Don't judge this place by its storefront. It's not the fanciest salon from the outside, or even the inside, but sometimes it's the service that matters most. I booked the Lux Pedicure to treat myself for my birthday, and it absolutely delivered. The service lasted about an hour, and between the massage chair and what felt like multiple leg and foot massages throughout the pedicure, I left feeling refreshed and relaxed. Exactly what I was hoping for. Ashley was my nail tech (so she already got points for a great name and spelling it right lol), and she was wonderful, friendly, attentive, and did a great job. I had an appointment, and they took me right on time, which I appreciated. I'd heard from others that waits can happen, but that wasn't my experience, so I can only speak to the excellent service I received. I wasn't offered a drink (not sure if that's something they typically do), but I had my coffee with me, so it wasn't a big deal. If you're looking for a spa-like, champagne-and-chandeliers experience, this probably isn't it. But if you're looking for a quality pedicure with great massage time, friendly service, and a relaxing hour, I'd definitely recommend it. I'd happily come back the next time I'm in the area! read more

If I could give this place a negative zero I would the owner is so dam rude. She very unprofessional and think she can treat people the way she does. Go somewhere else if you can, I went the last time for a refill and she had a nerve to say oh you need to take the whole set off and get a new set of nails. I say excuse me then why not say this when I booked the appointment I said refill for my acrylic nails. why you waited for the nail tech to start the removal process to say something? I just had the man remove my nails and walked out I was not give that person my money. Found a better place in Wellesley RUN GO ELSEWHERE read more

A simple French set and they couldn't get it right!! My nails looked like a child did them!

Tiffany takes her time with your nails but she always makes them perfect! They are so organized and efficient here.

They're very good at what they do. I am always so impressed after my appointments. I've never had so many pedicures in my life, but I just have to come back. read more

I've been going to Waltham Nails & Spa for years and they've always done an amazing job. Lee used to do my acrylics when I got them and always did an amazing job. Today, I saw Tracy for the first time and was going to get my normal gel - after chatting with her about my job as a bartender, she suggested I try dip since they can be more durable especially with me constantly washing my hands. She made sure I was completely happy and comfortable with the final product since it was my first time with dip. Would highly recommend coming here for great service and people !! read more

Man i am disappointed. I keep giving this place chances and it's not getting any better. They rush through everything. Its not a relaxing experience and they dont even give you a good massage for the pedicure. Maybe i keep getting bad nail tech but its time to find a new place. I dont mind spending moneyif its worth it and this isnt. read more

I've been coming here for a few years now, I may have written a review back then? Anyway, they consistently do a great job with my nails. I have been doing dip nails for a couple of years now, as it's the only thing I've found that prevents me from nervously picking my cuticles so bad that they bleed - a way my anxiety manifests that has been difficult to control. They have SO MANY colors to choose from, and the finished product is great. The salon is very clean and they use cleaned/sterilized equipment for each customer. I love that I can make an appointment online ahead of time on my day off. You have to try this nail salon! read more

It's like I have brand-new feet! I hadn't gotten a pedicure in ages. I walk barefoot all the time, including outside, and my feet show it. The technician who worked on my feet scrubbed the crap out of them. She also did an excellent job applying the nail polish. My feet now look perfect =) read more

Got gel nails done, it was done really fast (in and out in 30 minutes) but wasn't really impressed with the work. I didn't get the name of the tech (we sat at the first table by the register and is left-handed) but she didn't fully paint my nail (I can see my actual nail on the sides of most nails) and the edges weren't clean/straight and then she put way too much top coat that my nails bulge unevenly, esp my pinky nail which looks misshaped and curvy lol I tried to take pictures to show the curvature but I know it's not my nail shape bc I've had gel nails done for the last 5 years and I've never seen my pinky look so weird. From far away it doesn't look terrible but I'm definitely picky about the basics like painting edge to edge and having a even edge.. Also, this isn't a huge deal breaker for me bc I've gone to other salons where they don't even have an autoclave, but the technician took tools out of an unsealed pouch (aka no fold on the pouch on the ends as it was never sealed and when she pulled it out of her drawer, there was no sound/motion of her pulling the tabs apart which is how you open pouches after sterilization on the other end) so not sure why they bother, felt a little sketchy. Read another review before mentioning another autoclave incident so I don't think this was a one-time thing so just FYI if you're big on sterilized, autoclave tools only. Not sure if I'll be back but probably only with different technician ‍ read more

I have made Waltham nail and spa my new nail location. They have always been kind and helpful when I have gone in.

