This 7-11 is a bit hard to get to (if you're going north on Route 29/Columbia Pike), you have to…read moremake a series of turns and ultimately enter through the McDonalds parking lot to access the 7-11 because of all the one-ways and "no left turn" signs. It's also at a very busy intersection with hundreds of cars whizzing by. To cool down, I bought a Slurpee! Each size is just a few cents more than the smaller, but I never intend to finish them anyway. $2 for a medium Slurpee. The cherry flavor I got was mostly liquidy unfortunately. Fortunately they have 8 flavors, but one was not working. The interior was clean and spacious and the cashier was friendly. I also picked up a Redbox DVD for "Greta" in the box outside. I'd pick a different location next time, though.

I went here on Sunday, 8/20. I had called a lot of 7-11, etc to get solar eclipse glasses, since…read morethere was an impending solar eclipse the next day. I was surprised when this location actually said that they had 2 pairs. I was switching hotels (during the apartment fire era) from Bailey's Crossroads to North Laurel. So, 29 was a viable way to go although 95 might've been a bit faster. So, I end up following the GPS and turned left on a residential street, then right, then right on University. Then a left. It's a weird intersection where I was going to have to turn left on one-way eastbound University, left on 29 and have to wait at westbound University light to go to North Laurel. When I arrived, I said that I was calling about the solar eclipse glasses. He had them in a pack of three. I thought I heard him say $2 and then, as I got my $2 out, I thought I heard him say $15. At this point I said I didn't need all three; just one. He said there was no way to separate them. Reluctantly, I said so it's $15, he said no $50! I politely exclaimed I'm not paying $50. Not only that, I realized after the fact that the so called 'solar eclipse glasses' were fake and wouldn't protect your eyes from blindness from the corona. They had to be the ISO approved ones. Incidentally, I bought a colander from Walmart & used paper, which it didn't do anything. Either way, I was taking it back since what the heck am I going to do with colander; I ain't Bobby Flay. Also, my manager had glasses as did two other people from my office. We just shared passing the glasses around. In summary, this 7-11 not only price gauged but were selling fakes.
