Great 1 to 1.5 hour activity in Pittsburgh. So many bicycles to see and a great place to take some funky pics!

Blown away, by this place, and found this hidden gem well searching for things to do this past weekend well visiting on my birthday. My boyfriend and I stopped in here this past Friday, and were astounded on scale of bicycle history; dating as far back to the 1800's, to present day. What stood out the most on display: ET bike from the movie, along with the bike from Pee Wee's Big Adventure. Two floors are in this museum, parts galore, bikes for sale, over 6000 in total, and a hidden florescent room, perfect for photo opportunities, and makes you feel like your back in the 60's. Craig the owner, and other staff hospitality answered visitor questions, checked in on us a few times. If you find yourself in the area; stop in, spend some time at the Largest Bike Museums Bonus, they sell and repair bikes as well.

Absolutely bonkers. More bicycles than you have ever seen at once. Unique bikes. Historic bikes. One-of-a-kind bikes. Parts for miles. And yes. The actual bicycle from Pee Wee's Big Adventure is here. The massive quantity of bicycles is almost overwhelming and tremendous and incredible. You could easily spend two hours here perusing the upstairs (don't miss the upstairs!) and all of the ground floor. It's like nothing you've ever seen before.

Such an unexpected and wonderful experience! Highly recommend! Its not just bikes but also so many antiques!

My favorite bike. Brian took the time and used all good amazing craftsmanship to tune it up for me - PERFECTLY!

I wish I could give TEN stars! Once again, Craig & his men came thru for me on a BEAUTIFUL tune-up on my favorite bike to ride! Brian is a BRILLIANT bicycle mechanic, and on top of that he's extremely friendly AND highly professional! Folks...if you haven't been here, you need to make a day trip to see this place! The museum alone is worth the drive from miles around!!

Free museum with free parking, I'm good so far! Easy to find in an industrial area right off the highway. An amazing array of everything bicycle from the seats, horns, tires, helmets, wheels, radios ... in all different parts and styles. Bicycle things everywhere hanging on the walls and the ceilings, just incredible. Two floors of bicycles in a maze of rooms. There were rare bikes, racers, one-of-a-kind, and ones that were used in television or movie sets. I have never seen so many bicycles in one place in my life. They were bicycle repair rooms with walls parts and tools. Refurbished bikes for sale in the parking lot in front.

This museum is off the beaten path. I found it on Trip Advisor. The worker was ok. He didn't interact much. The place was cool. It had all sorts of makes and styles of bicycles on two floors. They were also on the ceiling. Some were for sale, and some were donated. Admission and parking are free. If you are looking for something different to check out this is the place. It doesn't take long to go thru it, but it is worth the visit.

I visited this museum this past weekend with my boyfriend and parents, and I have to say we were very surprised at how much fun we had! It is donations only, so it technically costs no money to attend, but it is important to remember they are able to keep afloat through donations. There are two floors full of bicycles. Some of the coolest were ones ridden by Pee Wee Sherman and The Monkeys. There were many cool trinkets in addition to all the bicycles and gear. They have shirts for sale as well as actual bikes and parts. It's an incredible visit if you have the chance, we spent about an hour and half looking at everything!

"Museum" is a stretch, more like a collection. Used to be free, but now they charge $15 to look around at old bike parts.

Rather than write a long review and clutter the reviews with anymore long reviews (no knock, you guys are great) I'm just gonna get right to the point... This place? Go here wether you ride a bike or not. Maybe buy a bike or parts for your bike. Talk bikes with bike people. Take A LOT of money. Spend A LOT of money. Support local business. Good luck!

This shop would easily get a higher review. They have a good selection of bikes and accessories…read more However, our customer service experience was non-existent. I had called earlier in the day to inquire about cycling helmets. They told me the brand they carried which I initially wasn't interested in but decided to make the 1.5 hour trip to check them out. Upon arrival we were impressed with the selection of bikes but the helmet selection was limited to one brand and sizes were limited as well. As I was looking for a helmet my wife was looking at bikes. A sales person who was initially working with a customer had that customer walk away. At this point my wife said hello and the sales person halfway aknowleged her and walked away ignoring the fact that she may have a question. We decided to shrug this off and continue to look around. We took a stroll to their basement where they have more bikes and did some preliminary sizing for my wife as we are in the market to purchase a new one for her. Then wee made our way back upstairs and back to the helmets. I had decided that I liked one of the helmets but wanted to compare with others they had on display but couldn't find the color or size I needed. After having other employees ignored us I decided it was time to go and internet shop for a helmet. As we were leaving the employee that blew my wife off earlier finally took some interest in us. At this point we had been in the store for at least a half hour. I told him I was looking at their helmets and interested in the Specialized Search helmet they had on display but wanted to compare with other helmets they had. He proceeded to take us to the helmets to show us comparable models one of which was the LOMA. He then walked back to the counter to look and see if they had my size and color I wanted in stock. He then announced that they only had black. Then as I was asking him about the Propero helmet they had on display he turned to help another costomer that had walked in and never acknowledged my question. It's unfortunate that a shop that was recommended to me by a friend fell so short of how highly he and his wife spoke of them.