I've been getting my " acrylic fill" on my nails for over 20 years now, and it's very hard to find someone who knows how to do acrylic nails well. I found someone at Waltham Nails and Spa that I would recommend highly . I was looking for a new place to go and living in Waltham , there are many nail salons. From the time that I called to make the appointment and when I arrived until I left, was a wonderful, relaxing experience . Tammy took care of my toes and nails and did an exceptional job! I highly recommend ! read more

This is the WORST place I've ever done my nails yet I've been doing nails for the last 10 years . They only care about how many more customers they can get money from. The owner convinced me to do dip in because it's quicker so she could work on other customers. My nails looked bent and started to break after two days. I highly doubt not recommend!! read more

Went with a friend both for a dip manicure. It was pretty busy but we had an appointment. They have a good selection of colors. I was disappointed though that the cuticles were not done and none of my hang nails were taken off. It's something I look forward to when getting my nails done. I originally thought it was just the service that I asked for, but my friend who got the same manicure got her cuticles cut and hangnails trimmed as part of her base service. The overall quality of the polish is really good, just disappointed our care was not consistent for both my friend and I. read more

Solid nail salon! I don't often get my nails done but whenever I did, I use to be very loyal to another salon until they changed management and it didn't feel the same anymore. I was in the mood and wanted to treat myself so I checked yelp for the closest location to me at the time, and literally just did Russian roulette with the nail salons in the area. There are as many as 20 salons within 5 miles in the Waltham area and I'm glad I picked this one! The area of Waltham and the salon is like night and day. So don't judge a book by its cover. It is really nice inside. I love the interior design and they make it work with the small space they have. The best part is parking! It can be a bit tight but it is a plus! I went with the basic gel manicure and classic pedicure. If I wasn't on a time crunch, I would have been interested in doing the signature pedicure next time. They take walk ins and I appreciated that they saw me so quickly but they are so busy, I do recommend to make an appointment in case. Love my nails. Went in around 3:30pm and got out around 4:20pm. Even thought it was busy the nail technician took her time to make sure my nails looked perfect. I never felt rushed. Can't wait to go back again. read more

Okay I've been hesitant about writing about my experience with Waltham Nails. I feel like we all want to find our NAIL person, in a nice shop with a nice ambiance. This is my second time coming and the ladies are so sweet and gentle. I hate being cut by those buffer things or having my fingernails hurt the next day (yeah some pretty bad experiences to be honest). But I found my person- and you'll have to forgive me for wanting to keep her as my secret. But this place is exactly what I've been looking for read more

Although the service was good ( only good), the price is not worth the quality. Really really expensive for basic work.

I just moved to Waltham and needed to find a nail salon. A friend in my complex recommended Waltham Nails and Spa, so I made an appointment. My appointment was at 4:30 for a regular manicure. When I walked in at like 4:25, I was astonished by the amount of options for polish and the dip powder! I was interested in talking to my technician about possibly trying the dip powder in the future(since my appointment was only for a regular manicure.) When I arrived, they told me to pick a polish and they'd be with me soon. At 4:45, I was still waiting and was beginning to feel frustrated. A woman came in who had a 4:45 appointment. At 4:50, an employee invited me to sit down at a pedicure station while I was waiting. I had been standing the whole time because another woman was on the one chair and nobody had really acknowledged my presence aside from when I checked in. At 4:55, the woman who had a 4:45 appointment was taken for her manicure. By this point, I decided that I was going to leave. I told the woman who had checked me in and she said that it was because the client before me showed up late and the woman with the appointment after me had requested a specific technician, so that's why she got to go first. I was a new client so I obviously didn't request anyone since I didn't know anyone. She apologized, but she mainly blamed it on the client who was late who was scheduled before me. I understand that people can be late, but I expected the salon to be more apologetic or offer to book me an appointment for another time or even offer a discount off of a service in the future, but they didn't do any of that. When you make an appointment at this salon and then confirm it, you get a text saying to please be respectful of your technician's time and to call if you need to cancel. When I came in for my appointment on time, nobody told me that I'd be waiting for a while because they were behind. If I'm respectful of my technician's time, I expect my technician to be respectful of my time too. I'm sure other people have amazing experiences here! Their variety of polishes and powders truly seemed incredible, I just wish I had a better experience. read more

They do a pretty good job at SNS dip powder. The manicure service could improve to make it a more relaxing experience . The parafilm is offered at an extra charge where in other places it's included on the manicure service. I went with the parafilm and it was left a for a few minutes while my toe nails dried but the tech forgot to take it out and didn't finish off the manicure the way I expected to be by adding a bit of lotion and doing a quick little massage... just a suggestion. Every woman loves to be pampered and doing a quick little hand massage would have been nice. Overall great service! The gentleman in charge of the appointments made every effort to get walk-ins settled in. read more

I went to this salon for a pedicure. My pedicure was done by Emily who was lovely and did a wonderful job. The salon was clean though they did not do temperature checks or ask any covid-related questions unlike some of the other salons I've been to. They did, however, clean and sanitize the areas between customers. Many of the nail polishes I had to select from were old and clearly dried up which was a slight disappointment. The owner/manager was an intimidating woman who gave me a hard time because she preferred cash payment. The whole checkout process was a complete debacle because she was so against her customers paying with credit card (because she'd likely have a small fee charged for credit card transactions I presume). This may be standard of all businesses yet I've never had anyone give me as hard of a time as she did. I don't walk around with $40 of cash on me, nor do I know many people who do these days, and she was so particular and turned this into a huge, unnecessary scene. She needs to prioritize the convenience of her customers over the inconvenience of her credit card transaction fees. read more

