These guys were my bike shop for 6 years. They were the greatest. So friendly and helpful. They were usually able to repair my bike on the same day I brought it in. And they taught me a lot about bikes, too, helping me to grow to organize my life around my bike, for shopping, entertainment and exercise. Located at the old Seneca glass works, we rented bikes here to ride on the Mon trail. Unfortunately the section of trail that runs by their shop was closed for several miles due to power company construction. Nevertheless they loaded up the bikes in a van and drove to an open section for us. $15 for half day of riding, We got Trek bikes, and wonderful friendly service at a WELL outfitted shop. They were very busy and still found time to do all this for us. A definite 5 Stars. read more

I have had my bikes (older Schwinn and recent Fuji I bought used on craigslist) worked on here and have been EXTREMELY PLEASED! They are very very knowledgeable (I'm a newbie to biking/triathlons), willing to answer any questions, have even made minor adjustments for free. Colin usually helps me out, he is awesome and has gone above and beyond to give me tips to help me out on the road or trails. While this is the only bike store in Morgantown, they still have very reasonable prices, great selection of bikes, and awesome staff. It's a perfect place for a new cyclist or a competitive seasoned triathlete. read more

Great service. I broke a spoke in the morning dropped it off in a few hours later they called it was done. I was just down visiting my son was hoping get it fixed on my way back home. They've also given me some great advice for some great local trails there. This is why the independent bicycle shops are so important you can't get this kind of service and support from the big chain. read more

Had a great experience with the staff. I purchased a used bike through private party earlier in the summer, and always had problems with shifting and general rattling in the drive train. My attempts to resolve became futile. After the cable finally started fraying and eventually snapped inside the shifter, i feared the worst ($$). Wamsley had the bike fixed within 48 hrs and for MUCH less than i expected. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable and was happy to share tips on general cycling. Thanks guys read more

I bought my 11 year old grandson his first road bike here this spring and the left shifter was super hard to operate for him. It took three tries but Collin got the bike to where he is now able to shift like a pro. We love biking together and are very fond of Wamsley's for there knowledge and expertise. Yes, 5 stars!!! We were vacationing from Michigan and heard about the rail trails. We are both middle-aged bikers and wanted to bike the trail and see some of Morgantown. We heard about Walmsley and that they were right on the trail so we could rent our bikes right there. It was a busy day when we got there so they didn't have many bikes left, but we did get some. Unfortunately they were not adjusted properly and we could barely pedal them. Even going downhill the wheels would hardly turn without hard pedaling. Plus the trail going to the right that we were advised to take, goes by a very stinky waste water treatment plant and was not a pleasant smelling area. The pavement ended after about 2-1/2 miles so we turned back around to go back to the bike shop to see if they could fix or replace the bikes. However by the time we got back we were exhausted by the hard pedaling and had to end the trip after only 45 minutes. To the stores credit, when we explained what happened, they did not charge us anything for the rentals. If you rent, be sure to test your bike out first and take the trail to the left side. read more

Chip, Colin , Steve and the guys are knowledgeable, give great service but above that you just don't get a great product you get a freindship. Rental!!! This is the only place I could find to rent a bike. Chip Wamsley selected a bike for me and give me info on trails. I rode up the trail to PA and back...about 18 miles on a good Trek rental. Price was inexpensive!! Thank You, Chip!!! read more
