What a find! Great authentic Thai food in a takeout restaurant!
We were impressed by the cleanliness, you could look straight into the kitchen where a bunch of people were cooking orders. As they did have a few tables we asked if we could dine in, which was allowed. Most people were coming in to order or pick up. It was busy and our food took a while, but it was a pleasant place - nothing fancy but so much going on. We both ordered vegetarian red curry, and they didn't disappoint our taste buds! Delicious bowls of steaming curry with a decent sized amount of rice. We had ordered the regular seasoning but learned that we could order normal, spicy, very spicy and Thai spicy.
The normal was very good; next time we'll try spicy!
We were allowed to bring in a beer from "the Butler" - a spirits boutique a few doors down that is their beer and wine supplier. We wanted to taste a beer by a regional brewery, which they didn't sell at the restaurant. The artwork on the can of the beer is designed by a tattoo artist from Harderwijk who now has a business in Amsterdam. Very cool! And good tasting beers. The restaurant itself offers Thai beers and other beverages.
The owner visited us in the end to see if we had liked our meal. She and her husband opened the restaurant two years ago and have been busy since. She told us delivery can be a problem but clientele is obviously not! We'll be back for more! read more
