jaboi Burger: Siopao bun, Wagyu patty, medium rare, Sauce that tied everything together beautifully...I also ordered the garlic fries and sampled their sauces. My favorites? The house-made mayo and BBQ...both solid wins. To end the meal, dessert was a must. I ordered the halo-halo (small size), which honestly is perfect for sharing. A sweet, nostalgic way to close out the experience. Everything was amazing. Truly worth the wait and yes, I'll definitely be back. Once we sat down, we were served a small bowl of potato chips which were pretty bland. We ordered the lechon kawali as a warm up. It was very crispy, dry and lacking in flavor. The sauce tasted like a mix between balsamic dressing and brown gravy, but didn't really help improve the taste of the pork belly. For entrees, we ordered the Flip 'n Patties burger and the mini Kamayan. The burger itself was good, but the unexpected pickle (not listed on the menu) kind of ruined the burger for me. The mini kamayan arrived mostly lukewarm, and several of the meats were dry. The chicken pupu was decent, Tito Don's BBQ tasted like a dry bbq brisket, the longganisa reminded me of a seasoned hamburger patty. I skipped the fliproll after my friend said it was bland. The decor is very casual, the service was friendly and attentive, and parking was easy with a free lot.
