I went back and they did Xrays and he said I had a cracked tooth. Funny it wasn't there before he started. And of course, it was NOT his fault - he did NOT crack the tooth. 4th: The area where he drilled - the CRACKED tooth ended up breaking and my bridge would not stay on. 5th: At that point the infection got so bad I ended up in the ER for 5 hours and had an antibiotic and pain med drip. It looked like I had 1/2 of a tennis ball stuffed in my cheek and the pain was BAD. 6th: I went to another dentist and was referred to an oral surgeon where it cost me $900 to have the teeth where the drilling took place cut out. 7th: At this point another $2000+ will be needed to have a plated fitted for this area. 8th: I hope this helps someone to make a determination whether to use Sunrise or not. I will not use the referring dentist also because when I went in and talked to him about what was going on he told me I didn't know what I was talking about - - he and Sunrise were right - I was wrong.

The front office re-arranged clients and did everything they could to get me in as fast as possible. Dr. Linscott is the most caring dentist I have been to in the 60 years that I can remember and I will give his name to anyone that is in need of a fantastic dentist that really cares for his patients.

Dr. Linscott is one of the best overall and gentlest dentists of whom I've been a patient. My…read moreintroduction to Dr. Linscott's practice came as result of a severe root canal infection. I experienced a very sudden onset and rapid escalation of oral pain beginning on a Friday evening which necessitated emergency treatment the next Monday. Dr. Linscott was the only dentist in Athens whom would take me on such short notice. He rescheduled appointments and saw me two hours after I first called. The centrality of his office on Court Street makes him even more accessible to patients. Dr. Linscott treated me successfully to resolution of my case via root canal procedure. In treating me, Dr. Linscott could not have been gentler; in fact decidedly not treating the root canal immediately but first prescribing a strong oral antibiotic to reduce the infection before starting treatment. In my time since as his patient, he has continued to offer the best and gentlest treatment possible. Dr. Linscott's staff are collectively very professional and loyal. His office isn't fancy, but it is clear he remains current on emerging topics and his office is clean, well managed, and has all the tools and talent necessary to do a most effective job. Dr. Linscott remains my dentist today and will remain so, despite my pending relocation to Minnesota.
