This museum should be at the top of everyone's bucket list when visiting Pittsburgh! The display is done amazingly "organized" yet chaotic enough to be exciting! There's nothing boring "museum" about Bicycle Heaven, it will entertain all ages, even if you've never ridden a bike in your life! The collection is absolutely massive from the oldest bike ever made to the new modern lightweight bikes. So many purple seats, it'd be fun to try to count them all!! Very cool and unique museum to go to. It has all types of bikes. If you are a BMX fan like me you will be in heaven. I saw Haros and GTs and Dynos and Mongooses. The staff was friendly. This could be a wonderful place but it is packed into such a small area that you cannot really see or appreciate everything that is there. We felt that the $15 fee per person was steep for this type of museum. Hopefully some day they can get a larger area where items can be displayed properly. Beware of the very steep stairs that you need to take to get to the second floor. read more

Blown away, by this place, and found this hidden gem well searching for things to do this past weekend well visiting on my birthday. My boyfriend and I stopped in here this past Friday, and were astounded on scale of bicycle history; dating as far back to the 1800's, to present day. What stood out the most on display: ET bike from the movie, along with the bike from Pee Wee's Big Adventure. Two floors are in this museum, parts galore, bikes for sale, over 6000 in total, and a hidden florescent room, perfect for photo opportunities, and makes you feel like your back in the 60's. Craig the owner, and other staff hospitality answered visitor questions, checked in on us a few times. If you find yourself in the area; stop in, spend some time at the Largest Bike Museums Bonus, they sell and repair bikes as well. read more

Absolutely bonkers. More bicycles than you have ever seen at once. Unique bikes. Historic bikes. One-of-a-kind bikes. Parts for miles. And yes. The actual bicycle from Pee Wee's Big Adventure is here. The massive quantity of bicycles is almost overwhelming and tremendous and incredible. Free museum with free parking, I'm good so far! Easy to find in an industrial area right off the highway. An amazing array of everything bicycle from the seats, horns, tires, helmets, wheels, radios ... in all different parts and styles. Bicycle things everywhere hanging on the walls and the ceilings, just incredible. Two floors of bicycles in a maze of rooms. There were rare bikes, racers, one-of-a-kind, and ones that were used in television or movie sets. I have never seen so many bicycles in one place in my life. Rolling Rock Regional Beer Bike 1952 Era Schwinn. Recently, I purchased a 1952 Schwinn Crusier, Rolling Rock promotional single crank bicycle. I tooled around my neighborhood; this smooth riding bike looks great, its mint condition turned a lot of heads. Craig Morrow did me right, he was very informative on the bike's history. Craig is an interesting and personable person as are all his staff; they make you feel at home. Every trip to Pittsburgh I visit Bicycle Heaven and the Museum for the vast collection of bicycles from all eras, Hollywood, movies, TV, the military, you name it it's there. Craig has stories that go along with the display bikes. Bicycle Heaven has equipment/accessories for any kind of Bicycle you may have as well as scale models of collectible bikes. I've purchased three collectible models and want more, there's a wide variety. This museum is off the beaten path. I found it on Trip Advisor. The worker was ok. He didn't interact much. The place was cool. It had all sorts of makes and styles of bicycles on two floors. They were also on the ceiling. Some were for sale, and some were donated. Admission and parking are free. If you are looking for something different to check out this is the place. This is a bicyclers dream come true! Wall-to-wall, ceiling-to-ceiling, light switch to floor board, is covered in some of the most epic bikes in the history of bikes. TV famous bikes, professional sports bikes, classic original kids bikes, first edition bikes, failed model bikes, just bikes, bikes, BIKES! You can expect two jam packed floors (main museum upstairs) with endless things to look at, read, and experience. Bicycle Heaven is donation based so make sure to have some money in your pocket to share or make sure to purchase come cool bike gear. If you are looking for anything bicycle related, more than likely you can find it here. My sister was looking for retro handle grips with tassels and you betchya she found those here (the tassels were made on the spot, custom colored and all). We went into a small room of bicycle accessories that, I would say had well over 75-100 options for grips. You want colored spokes for your bikes, get them here, maybe you want a banana seat, oh ya count on it, air pump caps, duh, those are here too. My review can't do this unique experience justice. This is something you have to see with your eyes. A young gentleman helped us get our bike accessories and he was out of this world awesome. Free parking in plenty. I visited this museum this past weekend with my boyfriend and parents, and I have to say we were very surprised at how much fun we had! It is donations only, so it technically costs no money to attend, but it is important to remember they are able to keep afloat through donations. There are two floors full of bicycles. Some of the coolest were ones ridden by Pee Wee Sherman and The Monkeys. There were many cool trinkets in addition to all the bicycles and gear. They have shirts for sale as well as actual bikes and parts. It's an incredible visit if you have the chance, we spent about an hour and half looking at everything! read more

You will find $15 bikes there all the way up to bikes valued at over $70,000. There is also the original Happy Days pin ball machine there. The Bicycle Heaven is filled with gems, such as the tandem bicycle the Monkees rode in their series, PeeWee Herman's bike, ET's bike, a WW2 paratrooper's bike, Schwinns, Raleighs, motor bikes, yellow submarine bikes and oodles more. You could spend hours getting lost here and you are pretty much guaranteed to find the bike you rode on as a kid. The owner Craig is very welcoming and will answer any questions that you have. From themed bikes to old wooden bikes, and everything in between. It is literally rows and rows, and many bikes had stories of what they were used for or who owned/made them. This free museum is full of literally tens of thousands of bicycles and parts. The entire museum was well laid out and full of history. Most of the bikes were from the 60s and 70s lots of very unique and rare bikes on display. They had road bikes, BMX bikes, tandem bikes, motorbikes. They specialize in special edition bikes for example smoky in the bandit the A-Team they had Fonzerelli pinball machine the one he played on happy days. We left the donation because the work the owner of this place is doing to keep the history of the bicycle is rad! By the way we ran into the owner on the way out he took our picture. I especially loved the neon black light dance party bike room and the big upstairs room next to it that has a working model train making the rounds on a track 10 feet up and choo-chooing as it goes by. This is the biggest bike museum in the world. And it's FREE!!! Of course they take donations so a few bucks will help keep the lights open. It's 2 floors and on a Friday it was not crowded.
