This is one of the better hand carwash places I've been to. I'm usually picky about my car and don't even like other people washing it but I took a chance with these guys and they seem to do a pretty good job. I saw lot of Mercedes and BMWs here so that also made me feel a little more comfortable. On few occasions they missed some minor spots on my car which is expected, but overall experience has been good. It's about $15 for a regular hand car wash, which includes vacuuming the inside, hand wash exterior, and tire dressing. I think it's about $3 more for SUVs and trucks. Don't forget to get the punch card. After 10 washes, you get the 11th wash for free. That reminds me, I think I'm almost there. read more

They do a perfect job of washing my baby car. I can't stop staring at him (my car) each and everytime after I go. I usually always get the Value Pack - which is like the second cheapest one .. I don't mind paying 20 bucks to get my car washed, as long as you do a good job at it. They work pretty fast. I'd come here on my lunch break and be back on time or maybe 10 minutes late. And free wifi there! So.. at least you can be entertained with your phone or laptop. I want to try their super detail some day. read more

Okay, I gave the Walnut Hand Wash the benefit of the doubt last week after having my 2013 F150 washed and realizing when I got home that there was two paint chips on my trucks paint. A small chip on the edge of the drivers side door and another on the lower bed panel on the drivers side as well. I chalked it up to normal wear and tear, even though I am probably one of the most meticulous people when it comes to my vehicles. Well, today I just got home from having my truck washed again and wouldn't you know it, there are two more paint chips in my paint. The first one is located on the lower section of the drivers side door and the second on the lower section of the passenger side door. It's pretty disappointing to say the least considering that I haven't even owned my truck for more than a year and there is already paint damage, because of carelessness. I should have done myself a favor and inspected my truck before I left the car wash today, but being the nice guy that I am, I tipped the car wash employee and drove off. I always thought the people that would inspect their vehicle from top to bottom after having it washed were rude and inconsiderate, but I guess you have to do that to ensure that there is no damage after the fact. I called and left a message informing Walnut Hand Wash what has occurred and will give them the opportunity to make it right. I will update this review if and when I am contacted by an employee. **UPDATE** It has been a week since I have informed Walnut Hand Wash of the paint damage they caused to my truck. I have not received any follow up from an employee, so my review will stand. Take my advise and if you care about the paint condition on your vehicle... Inspect your car after it is washed, or just avoid this car wash. It is obvious that the employees who are washing cars inside the wash bay are not taking precaution when opening the vehicles doors as noted by the photos I have posted. read more

This used to be my go-to car wash, but I dunno if I'll be back here anymore. I drove into the entrance on a Sunday and there was just one car in front of me. Three different workers made eye contact with me, but continued working on this car. The main lady walked by my car straight into the office. I waited for a little bit and realized that the car in front of me's battery had died and they were trying to jump the car. Another 5 minutes later, the car finally started and they had me move into the entrance. The guy didn't say anything to me. I asked where I should go and he just pointed inside. So I headed in and read through the different packages. I wanted to wash my car entirely inside and out. However, these were the only options: A) Basic Car Wash B) A+some other things C) A+B and a thorough cleaning of the interior D) A+B and a wax on the outside of the car I wanted C + a wax on the outside, or D + a cleaning of the interior. I explained this to the lady and she said that I couldn't add on a service. I said I wanted a combination of these two packages. So she told me, I could add together C & D. That made absolutely no sense since both included A+B and the wash would have totaled to $70! After realizing I wouldn't be able to get what I wanted, I just went for D because I felt like the outside needed more attention than the interior. After my car came out of the wash, four people were drying it off and polishing the exterior. They were done super fast, and off I went. I feel like their packages have gotten more expensive, and I don't really think they do a good job of cleaning. Also, the inability to add-on services to a car wash seems a little ridiculous. Avoid the drive-thru wash. Went in this morning and tried paying with my card couple of times to no avail. An old lady (owner/manager?) walked up and said the machine doesn't take cards. There was no sign that disclosed that. She broke a $20, entered a code, and in I went. Towards the end, the machine just spits you out as its way of thanking you for the money. You may to wipe down the windshield as water will get on it after. The Chevron on Lemon and La Puente has a better machine, but expect a line. IIRC, it's about $1-$2 more. read more

