Came here as a group of 5 after a convention. Was very happy with the service. Of note this is a local chain with several locations. Their seafood is very fresh and delicious. Their main location around centraal is very busy but this one in De Pijp is less boisterous which also makes it much easier to book a table. I ordered the vongele which was more of a starter but still a decent size. If you're an American you might feel the portion was small but I thought it allows us to try more of the menu. Would come back!

I had an absolutely amazing time, I got the crab cakes as well as some sides since I'm a picky eater. It was absolutely delicious as well as the seafood tower we got to all share, Malica was our server and did a great job. The over all ambience of the place was great too. Didn't have to wait for a table and the service was very quick.

Ordered: Bread with herb butter (~€4) Dutch shrimp croquettes (~€14) + extra croquette (~€3) Grilled Octopus from Galicia (~€15) Garlic Crushed Potatoes (~€7) 12pc Oysters (~€43) Asian-style Mussels (~€23): with coconut milk, lemongrass, and cilantro Combination for 2 persons (~€90): combination of fruits de mer "seafood bar" and mixed grill Aya's take: Exceptionally fresh, well-flavored, and adequately seasoned seafood! The long wait-times are proof of it. We had a reservation for 8pm and they couldn't squeeze us in any earlier. Even our 8pm reservation was delayed quite a bit. For 4 people, we definitely over-ordered. The Mixed Grill portion of the Combination is a must! I did like the "Seafood Bar" portion too but there were some things I could've skipped so I would prefer to maybe pick and choose what to go next time. The Garlic Crushed Potatoes were a bit of a let down; they weren't crispy or had a lot of garlic flavor. I was adding the herb butter on them for more flavor. All in all, The Seafood Bar is a modern restaurant serving a wide variety of seafood; this is a great lunch or dinner spot.

We went there for some seafood, drinks and dessert, after an earlier dinner. We sat on the window seats overlooking the open kitchen. The restaurant has a pleasant, soothing ambience, and the chef is super friendly. The oysters are fresh, with a tinge of sweetness, the Sgroppino is very freshing, with a perfect combination of lemon sorbet and cold vodka.

What a fab find in Amsterdam near our hotel , the Sir Albert. The seafood here is outstanding & so fresh. The oysters from the Netherlands were insanely delicate & flavorful served with a great mignonette. Hubby enjoyed the delish Branzino, a seabass stuffed with fresh herbs. We also adored the razor clams & the king prawns. Combined with their great champagne, wine & beer list this place is a Hit! Service was great too, thanks Matthys !

Another great surprise while in Amsterdam. Fresh and well prepared seafood ! They didn't have on the menu hot Mussels and Clams (cockles) the way I like but the very friendly lady helping us asked the chef and he prepared it. Many oysters options and the shrimp was also perfect !! Last but not least Ruinart by the glass was great !! Staff is great and super friendly !!

I saw this restaurant while doing some research for our Amsterdam vacation and decided to make a reservation through their website. Fast forward 2 weeks later and we were in Amsterdam last Monday having a fabulous seafood dinner on a Monday night. The place was packed and people were waiting outside to be seated. So glad I made that reservation. We were greeted by a friendly hostess who showed us the fresh catches of the day. Once we were seated, we had not one, but 2 wait staffs who waited on us. One was serious and professional, while the other was fun loving. We knew right away it was going to be an enjoyable meal. My husband and I ordered Fruits de Mer for 2 people with additional 6 oysters. Oh my god, the anticipation was killing us, but well worth it. When it arrived, I've died and gone to heaven. The most beautiful, succulent seafood mix I had ever seen was presented in front of me. The lobster was juicy, tender, & sweet, the prawns had eggs, and the razor clams made my mouth extremely happy. It was probably one of the best meals I've ever had. It was so good, we came back 2 nights later and indulged in pure gluttony all over again. Oh how I wish we were back in Amsterdam.......

Asked for recommendations for where to eat from some of the locals and were directed to The Seafood Bar. We were not disappointed, although a bit more expensive then what I'm used to, I would recommend trying it while in Amsterdam as you really do get what you pay for and it was extremely fresh and delicious. We got the seafood Fruits de Mer, which is an amazing spread of seafood crustaceans and shellfish. also tried the Fritto misto (deep fried fish, shrimp. and calamari which was good but the star of the show was definitely the Fruits de Mer. The restaurant itself is set up to look a little like a fish market with all the fresh fish they use to cook and serve on display in the front counter. Highly recommend going here, especially if you just came out of the Heineken experience like we did as it was less than five minute walk.

Before going any further, I want to highlight how impressive the fish market is. It feels almost like stepping into a wholesale seafood market, complete with checker-tape pricing. The staff will tell you exactly how each item can be prepared. For example, when we ordered a dozen mussels, they explained all the options and recommended a coconut curry preparation--an excellent choice and absolutely delicious. Once you have your ticket, you head into the wine bar. The team already knows how your meal will be prepared and offers thoughtful wine-pairing suggestions based on your selections. From there, you're taken to your table, where the outstanding service continues. We were served a beautiful basket of fresh bread almost immediately, along with our chosen wine. By the way, did I mention how beautiful the place is! For starters, I ordered a dozen oysters, and each pair was prepared in a different style. Every single one was outstanding. The mussels in curry sauce were so good that I needed extra bread just to savor every drop. Finally, we had monkfish--an impressively large piece, perfectly cooked, beautifully presented, and absolutely incredible. From start to finish, the entire experience was exceptional. The team at Pesca, and truly the people of the Netherlands, know how to do it right. Hats off to this outstanding restaurant. I only wish we had one where I live--I'd be there every day. Actually, it would be dangerous to have Pesca too close...I'd go bankrupt:)

We had originally booked the Damrak 213 location but had to cancel due to a flight delay. Determined to make the most of our short time before heading to Paris the next morning, I chose this location because it was close to the areas we wanted to explore after dinner -- and I'm so glad I did. After reading on their website that they keep tables available for walk-ins at most locations, we decided to try our luck. As soon as my best friend and I walked in, we were not disappointed. The ambiance felt right immediately -- warm, inviting, and full of good energy. There was little to no wait, and the fresh seafood display at the front looked incredible. Vanessa was our lovely server and truly a whole vibe throughout the evening. She, along with "Mr. Champion," gave us great suggestions on where to walk and explore next -- and we absolutely took their advice. I love a menu where you can order and split a little bit of everything with a friend, and every single dish was perfection. The shrimp croquettes, king prawns, asparagus, roasted carrots, and fish and chips (kibbeling) were all served hot, fresh, and packed with flavor at a very reasonable price. The kitchen was run by a Black chef who was clearly putting in serious work and completely understanding the assignment. I wanted to personally commend him, but he was fully locked in and busy creating magic. Even the espresso martini stood out -- easily one of the best I've had. Great, relatable conversations, amazing food, and the evening ended on a sweet note with a complimentary lemon crème brûlée served with sparkles. This spot is truly a neighborhood gem. I'm so glad we chose this location -- it turned a rushed travel day into a memorable night dining with some true champions. We can't wait to return with more time to fully enjoy the experience.

It has somewhat of a gelatinous texture that can be off-putting, but when you take a bite with the sides of sweet pickles and onions, it shines. The Kibbeling was out of this world. Perfectly fried with a crunchy batter that had a hint of, hmmm, curry, maybe. It was amazing. Although the batter was thick and tasty, it didn't outdo the delicious cod.
