Great service. The staff are friendly and very helpful. They work hard and are thorough.

Good People!! My truck broke down in the parking lot of Stewart's meats with 300 dollars worth of meat I just purchased on a hot day! I phoned Walt's and THE OWNER himself came out to my location to check on the truck , to advise me and then loaded up my potting soil from Gordon's my 300 dollars in meat and drove me home so the truck could get towed to the shop. That IS the kind of stuff that makes a life long customer. I have lived in Roy for only a year so I am not too informed about where to get work done and had The mechanics at Walt's put a new carbonator and fuse box in the truck awhile back. They were kind, fair and excited to do the work. They kept me informed and I feel the value i received was very fair and the work completed was solid too. I cannot thank you enough . I am grateful and humbled read more

Walt's Point S - Walt's point S has been amazing for this old truck!! - Tires Near Me - Yelm, Washington

Priced reasonable. Experts at their craft. Good dudes. Chuck, Rocky, Jeremy, Jimmy, Tyler are great mechanics and just good people who care about their work. Chuck is on another level master technician, that 60 yr old man needs a raise! Lance is a douche. Straight up. That guy would be written up if I was the shop owner. Just bad for business hence the 4/5 rating. I recommend you stay away from that dude. read more

I'd never been here before but was planning to set up an oil change (so not a loyal customer-yet). Called in on a Saturday as I was driving home and my battery gauge started dropping precipitously. I knew they do basic repairs, so instead of driving home and having my truck stuck there, I phoned at about an hour before close. The gal that answered the phone told me there were no mechanics on staff that day but they could check my battery and alternator, then give me a jump if need be. It was the alternator and I left my truck there over the weekend, they squeezed me in on Monday and my truck was ready to go at 10am! All the staff members were friendly, professional, and accommodating. I left a nice tip for "the guys" because the repair was surprisingly affordable. This will be my go to place from now on. read more

Let's be honest... It's not the fanciest looking auto shop with a luxurious waiting room. But they are fairly priced, communicate well, and most important to me.... They are respectful to their female customers unlike most other auto shops and repair centers that I have visited. We will for sure continue our patronage.. read more

These guys are awesome! They don't do any "extra" work that wasn't requested just to jack up the bill! I went to a new place a friend who had a better experience. I'll never stray from Walts again. Unfortunately it wasn't an inexpensive lesson!! Thanx guys! One quiche coming up read more

I was charged 720.00 dollars for parts i didnt get and labor to put them on. I had to take my car back into them and get what i paid for. New bearings and cv axle. And apparently they still didn't get it right cause my tire almost fell off the axle. They are incompetent under new management. read more

New owners! Just want to bring awareness that Walt's Point S is not what it used to be. Brought my car in for new tires that I bought through them. PSI was all different ranging from 24-53psi... already knowing something was off. Driving into town morning after doing 60mph it's shaking, psi still off, doesn't feel right we all know our vehicles. I bring it in a second time letting them know the shaking problem and some air needs to be let out. An hour later I'm sent on my way with the owners truck because they did wrong and wanted to cover themselves. My tires were put on backwards, and clearly PSI not being checked before sending me out. After admitting to me a new "technician" put my tires on and no one checked them they tried telling me it wasn't a safety issue... just want this small town to be aware the quality is not what it used to be. Why are they hiring people to put tires on with no experience, not being sure of their work, let alone taking the blame for a crappy job. Tried to cover themselves with a free oil change as if I'll ever be back. read more

I don't know where to begin in regard to Walt's. When you buy tires at Walt's, then you will receive free services for the life of the tires. We have had tire checks, rotations, and inspections performed with never so much as a question. Last month one of the employees even took the time to drive our car around town for a bit to determine whether or not the tires were gripping the road well. The owner of Walt's has helped us with tire emergencies, too. We once needed tires on the fly for what was not a great deal of money, and he managed to scrape up an excellent set of used tires that had miles and miles left on them. We were able to have these rotated for free as well. And when our car has needed automotive repairs it has been the owner of Walt's who has directed us to the right places. This particular mechanics he has recommended have performed work on our car for less than the more popular places in our area, and the work has lasted. In fact, the owner had information about just about every automotive business in the area, and he has not been wrong yet. We trust his judgment, and we have been treated well by the staff every time that we've needed help. There may be large chains in our area and larger and more popular garages, but we try to use Walt's for every service that can be performed there. The work is insured, and I don't have to worry about being taken advantage of. read more