Good carwash, but I have to contend about quick. It took 40 minutes for my car to get washed, and it wasn't THAT busy. Fortunately, when i need a carwash, I'm not lookin to get in and out too quick, so it wasn't that big of a deal. I just want to make sure you guys know it's not the fastest. They do a good job tho, and they have a nice sitting area outside where you can enjoy the weather(weather-permitting, of course), and a few seats inside. It seems like they have wifi there cuz there was a lady on her computer there the whole time the last time I was there. But you can also walk down the street and run errands(I went to the P.O, and the BofA about 2 blocks away) which makes the wait time much shorter. Best car wash ever. Prices start at $14.95 for basic car wash (SUVs extra) and can go up to $100+ for detail work. They do a fabulous job here, even if you only ordered their most basic wash. It is almost as if it had been detailed. The workers here like to spend their time and they are very meticulous! I have spent the same amount of money for an automated car wash elsewhere.. and have had half the effort and time put into cleaning the car. I drive the extra 15 mins together here because I know the owner/manager (nice lady with the ponytail and visor) and her staff will not disappoint. I came back to my car, there were visible, black markings/smudges all around the car. My boyfriend and I went back to clean each of them which took about 5 minutes each. (Sorry no pic cause I was so pissed) Went to the back, trunk and back bumper were so wet still - had to wipe that down also. What pissed me off the most was they spilled something on the drivers seat!! (See attached photo) luckily, I had a leather cleaner but honestly, very unprofessional. They also air dried the Windows leaving water marks. Overall, I left the car wash super annoyed. I'm giving them two stars rather than one because I believe the people here are nice and super hardworking. The interior clean is thorough but I'm PISSED about my seats. Also, they clearly don't have enough people working and should think about expanding since there's so many car owners willing to give them business. If you have an hour & a half to waste, then go ahead, come here. Tips: try going in the morning on a weekday. Or else you'll end up waiting forever. Be aggressive when trying to pay. Came here today around 4:30pm, they didn't finish until 5:30ish. Lady at the register was mean. I got the $17.95 car wash which included cleaning out all the trash, cigarette compartment, cup holder compartment and what not. When I got my car back, there were still trash in the compartment under my stereo, and the cup holder and cigarette compartment was still very dirty... the guy working on my car did not do a very good job. He was this dark Albert Einstein looking guy. So I asked this other person to clean it for me, he was very nice and cleaned it all for me, he did a good job. If you get your car wash here, I would recommend the younger-looking guy that has glasses. He is actually happy to help and does his job right! I came here because of all the good reviews, but I'm not sure if I would come back here, it's an average place compared to all the other car wash places I have been. This place is the worst place to get your car washed. I have taken my car here for a few times and each time I try to give them a chance I am let down. The reason why I come back and try it out again is because a few of my friends love coming here. My biggest criteria when it comes to car washes is making sure my interior is clean. This place does a horrible & let me repeat a horrible job when it comes to interior. I was pretty mad last week after I took in my car since my interior looked like a half-assed cleaning job. My cup holder had a few cookie crumbs because I accidentally spilled some while driving. I purposely left the cup holder area open so they wouldn't forget to vacuum the crumbs for me. Too my surprise they did vacuum it but they left one piece of cookie in my cup holder. This really irritated me because this just reflects laziness. How can you clean something and just not finish the job. Doesn't it bother your conscience that there's one piece of cookie left and you just keep ignoring it. Especially since I know they wipe after they vacuum. This person must have been so lazy to just wipe over that cookie or pretend to just simply not see it. On top of that they broke my air freshener. I have plenty of stories on why I dislike this place but I'll just leave at this for now. Overall, I should have inspected my vehicle before giving a fat tip to the worker. And they are so SLOW when it comes to washing your car. Please save your money and drive down a block to go to Fairway Car wash. Best hand wash I've been to. Well as long as you go before mid day, not an hour before closing. If you go kind of late they rush it and don't do a proper wipe down on the interior and miss some details. But even their worst carwash is better than the best at a larger drive through car wash. It does take a while though, so be prepared to sit for 30-40 minutes until your car is done... it is a hand wash after all. They have free wifi which is great! I usually bring a laptop and get work done. There's also a starbucks near by if you'd rather want to walk there and kill time. Many customers drop of cars and come back around 5 to pick them up. I live in LA, but when I'm visiting the area on weekend I almost always use them for a regular was $15 which is a great deal...Includes tire armorall. Employees are really nice too! read more

Quick, real hand wash for a good price. I like that they vaccum the carpets and they use compressed air to clean the inside and to dry the crevices from the outside. There is an outdoor patio with some chairs and a small indoor section for you while you wait. You ca also walk across to get del taco or there is a tea station and Starbucks at the lemon intersection a block away. They do a quick but through job and I see a lot of nice cars roll through here. Also, if you have a lowered. Car this is for you since they don't put your car on a rail they drive it to the back to wash and around to the side to dry. There is also a quick wash which does use the rail/auto wash thing like you see at gas stations too. read more

