I opened this Yelp! page for Doug's shop because of the work and service that he has done for us…read moreover the past year. I could not be happier that Doug opened up a repair shop near us. I own a 2001 Hyndai Elantra that is in excellent shape. A good portion of the reason it runs so well is because of Doug. He has done some major engine work on my car, and on my son's Sephia. In fact, my son's Sephia needed a new engine; Doug worked within a network of used parts on the west coast and found us a major steal on the replacement. Better, he took the time to road-test the car, and he gave free adjustments to his work -- he guarantees all of his work. He changed the timing belt on my car, and when he did, he made other adjustments that helped the car idle at a better rpm. My 12 year-old car now is getting 29.2 miles to the gallon because of his adjustments. I like that! The reason that I will keep Doug as my main mechanic is because he is a, well, geek, through and through. I would refer to Doug as a gearhead, but the title would be limiting. I think of him as a geek as the ultimate compliment, because I have never met someone who is so intent on working on a car and fixing it. He also keeps the old pieces that he has replaced, and he explains the damage on them, so he operates with integrity. Frankly, we're lucky to have him as our mechanic. P.S. I have no idea why the location sticker is putting Doug on First Street in Yelm, when the address is out of town. Please ignore the address sticker. Use Google maps.

Five stars for service - although price is 3x what others cost. When my brakes went out down the…read morestreet they were the closest, so I pulled my car into the lot. They topped me off with brake fluid but I still had air in the lines which also had a huge leak (brake lines had rusted through and crumbled). The staff were very friendly and helpful, and pulled my van into the covered area overnight which was great because I had some holes in the roof and the van was FULL of stuff and it was about to rain. It turns out the brake lines were discontinued so they would have to custom make them. The price they quoted me was 3x what Scott's One Stop charged me to custom make the lines, and seeing as how I literally did not have the cash in the bank I had to go with the cheaper option. If I had the excess cash I would have just left it at Brown's to take care of. So for me, price was the ONLY reason I took it somewhere else for repairs after they did the inspection. The service was A++!

I do not consider this place an ideal shop to repair Jeep or any Dodge, Chrysler products because…read morethey have no idea how to repair 3.6 v6 Pentastar engine. Paid over $900 in repairs and vehicle runs worst than it came in and diagnosed numerous other thing they said needed to be replaced on a 2013 Jeep, was only told to replace spark plugs because #2 cylinder misfire, but used cheap spark plugs. Just not happy with results at all and didn't reset check engine light. Now the same day it started ticking and was told the transmission and transfer case was going bad. This business needs to closed down.
