I was locked out of my home on a holiday evening. They picked up my call but couldn't give me an ETA or quote, saying the technician would call directly and provide the details. The technician called promptly after, asked for my address and said he would arrive within 15 mins. Upon arrival, he said he couldn't pick a single cylinder deadbolt and that he would have to drill it, rendering it unusable. He didn't provide an exact quote at that point, only a wide range for the price saying it depends on difficulty. After he finished drilling, he kept the cylinder, threw away the hardware, and didn't even clean up the metal shavings. Overall he charged a "discounted" service call fee (which wasn't previously mentioned) and a fee for drilling (which was allegedly the same price as picking a lock). He also said he would "waive the tax", which is ridiculous since labor is generally not subject to sales tax anyways. Overall, paid nearly $400 which felt like a ripoff for the job and locksmith but recognize the prompt service. I will try to find someone more trustworthy and transparent next time. read more

I was able to get into my apartment after locking myself out. The price was very reasonable and they were able to get it done without having a really long wait. Few nights ago I went to third street, in Santa Monica. Around 11pm, we went back to the car only to realize we cannot find the keys. First of all, I would like to start off by saying this place is great because they operate 24 hours. I don't live locally to Los Angeles (I live about 30 miles away so coming back home is a nightmare. Takes about 2 hours). So when I found out I locked my keys inside my car I almost fainted at the thought of having someone go through the trouble to get my spare keys and having to drive back in that insane 2 hour traffic or even having to get an Uber, which probably would have costed me way more than what I paid for a locksmith. I am forever grateful for the wonderful technician who helped me. While returning home after taking my son to see his grandma I accidentally shut my keys in the trunk with the stroller. It was already after noon and I had another 5 hours to drive with my 10 month old getting increasingly cranky.