Hands down the worst car wash I have ever been to. If I could give them negative stars I would. There are two lanes for the automated wash machines. So I go to use the left one and I am surprised that it is fully automated. So the touch screen machine is broken but I don't really find that out til later even though there is a lady working there and she doesn't say a thing to me. I tried purchasing using my credit card twice but I realize the machine just freezes and it's resets back to the home menu. So screw it, I try pay with cash. The machine clearly states that it accepts, $1, $5, $10, and $20 dollar bills. I choose the $7 car wash and a out come a few error messages on the machine. I receive no change but yet the machine starts so I don't have time to complain. I figured I'll just ask about my change after the wash. So I go through the wash and at the end of it, my car is still pretty wet. I thought maybe they were supposed to hand dry the car so I get in line with the other cars getting wiped down. A guy comes out and says I am done because I paid for the cheap wash. I informed the guy that my car is still very wet, your blowers must not be very effective and that they still owed me money since the machine never gave me any change.He literally says to me, you pay for cheap $hit, you get cheap $hit and attempted to give me some type of life lesson. Pretty annoyed at this point I drove around to the office and asked them for my change. The same lady that was next to me when I had trouble with the machine proceeds to inform me that the machine is broken and that I can't use $20 bills and I have to use exact change even if the machine says I can use $20 bills. I don't understand why they don't post a sign on the machine or tell me that the machine is broken earlier. She said next time I come here that I need to do that. Trust me lady, there will be no next time. Needless to say I will never return here. I have no clue how they are able to manage more than 1.5 stars at best for this place. I initially planned to do the $10 express car wash but did not have cash on me so ended up doing the $19 one which included both interior and exterior cleaning. Was working and had a hour to kill. So I decided to get my work truck washed. Pulled up the area and this place was the closest to me. Pulled in and there was one car in front of me. Got out looked around and after 5 min no one came up to me. I see guys washing cars but no one greeting and ordering. So I left and went to other one down the street. Did not have time to waste and this place wasted my time. I ended up going to Fairway Garden car wash down the street and it was excellent. Loved the little koy pound. read more

Befote i start, i want to clarify that this place is open every day of the week. They only close when there is bad weather. Yelp has their business hours wrong. This place is the spot to go for great car washes. 1st, they don't use automatic rails so you're car is truly hand washed. This is also good for lowered cars like mine. 2nd its probably the most detailed cleaning I've ever had. They do a great job here. 3rd they sell 11 wash multipacks that end up being around $13 for a value car wash(normal wash plus armorall). The lady even gave me a free wash today with the multipack purchase. I've tried other washes in the area and always come back here. read more

Not sure what went wrong in the 1 star review down below...BTW, I thought the shop manager was a nice lady, not a guy. This place is the only car wash I would prefer to go to in the entire SoCal region, provided that there is no urgent need to wash my car during the weekdays. I live about 15 miles away, and there are so many car washes nearby. In fact, there is a big one right across the street from me, but I'd stay away from all the nearby ones as much as possible, unless there is messy bird's poo on my car that needs immediate care. I'd "accumulate" all the mess on my car for about 2 to 3 weeks until the "happy day" on the weekend. Yeah, the process itself is torturous - people who pamper their cars, I know you can feel this pain! When the wash time comes, I leave it up to the pros @ Walnut Hand Car Wash. A regular wash is about $20, and with hand wax it's about $45 (SUV price). What separates this place from all others is its attention to details. Ever since I've become a regular here (been 4+ years now), I have never had to walk up to my car for an "inspection" before taking off. I know they'd take care of things here. Things like sparkling rims with shiny tires and spotless glass and even the exhaust tip all fall into the category "business as usual" here. This type of service just isn't present in other car wash places, where I would always need to "remind" or "demand" that they check on certain spots/issues, let alone paying close to $50 for crappy washes. The wait could be a little long, but you are getting "hand services". The wax job takes about 40 to 50 minutes. Bring a book or newspapers while you wait. read more

