The work performed at Walt's tire factor may injure customers. Rims have been known to fall off of vehicles after the shop has completed tire repairs. Also, the owner provides bribes to those customers of which mistakes have been made. Moreover, the owner does not properly fix the damage done to the vehicle due to his shops mistake. Furthermore, Walt's morals, standards for safety, and quality of work are in question. Although, Walt provides a smile, the quality of his work may get you killed, due to the incompetent and technical procedures provided by Walt's' Tire Factory.
Last....................... customer.
Walt asked hey what's going on, I stated we have a problem. The rim fell off the Porche and can you fix the problem, please. The employees immediately began to scramble to their feet grabbing for the torque wrenches. The problem with them grabbing the torque wrench is Walt's Tire factory never uses a torque wrench when installing a rim and tire back on my Porche. It takes too much time. The proof of this is just show up there, and you can see this happen. Also, grabbing the torque wrench is just a ruse to show they did use a torque wrench. I know this because I was maintenance in the Army for ten years, in charge of Quality Assurance Quality control for shops in Iraq for KBR, Honeywell teaching operations and maintenance on Up Armored Humvees, maintenance for Kenan Advantage group (KAG) fuel trucks, and West Coat Automotive. Consequently, I am sure if Walt's Tire Factory were to be investigated and their insurance found out the lug nuts were not properly torqued on automotive rims, they would not cover the damages. Moreover, his insurance rates may become very high. The Porche is still sitting on the road and at this time I took a ride with the employees back to the Porche. My feeling was that Walt should be responsible to get the Porche back to the shop. One of the employees stated to me after trying to put the tire and rim back on," I do not know what you want me to do". At that point, I was getting upset and stated: "Hey you guys messed this up you need to fix it." The car arrived back at the shop, and I told Walt please just fix the damages and we will call it good. The Porche' stayed at Walt's through the next day.
Walt gave me a ride home and tried to give me 50 dollars, I felt as a bribe. I replied, "I don't want your money just fix the damages to my car." The Porche' stayed at Walt's Tire Factory for the day and later I received a call from Walt the repairs are read. I picked up the Porche ready and happy to have some fun. Consequently, I did not make it very far down the road and could tell the rotor was bent. I called Walt and told him I am highly pissed and stated this is the quality of work of your employees. Accordingly, I took the car home and decided to do the work myself. Walt was no longer trusted to accomplish the work with good morals or standards. Also, highly pissed at the employee who was the same one who told me he did not know what to do. Further, upon inspection the rim bolt pattern was chewed up, rim completely scratched and beaten up on the inside. The rim for that Porches is 1200 dollars if you can find one. Consequently, I would no longer go to Walt's'.
Time has passed since the rim came off my Porche and found a leak in a tire of my truck. I naturally took the tire leak to one of Walt's competitors. The competitors could not fix the tire at the time. Pulling out of the parking lot, I thought well, I will give Walt another chance. Time has passed, and my anger has subsided. Showing up at Walt's' tire factory, he thought I was with another customer when I pulled into the parking lot. "I asked if you want my business." I did not have a good feeling about going to Walt's', but thought I would just watch to make sure the tire was put back on the vehicle correctly. Likewise, Walt starts up a conversation and asks if I am ok and starts to lift the truck. I replayed, you do not remember me. I was the guy with the Porche you had to fix because the rim fell off. Walt replied, "No I don't remember that." I was amazed that a business owner did not remember having to order a tow truck and fixing a Porche because of a rim coming off down the road. Consequently, I was starting to get upset with even going back to Walt's. Walt started the repair to state "hey you ok, you act like you don't trust me." I replied. "I do not, that is why I am watching you do the work." read more