This is one of the few places I would give 5 stars without hesitation. In an effort to fully disclose my entire experience, I will say that upon our first visit we had concerns. My daughter had some work done on her car, one wheel had not been properly installed, it was nearly disastrous Of course we were upset, this needed to be addressed. After speaking with Walt himself, it was clear that this was an oversight and he was clearly prepared to fix the situation. That was three years ago. Since that time we have always called Walts and been supremely satisfied with their level of quality and customer service. There are a couple other places in Yelm, I don't have any issues with those guys, I just really like supporting the local businesses. read more

I loved this place. I chose it based on the great reviews on yelp and I wasnt disappointed. Everything was great. The people were friendly and very transparent as far as prices and actual service. I had my back two tires replaced. The wait time was very short and they have a super comfortable waiting area and both times I went they had the TV on HGTV which is freaking love!! So all-in-all I love this place and recommend it to so many who are looking for a great tire shop. read more

This is the best tire shop! Friendly, helpful and explain evertything. First time I ever enjoyed getting tires. I stopped in a couple times needing my vehicle checked before a trip and they were so kind that I decided this would be where I finally purchased my tires. Prices are great too! read more

The people at Walt's were so kind and helpful to me a this week. I am amidst moving, relying heavily on my truck right now, but it started driving oddly and I feared serious front end issues. Other mechanics were too booked too look and suggested Walt's in Yelm. I got there near the end of a work day and I could see they were busy and yet they showed compassion and checked out my car (and thankfully saw no immediately issues and offered advice about what else I could watch for on my own). Their kindness made a world of difference to me. Thank you Walt's mechanics! read more

I've been going here since the day I could drive. In high school I was doing sine stupid stuff and popped my tire. He fixed for free. They're always so nice. If I'm in the area and need something with my car I always run to these guys. They're wonderful. read more

Very nice and helpful staff! They replaced our two blown out trailer tires within 10 minutes, had the nicest bathroom of any auto shop I've ever seen, gave our son a camo hat, and gave our very hot dog some water. Amazing! read more

These guys were Awesome! I pulled into Walt's 30 minutes before closing on a Friday evening with a flat tire in my trunk. They checked the flat tire (it had a hole in the sidewall) and when it couldn't be repaired set me up with a used tire for less than $50 including tax. The replacement tire was mounted and I was on my way less than 20 minutes after arriving. They were friendly, professional and amazingly helpful. I'm going to be needing 4 new tires before this coming winter and after today I wouldn't consider going anywhere but Walt's. Thanks guys! read more

Got a flat on my tractor. Was worried about finding a spare without waiting. Walt's said bring it over. Said they could see about a tube, but after showing me the inside, said it was better to replace it. Was worried, but said the next day before noon and picked it at 1030. Polite and prompt. Wow, customer service. Will be back. read more

This business just lost my business. I found several quotes online for a tire they carry. The best they were willing to do was quote me the price in the computer that was about 15 dollars more per tire than the best prices I found elswhere for the identical item. They refused to even consider matching the price. I walked out and won't be back. I ended up buying a full set of tires at a business in Lacey that WAS willing to earn my business by being competitive on price. I don't want to do business with someone who won't do what it takes to keep by patronage. read more

The owner's are the nicest, most honest people who go above and beyond in customer service and quality tires. Very personal service.

I would recommend taking your vehicle to Walt's! They are extremely helpful, knowledgeable and reasonably priced. After receiving a outrageously high quote from Les Schwab, we were recommend to call Walt's by a few friends. My husband called to check on pricing and was pleasantly surprised when they told him it would be around $300 less than we were just quoted from Les Schwab! From the moment you walk into the family business you are greeted with a warm smile that makes you feel right at home. Walt took the time to explain the in's and out's of what they were doing and the different types of tires they had. I really appreciate the honest and fair treatment we received at Walt's and will be a forever customer! read more

Amazing service! Got my new tires on about 5k miles ago and has been fantastic. Super speedy and awesome staff. Today, popped in for a slow leak in a tire. I do love Walt's Tire! They are so kind! Today I went in think a mount/balance was $10 a tire (I know, its the ADD), but it was $17.50 (best deal in town), and when I heard the price in almost had a heart attack it was almost twice what I budgeted for! So taking pity on me they gave me a discount and I did pay a little more then I planned but it was do-able. Thanks Paul and the whole Walt's Tire crew! You guys are awesome! read more

Having expensive cars like Mercedes, Maserati, Escalades..etc i really need people can trust even more so as to treat me right and not charge me for things I don't need. These people are as honest as the day is long and absolutely true servants to their clients.
