I'm from Kansas City and I've had my share of bomb Chinese food. This place was far from bomb, but still, it was pretty decent. Nothing to write home about. Had the shrimp fried rice and it was probably a 3.5 out of 5. Shrimp was a bit overcooked but rice was tasty. Hubby had chicken lo mein. Probably about a 3.5 as well. This was a last resort for my hubby and I at a hotel one weekend. They delivered and came to our room so I didn't have to go to the front desk. Really not trying to be a bitch with the one star. I found this place through GrubHub and it had good reviews on Yelp AND GrubHub so I went for it. I ordered at 5:58 pm and got my food at 7:46. I think that's more than excessive for delivery wait time. So naturally the food was not hot, barely even warm really. I got sweet and sour chicken--really nothing special. I also got the wonton soup because it was popular in reviews. Yuck! It was bland and tasted like it had been out for awhile. Like, ew. My mother-in-law got shrimp lo mein (not even lo mein noodles, they used linguine noodles!! ummmm....wtf?) and she also ordered shrimp and vegetables. there wasn't much to her dish. She said it tasted fine but there was seriously not much veggie composition or anything special to either of her dishes. And the egg rolls are more like spring rolls. Seriously, the fact that it took nearly 2 hours for the food to be delivered was almost enough for me to never order from here again, but the fact that the food fell flat really hammered the nail in the coffin. Will never order from here again! Honestly this place is the bomb dot com and it's my regular go-to for Chinese takeout. Fast, reliable delivery and consistently good food. I pretty much always get the General Tso's or shrimp fried rice and WanFu hasn't steered me wrong yet. The crab puffs are easily my favorite out of any place in Houston and I've had plenty. It really helps that I can count on their delivery guy to know how to get directly to my apartment with no fuss or confusion unlike uber eats which is overwhelmingly more miss than hit. Just order from Wanfu Café based on the great reviews we saw, however it did not meet expectations. We ordered very simple dishes: Beef Lo Mein (Extra Extra Spicy), Mongolian Beef (Extra Extra Spicy), and Fried Chicken Dumpling. The Lo Mein was nothing to rave about and was not spicy as we had requested, the only good thing about the Lo Mein was that it was not oily, so good job on that. The Mongolian Beef tasted like it came out of the microwave and although I had asked for it to be spicy it was not! It did however contain copious amounts of onions which was 2/3 of the container (yes I did separate it and measure). The Dumplings were not bad, they actually tasted like they were made in house and were fresh, Great job! In short its 5 min from the house and is a last place I would stop. I would go back for Dumplings and that's about it. Everything else taste like it came out of a can or box. read more

I ordered the hunan shrimp that comes with fried rice but I wanted shrimp fried rice so I was charged $4.95 and they only give you 4 shrimp for the shrimp fried rice. They have very poor customer service when I called she said how about you ask how many shrimp come with it before you order. Wanted this to be my local go place and it may be still. I got orange chicken, fried rice, egg roll and wonton soup. The price was good for the amount of food. The chicken was good, as was everything else except the fried rice. I make fried rice all the time and with very little effort or cost you can make great fried rice. Shrimp with vegetables. Shrimp is delicious, vegetables are not soft enough. Chewing Chewing celery has great seasoning but uncooked, should be softer. I still love coming here. My friend got soup that looked & smelled delicious. I gave her all my broccoli. There was too much of it. Alof of perfect Shrimp was big & delish. I am a fan of WanFu. They make typical Chinese food and they deliver. I wouldn't say it is 100% authentic, but it is good food. They are also very convenient. My boyfriend and I discovered this place in our neighborhood. The shrimp and broccoli with brown sauce is good. I also like the wonton soup with crunchy chips. I don't eat beef or pork, so I don't eat the actual wonton pieces. I love the broth with chips. I recommend this restaurant if you are in need of a quick meal after work or on a lazy Sunday at home. read more

DON'T DO IT! Food took over an hour to get here. Delivery guy (who barley spoke English) called from the parking lot and I had to listen to him argue with the front counter staff about whether we were on the 2nd or 3rd floor, then he asked me again over the phone! I can't believe I was basically discriminated against because I attempted to pay for my food with a debit card versus cash! I go to buy plain fried rice and when I went to pay for my food with a debit card versus cash, the guy looked at my card and said "Can you pay with cash?" I advised him that if I had cash I would've used that instead of my card. He proceeded to shake his head and not swipe my card. I asked him what the issue was and he said "Cash."
