Since a friend of mine wanted to try this place, I went along. We went for the one thing you have to do in a place like this: the seafood tower. This includes few oysters and a fish-stock soup to start (my first and last time I ate oysters I might add). The waiter was pretty annoying en kept pressing us to get a bottle of wine (as I heard him do with other customers). This got so annoying to the point that (even though we did plan on getting a bottle) we left after finishing our meal. He even tried to get us to stay for desert or coffee in the same annoying manner. Even though the food was great, I'm not coming back to this place again.

I had a draft beer by Brouwerij Maximus; I'm pretty sure that it was the brutus. I basically loved the beer -- one piece of evidence for this is that I ordered a second glass immediately after finishing the first one. De Markt is nice inside (where we sat). The servers were friendly and came over quickly when our pitchers of tap water were empty or when looked as though we were otherwise needy.
