Told him I just bought a bike and was hoping he could take a quick look at the disc brake caliper and give me any advice. He said no, he didn't have time. I explained I wanted to fix it myself if he would just take a glance at the piston to see if it was safe to push back in and he acted like it was the biggest pain in his ass so I promptly left, won't be back, and don't advise your doing so either. Too bad because I was looking to buy a bleed kit, gloves, and small bike bag. I'll just take it to another LBS that has community and return customers in mind. Edit: FYI, I called Speed Vision Bikes about 20min away because I didn't want to drive all the way there and be turned away by a "too cool" shop. The person that answered was incredibly nice, asked me what I was coming for, gave me advice over the phone and I didn't even make need to make the drive. So I can't speak for going into the shop itself, but as far as I'm concerned they're five stars. That's how you be a great LBS. Thanks!

They are very customer focused, there is never a traditional sales pitch, it's all about what YOU need out of your bike. Anything he doesn't have will be delivered in a couple days; I've been able to purchase multiple Yakima bike racks as well as other odds and ends. My wife and I were on a mtb trip in the east coast, and when I asked the guy working there about some local trails he was a total a$$ hole and told me all the trails I was asking about were not real and couldn't give me any recommendations. It stuck with me, he wasn't pleasant, he didn't care to guide me to a dope trail, he just wanted to act like he was the local badass gatekeeper of the terrible trails they have in the area. Thank goodness I'm back in Colorado and would never ever go back to this shop with the attitude and lack of customer service this douche gave my wife and I.

How about quit being cheap and hire some help. Most bike shops I've dealt with in the past I picked the bike up the next day. 9 days is ridiculous. They could build a whole new bike in less than 8 days.
