Then after purchasing $100 worth, I asked the lady behind the counter if they had something in stock. I was told they had it but couldn't find it. Her response, "I can go back there and look in the cooler the same as you can" SERIOUSLY?! As tough as companies have it right now, treating people like that when there are thousands of other stores to go to, not a great idea! Save your time and go somewhere else!

The cashier asked the owner sitting down at their little bar and the owner asked the man in front of me what he does with his liquor he was purchasing an Said "People who trade whiskey PISS him off." With other customers in the raggedy joint. The customer looked pissed but let it go an answered the old guys question. He said "I buy it for my Father, politely." I saw the customers plates leaving the store and he's a Veteran. My Guess is the owner doesn't mind fueling peoples alcohol addiction, but has a moral ground on traders. Glad he didn't ask me what I do with my liquor and he didn't catch the cauliflower eared Veteran on a bad day!

Conveniently located near a ton of Oakbrook subdivisions, this place is perfect for items that don't really require a trip to the grocery store. I always hate going to Super Kroger to grab bread and milk because they are on opposite sides of the mammoth store, making the trip much longer than it really needs to be. Village Market is only a few months old, so it's very clean and well stocked. There's also a liquor store next door if you need to pick up some wine or whisky. This place is probably just a three store joint, but because it saves me the headache of going to a big box grocery store, I'll give it an extra star.