I am in the city on assignment. I get dip nails regularly. Hannah is awesome! She gives you what you ask for with a great attitude. My job is very hands on and hard on my nails. Because of this I prefer my dip thicker to avoid chips and cracks. Hannah delivers. She shapes my nails beautifully. She really takes pride in her manicures. She never rushes. My nails always turn out gorgeous. It's nice that you can book online and request your nail tech in the comments section. Everyone there is so friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Super lovely staff offering a good range of services. It is a very small salon and I realize just how spoiled I am with my salon back home! I visited here during a business trip and (for example) was hoping for massage chairs, but there were none. I found the service to be average, and inside the salon it was incredibly warm... the wall temperature said it was 74°! Note that if you pay by credit card they do charge a $2 fee. They claim you get a "discount" for paying with cash, but really you're paying the full amount advertised. I think I would try another salon if I was looking for one next time I'm in the area. read more

I was a walk-in and received service immediately. I got the next generation dipping powder and color. The service was done within an hour and the nail tech was fast. The entire service cost $45, which is comparable to the local area. The only thing that I felt was a negative was upon completion of the service I had to request to wash my hands. Washing your hands is a given after any nail service. The facility was nice and clean. Parking is on the side of the street. read more

This nail salon stands out from the moment they answer the phone. You'll typically be greeted by one of the owners, Tran, who goes above and beyond to personalize your experience. He makes sure you know their location and that they have parking in the back. He calls everyone by their name and while they've gotten super busy, they are very accommodating. I've now been here three times and have always left satisfied. Everything is super clean at a very reasonable price. I've found my new nail home! read more

Had an appointment for a classic manicure. Showed up 5 minutes early to pick my color. There were about 5 people waiting when I got there. Not the biggest shop and it was drab inside. A woman who I am assuming was the salon manager and/or owner tried to up-sell me on a soft gel or dip manicure while waiting. (Been there, done that. The removal for both really messes up natural nails, so I don't do them unless I'm traveling.) This salon clearly overbooks and/or takes walk-ins in addition to not scheduling enough staff. While I was waiting, the manager laid down a towel at the checkout counter and started to do someone's nails there. People who walked in without appointments requesting more expensive services were taken before me. After 50 minutes of waiting, I walked out. Definitely do not recommend. read more

Honestly I am extraordinarily picky about how my nails are done and how they turn out and this place is probably one of the best bets in all of the greater Boston area. I seldom take the time to write a review but this warrants one. The technician was so incredibly particular, very neat and did such a thorough job that almost 4 weeks later, my gel is still not lifting from a single finger nail. Usually by this time I'm used to the gels peeling off or lifting off at the bottom but this might be my longest lasting manicure of all times. My sister also got a pedicure and said it was probably one of the best pedicures of her life. Great spot, definitely would come again read more

Great SNS dip powder mani from Jaysie today. The place is small and can get crowded easily but they do a good job with the space they have. I'm willing to bet they did not build the plaza they're in... Wide selection of colors and the quality of the work is great. Prices are reasonable too. Will definitely be going back. I was really looking forward to giving Waltham Nails a try- great hours and super convenient (parking in waltham? whaat). I made a 9:30a appt in advance and confirmed- received text asking me to "respect [their] time" and let them know if I need to cancel but zero respect was shown for my time when it was 9:45a and the door was still locked. And I can understand running late but you people were actually in there just ignoring the door.. Edited to add: Nice story bro. You're implying I don't know how doors work instead of owning you (or your staff) made a mistake. I arrived 15mins early and was parked directly in front until 9:45 and no one ever unlocked the door or fully raised the blinds. Save the patronizing bs. read more

I've never been a huge fan of pedicures, but this one was terrible. The woman ripped open my toe with her Emory board and then kept going and kept putting products on my open wound. The nails don't even look very good. I regret going here. Update: I contacted the salon and they did give me a refund for the pedicure. Updating this to 2 stars but I still will not be returning. read more

I hate feeling like I need to write this review, but I had a rough and painful manicure at this salon yesterday. The technician used a drill / drill head to do my ... cuticles? He left me with 4 cuticles that were bleeding and today they are scabbed over. It will take weeks if not months for my fingers to recover. The dip itself was so spotty. The color didn't cover my entire nail, and he filed the tips so they were missing color at the tips. I will name that the salon didn't end up charging me for this manicure, which was fair, however, I truly feel that this technician is dangerous and should not be providing services. read more

Love this place. The only reason they get 4 stars and not 5 is because it has bench chairs for pedicures and the place is so busy, it's really not relaxing to have my nails done. UPDATE: I went back and the owner herself tried to use unsteriled tools on me. Seems as though they don't even soak the tools- just rebar them. Ask to check the bag before they open them. read more

My sister and I went and got our nails done here, my sisters nails came out good but they were cut so low. The person who did my nails cut the sh*t out of My cuticles on my hands and feet. One toe and nail ended up bleeding. This was the roughest mani and pedi I have ever had. read more
