I am a new…read morecustomer, I have lived in the area for 4 years, and was looking forward to having my FIRST EVER lash lift before my trip next week. I spent several weeks deciding what treatment I would treat myself to with my next paycheck and chose a lash lift at Plush Beauty Bar Unfortunately, an hour before my appt, someone passed away at my work and I was called into an emergency meeting to discuss. I realized I was running late for my appointment and I called the Plush Beauty Bar to see what I could do given my emergent need to figure something out (like I have crying employees and need to inform next of kin etc but can make it to my appt if you give me a few minutes...). I was informed that despite my extenuating circumstances, someone dying at my place of employment and my immediate role in needing to manage that crisis, there was nothing Plush Beauty Bar could do. The staff member informed me I had called a little too late to work something out and that my visit would be considered a no show and would require the full price of service. I understand the cancellation policy and I was willing to come in and rebook, spend the money that was owed to the technician, tip well, was trying to figure something out. I offered to show my business card or do anything to illustrate that this isn't just something I made up. Despite these efforts and several tears, Plush Beauty Bar was unwilling to give me some grace and work with me given my circumstances. Hope this helps!

Add 10 for tip but still very reasonable for the area Cons: * the woman doing my nails was a bit aggressive with the cuticle pushing - maybe the edges of my nails are more sensitive than most people's but I would recommend asking them to be gentle * The phone! The phone! The phone! Every few minutes the salon's phone would ring and it was hooked up to the surround speaker system so the entire store would basically have this alarm sound every few minutes. They also could really benefit from another employee because each time the phone rang someone's pedicure was interrupted by the owner needing to get up and answer it Will be back. Really good deal and quality manicure/pedicure. They just need to make a few small fixes -- be gentler and figure out a less disruptive phone system.

She spends time learning what you're looking for, and carefully sculpts a precision shape without rushing. When she found out I was using retinol and that waxing could damage my skin, she instead shaped my brows - which were long overdue for a shaping - by tweezing each hair to get that same ideal shape she usually accomplishes by waxing. On top of that, she is personable, accomodating, approachable and I look forward to seeing her every appointment! I always leave with my brows looking so clean and on point. When my daughter needed a last-minute appointment for an event, I was excited to find them and booked right away. Since I had secured the appointment, I stopped looking elsewhere. They had several openings with two stylists throughout the afternoon, so I assumed we were all set. About 45 minutes before the appointment, I got a call saying they had to reschedule because "the girl had to go home." No apology, no offer to move us to another stylist, no real concern -- just a matter-of-fact cancellation. It was a Saturday, they had plenty of availability, and it genuinely felt like they just didn't want to stay for a new client. I ended up with a disappointed child and no time to find another option. In hindsight, all those open time slots (and the website photos) should have been a warning sign. Really disappointing experience. I won't be booking again.
