I started waxing my brows at the age of 13, and after years and years of follicle damage I stopped getting ANY work on my brows for the past few years and still had to fill them in with tinted brow gel and pencil. They are naturally asymmetrical and I am so nervous to let anyone touch my brows. A good friend took me in just to sit by as she got HER brows threaded and tinted, and just witnessing my friend's beautiful brows and how friendly and talented Renu is, I decided to give it a shot after more than 2 years. Maria is awesome! I stumbled on Neeta's while picking up my lunch on Moody Street one day. I made an appointment for the following Saturday for just a haircut. I ended up getting my roots done also at my appointment. Maria did a fantastic job! She not only did a great job on my color, she did a great job on my cut and best of all, she kills it with the blow dryer! It's so hard to find a salon that can blow dry your hair and have it shiny and bouncy when they're done these days. I went into so many salons prior to have my hair washed and blow dried only to be disappointed. Most salon, if not all, wants to blow dry your hair then run a straightening iron through it to get rid of the flyaway. However, by doing that, you end up losing the body & bounce. I had a facial with Dhara last week and I couldn't be happier. From the time I booked my appointment , cancelled it, rescheduled it ,the staff was so accommodating. The salon is super clean, feels fresh and has a soothing feeling. I was taken in to the room almost immediately and given a clean robe to get into. Dhara was gentle yet so effective. The facial was so relaxing. She knew what was good for my skin and went ahead with the dermatologica facial. The massage which followed the facial was out of the world. The best facial Ive had in these 5 years in Boston. Felt so relaxed and my skin felt so good. I also got a head massage which was equally good. I've been getting my brows threaded at multiple other different places over the past six years, and never have I had a worst experience or results than I did my first and last time at Neeta's. My brows are uneven, overly thin, and the arch is so unnatural, high, dramatic, and completely in the wrong place. A chunk was basically taken out of my arch. I asked just for a cleanup, but the entire shape was changed for the worse. I've been crying since I got my brows done. I wish masks covered our upper face so I could hide this mess. It would be one thing if the staff had been friendly and had just made a mistake, but they were incredibly, ridiculously rude the entire time. I should've seen it as a sign and left immediately, but I didn't. Don't make my mistake. I would give zero stars if I could read more

I recently came across this place and I really like going to Neeta's for my waxing needs. I book my appointments with Renu and she is super thorough with the waxing. I am super picky about such services and I am more than happy to recommend Renu. The wax that they apply is through a roll on and I have never seen something like that. What distinguishes her facials from most others is her genuine interest in understanding your skin. Doing the research for the next time you are there, her passion far supercedes her products. I have been here a few times for eyebrow threading and upper lip waxing. I like the attention to detail given to eyebrow threading, and the quality of wax they use for upper lip is really good. I am yet to find a perfect threading place despite being in Waltham for over a year now! After visiting few salons in Cambridge, recently I decided to try the threading salons near moody street. The first time at Neeta was good experience, she did the eyebrow as I wanted (almost pain free)! Alas, second time I wasn't that lucky ! The salon lady burst open a pimple in my forehead and later on caused a small cut on my eyelid as well . I'm African American with curly hair and recently moved to Boston from Seattle. Before going to Neeta's, it had been over a year since my last hair cut. Finding someone I can trust with my hair is incredible hard. Neeta caught my attention and introduced me to one of her stylist Maria. I then had a consult with Maria about cutting my hair and she understood exactly what I wanted. She also knew exactly what to do. A few days later I had my apportionment. I am incredible happy with my cut. She also gave me a beautiful blow-dry, which people often struggle to do with my hair. (Hair stylist often awesome my hair is hard to straighten thus want to charge me more and/or assume you can only straighten my hair with a flat iron.) Maria knew how to blow-dry my hair with a round brush so it has curls and volume. It even last for several days after traveling for more than 30 hours. I've been back to Neeta's twice now to have my hair done by Maria. She's amazing and I'll continue to see Maria even if I move out of Waltham. She is worth the drive. read more

Can only speak for the nail service ea. Purchased a Groupon for shellac manicure and regular pedicure. The polish selections (regular and shellac) were poor so I ended up doing a regular color, not shellac. The pedicures are done in a back room with a plastic basin for your feet and an office chair. Very uncomfortable. The manicure was fine, but I paid for the shellac and couldn't get it because of the color selection. The nail tech was nice, but this was not a relaxing experience and not worth going again. read more

I had a Groupon for a classic mani pedi with Renu. She was very friendly and personable and the place was empty when I arrived although several people showed up later. I was in a rush for another appointment so I didn't wait long enough for everything to dry and as a result, three of my nails got smudged before I got to my next appointment. I stopped by on my way home and explained what happened and she said I could come back the next day which I did. She wanted to redo the whole thing but I said the three nails were fine so she did that and didn't charge me extra even though I offered to pay. Laughable experience here the other day. I had my eyebrows done and granted it was less painful than usual, it was probably because she took out like 5 hairs and said I was done. I was there 8 minutes from entering to leaving. I get my eyebrows threaded often and have experience with a lot of salons. This was the least thorough job I've ever had (and I have full eyebrows). She didn't trim them at all, alcohol wiped them afterwards (whats even the point of that), and didn't even offer to put lotion on. I'm going to my usual spot closer to home to have the job finished. Two stars because cheap ($12 cash) and she didn't make me bleed. read more

I went yesterday for an eyebrow threading service and I explained what I wanted since the moment I got in (the employee is short, and she had a birth mark on her neck) The girl said ok without paying a lot of attention then she called another one to assist me, they both started talking in a different language (maybe Arabic idk) this woman didn't care if it was well done or not and I am extremely upset with the results, I said thick and she took all of my eyebrows out, besides that her breath smelled really bad (please use a mask with every customer) she took most of my eyebrows are out on the left side and now everybody is asking what happened. I went back to complain and asked for my money back, either way I am upset because it will take another 2 months to fully grow. I got so annoyed but the lack of attention, I believe in second chances for everybody but if she's not willing to provide a good service then Get Da F*% Out! I look awful thanks to your bad employee, and I'm never coming back. read more

DO NOT COME HERE for any NAIL services. They cancelled my appointment multiple times and were nearly impossible to deal with over the phone. Though the lady was super friendly and nice she had no idea what she was doing. During my pedicure she did not know what a callous was and tried using the removing tool on the middle part of my foot. She barely touched my feet during the pedicure and I had to ask her to cut my nails. She ruined one nail while taking off the toe separators. She also did not put the top coat on until right before I left the salon so I had to leave in the disposable flip flops. During my manicure I ENDED UP FILING MY OWN NAILS because she had no concept of even nails. They do not have any selection for shellac so that was also not ideal. She did not clean up the nails in the end leaving me with shellac on my skin. I have never been so unhappy at any other salon in Waltham or in general. read more