Hi everyone! I found this car wash through this site and now I'm kind of "if-y" about this establishment now. Here are the positives: I just want to let everyone reading this review that the location of this car wash is in a decent location. There are plenty of good amenities offered for the customers waiting for their vehicles to be washed and services...some amenities include: free wifi, free coffee, drinks and snacks available for purchase and a nice airy area to wait for your car to be serviced. The woman that helped me in the office was kind and friendly; she also helped me decide which service to get and provided me with a stamp card that after 10 car washes, I would get one free. Here are the negatives: I found a scrape in my cars paint job on the hood and minor damage that may have come from one of the automatic machines that they use on the cars. I didn't immediately notice these im-perfections until alter in the day when I got home and really looked into the details of my car. There is now an air bubble on the hood of my car and adjacent to it would be the paint scrape I'm not sure what can be explained of what happened to my car, but I'm not happy with what happened to my car. However, I am giving this car wash the benefit of the doubt in comparison to other local car washes in the area that are much WORSE this Walnut Hand....trust me when I say that! I would still recommend this company even though I did not have the best experience. read more

I usually get Super Car Wash ($14.95), they also have Value Car Wash (17.95) with Armorall on the interior, and Express Car Wash ($34.95) with exterior wax. This was my go to place to get my cars washed but the after yesterday, it will be my last time. Service was slower than usual as the workers were chatting with some friend of theirs as they dry the cars. That's not such a big deal to me but it was just an observation each time I looked that they were talking more to the friend than paying attention to their job. Finally my car was done, so I walked over, gave my tip and received my car key from the attendant. As usual, I give the car a quick look to see if there's any wet spots or whatnot. Immediately, I see a scratch on my hood. There was no way it was there before without me noticing it, the scratch went all the way down to the metal and it wasn't a small one either. So I looked around for the attendant and he's nowhere to be seen. Usually, they would hang around a bit to make sure you are happy with the wash but this time the guy walked away right after I gave him the tip. I think it was from the metal air compressor tool they use to blow water out from the crevices of the car. I saw the worker using it, waving it around close to the car as he was taking to his friend. I didn't see him hit the car with it but, of course, I wasn't sitting there watching him every second. I can hear him chatting excitedly with his friend without looking up. So in the end, got a good car wash but also damaged paint due to carelessness and unnecessary distractions on the part of the attendant. Will not be bringing my cars back to this place. read more

I am a return customer for a few reasons. *Customer service is great, they get you in and out as fast as possible and everyone is friendly *They do a great hand wash! I've taken cars that have sat for months and they leave them spotless evey time! *Most places do a quick wipe down of the interior. These guys actually clean the interior! Reading the reviews, I had high hopes for this car wash and purchased their pre-paid wax service for $359. However, I was only able to use twice in the past 6 months. Why? Long wait time. The 2 times I went I waited for almost 2 hours. The 3rd and 4th time I went, the lady told me it will be at least 1.5 hours. I couldn't wait around for that long so I went to a different car wash. She told me most of their workers are part time employees and have very short staff during weekdays. So I went back on a Saturday and they were backed up because of the high volume of vehicles waiting to get washed. This is a no win situation. Yes, they do a good job. get with the feelin' y'all, car wash yeah. - Rose Royce I always think I'm in a music video or movie when I want to get my car cleaned and the Rose Royce song is playing in the background. I pull up into the driveway and get in line to have my car vacuumed. Then it gets sent to the wash area and out it comes all shiny and new. Then reality sets in and all I hear is the dj in my head backspin the record and I look at my car. I'm always disappointed and saddened that the Rose Royce song was not shown justice. However all that changed with Walnut Hand Car Wash. Location of this place is actually very good. It's literally surrounded by a number of auto shops. You could probably get your car worked on and washed in the same day and you wouldn't have to go far. There's a Del Taco so you could grab some food as well. The ambiance/decor of the place is very basic. You walk in and there is a small table and two chairs to your left. The counter to pay at is ahead. One thing I did enjoy about this place was the wifi they offered as well as the small cafe and snacks for purchase. Outside is a small patio are with some more tables and chairs. There is also a large wall which you can sit on and wait for your car. Service is terrific. The lady at the counter explained the packages to me and offered me the rewards card. The guys who drive your car into the wash area are very careful and have a certain confidence. After cleaning my car, they even waited for me to get off the phone to tell me my car was ready. Even though I love the place, I have to say they do take a loooong time. I went to this place on a Sunday and only one car ahead of me. It took then 25-30 min to complete the job. Honestly, I didn't mind it since I had nothing to do and the work was amazing. However, for those in a time crunch, be aware you might be waiting. The other thing that was a let down was the price. I don't mind paying the extra 5-8 bucks because the work really shows, but I wash my car maybe once every 40 or so days. This place could burn a hole in your wallet if you like to get a car wash done on a 7-15 day cycle.
