Everything you'd want in a game/comic store. Plenty of selection, helpful staff (more on that…read morelater), snacks, places to play different games, sensible layout, and a bathroom :) What stands out most however is the staff. So many other stores the staff can be condescending and/or ignore you. They're helpful without being overbearing. I've brought my kids (ages 10 to 4) and without exception the staff has always been kind to them and even occasionally given them free comics and things. On the not as positive, it's a bit dark, but I've never been to a comic or game store that was brightly illuminated, and I'm sure for some that's a positive. It's not so dark that you can't see the products, I just wouldn't mind it a bit brighter. The location is on state and the street is kind of busy, but I've always been able to park in front, I'm not sure what they do when they have events. They do daily events like Magic, Star Wars RPG, mini painting, etc. It's MY game store, and I couldn't be happier.

Later on, when things got hard in our family, he would always take me here to buy new yugioh cards and help me build a deck, so that he could take our minds off of everything. I especially loved that they had a variety of easy, affordable items spread throughout the shop, such as gumball machines for different cards or 3 for $10 deals. If you're just getting started in collecting or vinyl this would be a great first stop and the staff can definitely steer you in the right direction. I stopped by just to peruse and the staff was super friendly and eager to help out, honestly I recommend Platinum for the customer service alone because they were awesome and really know their stuff.

I was really excited to grab Bang! and a couple Ticket to Ride games. You can go in the back and it opens into a giant warehouse size room where you can play their games back there for free. They said it gets really busy on Friday nights but you can call and reserve a table for free. You can rent their games for $5/week, and when returned the money gets transferred to your account for store credit. The guy behind the counter was super friendly which I always appreciate! Anyway, I needed a specific item and Michaels was nearby so I stopped in. The lighting of the store is bright and cheery and the smell of "creativity" is eminent. Whether you are into sewing, paper crafts, wood crafts or jewelry-they have something for you. The store is laid out in sections based on activity-so it's easy to navigate and find what you're looking for. There are not a lot of employees on the floor-everyone I saw was up front. The fall wreaths and faux flowers were plentiful and really pretty color palates. The store seemed well stocked on party supplies, baking supplies and arts & crafts sections. I'm not a fan of being forced to scan my own merchandise and luckily this store lacks in what I went in for so I only had two items. It was broken he missed placed his receipt and couldn't find it so I told him to run into GameStop and tell the guy that he couldn't find the receipt but he bought it on his debit card if they could do a card look up or my son could look up his bank info for him. The guy at the store told him no the most he could do for him was a 7.00 refund when my son paid $40 less than 30 minutes before. This GameStop used to have amazing customer service. It has gone downhill 100%. We obviously won't be buying from this location and I will disputing this purchase on his card. I would be careful, letting a young man do his own purchasing at this location.
