The woman at the front (I can't recall her name), who I believe is the salon manager, was incredibly friendly and asked what I had in mind design-wise. I showed her a couple of pics, and she set me up with Hannah as my nail tech. Hannah was meticulous in both the application and design. Was heading on a beach vacation and I decided to get hard gel overlay since it says it lasts up to 4 weeks. Now I was in the water and applying sunblock but the new manicure set lasted 5 days before they started to peel off. I will say they looked nice when done. I'm not sure if the short lived manicure was due to swimming but I was very bummed that it happened still during my vacation. an update to my last review because the owner commented untrue information and I was finally able to connect with her over the phone. I did NOT book gel x tips and confirmed this over the phone and at the start of my appointment, I did ask multiple times before the appointment about the use of gel with chrome, my mother was not offered free tip extensions she paid full price and we were only offered $20 off for the chrome, I was also not shown what the chrome basecoat color would look like only the end product with the chrome so no I did not get the opportunity to choose the nail color. I also called to follow up and the owner was incredibly condescending and said if I had a gel allergy I shouldn't even be in a nail salon, called my mother a bad mom for bringing me to a nail salon with an allergy and then said my allergy must not be bad enough because I did not go to the hospital (which I didn't because I consulted my doctor and unfortunately there is nothing a hospital can do). She then told me she would not refund me and if I was really upset I should sue her. read more

UPDATED REVIEW - This is my first time leaving a bad review on yelp and am disappointed to see the owner's reply below. The shop seems to be a popular nail salon in the neighbourhood. However, if they cannot take the ownership of their work, maybe that's why they fail to deliver consistency. Comments such as blaming customers for being "very indecisive" or attributing the cut to my eczema (eczema looks very different from the wound by the way) or even saying things like "there wasn't any other way to make you happy" so that they just decided to ignore customers emails. I especially want to clarify that owner tried to falsely accuse my husband of screaming over the phone. We initially did make an online appointment and showed up a month early. We called back and asked the receptionist to reschedule. However, when we called back a day before the rescheduled date, they told us that we were not on. They also denied that we even spoke with the receptionist about rescheduling a month ago. Since a month had gone by, my husband reminded them on the phone of the rescheduling. It's by no means screaming. ---------------------------------------------------- I had a gel manicure here before and had a great experience. The salon was clean and relaxing. I was really excited to have the second appointment and this time I had a gel manicure plus pedicure SPA, however, this time was poorly done and the salon was not as clean. The technician was very friendly, however, she was rushing through the whole session. A couple of my nails were cut too short and one nail bed was injured during trimming. Luckily it did not bleed. The skin around my right thumb was also cut too deep. Two days after the treatment, one nail already chipped. I emailed them and never received a reply. I called as I was getting off of the Pike in the hopes they had a random opening. The receptionist was super nice and booked me right away. I just wanted a simple manicure, no bells or whistles. Trisha was professional and did a good job. I am never comfortable in places like this but I was priming for an 'official' manicure for a wedding in three weeks. Everyone was nice but most of the technicians did not engage in easy conversation. I have never gotten a pedicure before, and I have anxiety, so I was very nervous about getting a pedicure, but I wanted to do it before I went on vacation. I'd never been here before, and I was very impressed. Everyone was really kind and well spoken and explained the process to my anxiety-ridden self. This place was super clean, it did take about an hour and a half to do my pedicure and a gel manicure, but she did an amazing job, really paid attention to detail, and I feel like this will last a good, long time. A new nail place that just opened last week (Nov. 2018). It's a pretty large space - very clean and bright. When I went on Saturday, there were 6-7 technicians and they were all busy. The have a pretty wide range of colors to pick from and I think prices are pretty reasonable ($30 for gel manicure and I was able to get 25% off for Grand Opening). The lady who did my nails were friendly, but not overly chatty - overall good experience! Deducting one star as they don't have any of the OPI/Essie gel colors painted so it was a little difficult to pick out a color by just looking at the outside of the bottle. Hope that they can paint the colors soon!! Another minor thing is that the chairs they had were way too tall for the height of the table, and they were not adjustable... so I sat pretty uncomfortably and suffered a little bit... read more
