Adult meaning in terms of complexity. So, when I was brought here on their recommendation to find a popular but still niche game called Runes of Arnak. I was impressed that they had it when it was out of stock online at many places. They have all the board games you could dream of, including ones that you can't find easily on places like Amazon. As well as a huge and active play area that had a bunch of people playing games and campaigns on the night that we went. They're open late, so it's easy to go there after work. They even have Gunpla, which are like Gundam models, so like giant robot anime models, figures from things like Pokémon and Dragon Ball Z, a large selection of Pokémon cards and other trading card games like Magic the Gathering, One Piece, etc. They also had a lot of booster boxes, which shows me that they aren't giving into scalpers, which is extremely rare. So, you might actually be able to get product here, which for Pokemon especially is crazy. Given the market. Service was excellent, if not a little understaffed. It was a bit of a line to get my game. So it's clear that people actually running this shop care about the community and not just about pure profit. I know it might be a little bit inconvenient comparing to an overnight Amazon shipped board game, but please go here. Niche shops like this, especially ones that are actually doing well and cater to nerdy hobbies when we've all gotten so lazy, are really amazing... and honestly, the play area kind of felt like a third space to hang out. BUT, today i finally took some of my oldest friends to rent a tent and play some games from their vast game library. we had the BEST TIME!!! you begin by selecting the games you want to try first, so you're not paying the hourly rate while you browse your selections - a very nice touch that i absolutely appreciated. their selection of games is plentiful, almost overwhelmingly so! despite this, the games were organized in sections of categories AND alphabetically which was awesome. we are tabletop board game amateurs, so we picked a few that caught our eye, plus a childhood favorite, candyland. we also picked a few fun things from their selection of international snacks for sale. we checked out just for the snacks, and then the kind and courteous employee helped show us to our tent. from there, they time you for your gameplay at just $3 per hour per person. i find this to be an incredible value!!!! especially in the context of other activities, not just in orange county, but in garden walk. it's an unbeatable price for the little private space to enjoy quality time. i can see myself coming back here again and again and again, because of how vast their collection is and how financially accessible it is. a few tiny critiques: i'd love to see a couple of my personal favorite games make their way onto the shelves: Pretty Pretty Princess and Piles! also, i know they're looking to expand into more food and drink than just shelf-stable items, and i cannot wait! i just hope that if and when they do expand in this way, that the gameplay itself stays as affordable. overall, thank you meeples family! i genuinely cannot wait to be back!

I literally just started going because it was a convenient stop on my commute. But on my second visit to this place, I witnessed an incredibly uncomfortable interaction at Card Addiction. I saw a similar story on google reviews and it may be the same incident, but I also wouldn't be surprised if this has happened multiple times. I saw the owner publicly accuse a customer of stealing a $0.50 die. The customer earnestly apologized and tried to explain the misunderstanding. The owner would hear nothing of it and instead began repeatedly calling them a thief and spewing such hateful energy at them it made me sick. Everyone watching could see that it was an honest mistake, yet this sorry excuse of an owner doubled down on this narrative he had in his own head. It was so off puting as a customer to see a representative of a business in our community failing to show any kind of professionalism, common sense, respect, or basic decency. No business owner should treat customers with that level of hostility over an honest mistake, much less a 50 cent mistake. Publicly humiliating someone over most things is generally distasteful and an in this case an abuse of power. Buyer beware for this establishment. The other post on Google got a response where the owner once again defended his disgusting behavior and doubled down further by going as far as to accuse the person who posted the review a theif as well. If this review isn't proof enough, then the lack of remorse, humility, and most importantly accountability in the response to feedback should be the nail in the coffin for this owner.

Nothing like Game Stop actually lol My husband is familiar with Warhammar. This is a totally new concept to me though! Warhammar is a hobby that involves creating models to build your army. At least, that is my takeaway from talking to the employee. He was explaining to us how it works. So, you buy the miniature pieces and then you can pain them however you want. Then you add the miniatures together to create your army. Your friends do the same process, and then you "battle" their army. It is pretty cool. Do We Collectibles offered only 70% TRADE Value. I understand every shop has different margins, but I found the offer to be well below what other local shops are willing to offer, let alone trade. I'd recommend shopping around before making a deal here.
