Dr. Sao is great and so are staff members in frame selection and fitting. *However, the office needs to change their phone answering policies! Front office staff are required to drop support to customers Cold Turkey, to answer and then document every incoming phone call (~20min!) then return to customer sitting at their desk to continue support. Meanwhile the line of customers waiting for support is growing longer and longer. (Very rude and inconsiderate policy). Callers should be able to leave a message, or call back later. Support team can catch up on phone msgs LATER. Customers who made the effort to drive in and park should be TOP PRIORITY, only superceded by PATIENTS with an appointment, or exiting their Eye Exam. (Picking up eye glasses should not be a 1hr waiting experience). read more

Bunch of incompetent liars. If you get Alexis, walk away because she will guess at everything. Glasses were no good. Paid for upgraded lenses and when I asked to exchange them because bifocals were not done correctly, they exchanged it and said they will just upgrade the lens so that it evens put. The upgrade lens were $75!!! Predatory practice to take someone's money without making them whole. When asked, they said that the insurance process takes 6 weeks and that's why they kept the charges the same. Thanks for disclosing. I'm sure this is against many consumer protection laws. It's been several weeks and my insurance company said the return has never been initiated and it is usually instantly. Went back today and Alexis starts guessing again and told me to call their processing department. When asked who they are, she once again says I don't know. Went to Costco and got a pair for $150 with no insurance. How did glasses with insurance at Walmart cost $148? BTW, got our invoice from the insurance company and Walmart overcharged me by $10. Considering that many people of modest means turns to Walmart, this is shameful! Ripping people off should not be your profit strategy! read more

I started coming here in 2016 to get my eye exams and have always had a positive experience. Eye exam price is also very affordable if you're paying out of pocket. The doctor also is very friendly and always answers any concerns I have. In 2019 I was recommended by a friend to a new optometry place in Santa Ana and I hated it the optometrist rushed the exam and when I got my prescription I was still seeing blurry so I decided to come back to the Walmart optometrist and I Definitely recommend come here. read more

My wife and I got our glasses from Walmart Vision center at University road. The employees were very friendly but don't seem to know what they are doing. We paid over $800 for both pairs. Anti-glare, darkening when in light. However the glasses are totally useless. Both our first pairs had to be returned to the lab as we could see a thing with the lenses. Got it a couple a weeks later, still not 100%. During our initial visit, the employees simply just gave us a piece of paper with the different type of lenses but didn't explain what they meant. Our glasses are basically useless. Too heavy and we are unable to use it at all. Worst decision ever made. I will never return to them read more

Go figure less than a week after pretty much everywhere shuts down due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, my ONLY pair of glasses breaks and I'm a little past due on my vision prescription being renewed. I call up the Walmart Vision Center where I had my prescription written and filled crossing my fingers someone answers but not overly hopeful; the Desiree answers the phone! She was not only super helpful and accommodating but she had the greatest positive attitude. I was able to order a replacement pair of glasses no problem thanks to Desiree!! Thank you!! After my insurance ran out, I needed a less-expensive solution to Lenscrafters and this Wal-Mart came to the rescue. (This review is based primarily on the eye-exam, as I didn't purchase any new frames. However, the employees helping with frames were nice!) Comparing to Lenscrafters, Wal-Mart uses all the same tools to perform the eye-exam and they are very accommodating to first-timers. As a plus, the doctor let me know that Wal-mart includes the Dilated exam with the cost of the eye-exam. (Lenscrafters charges for $40 extra for this!!!) I think the only down-side is that they do not have the best frame selection, but you can always buy your frames online and bring them in for the prescription lenses to be made. The tech/receptionist Maria and Dr.Truong (Sp?) were awesome and a pleasure to meet. I will definitely recommend anyone I know to this Vision center because of them. read more

First time using this place. I had an issue with my lenses that made me very frustrated. After a short while, bought a 2nd pair minus the coating. When I had a bit off a challenge with 2nd pair went back in. The manager listened to my situation and immediately looked over the orders. She noticed the 1st pair had a warranty due to the coating. She gave me some helpful cleaning suggestions. She replaced 1st pair of lenses with the warranty. After I had them a week they made a follow up call. A+ on customer service. Thank you! read more

Kathleen G. You anti-reflective coating is defective. I had to have it put on my lenses due to cataract surgery. The first coating did not last 6 months and I was told it was because of how I was cleaning them. They gave me new lenses and I bought their cleaner. Guess what, the coating did not last more then six months. I was told they would not replace them. I am most unhappy with this coating! read more

I went in to the Orange Wal-Mart Vision Center and was helped by Linda. She was very patient and I enjoyed the way she helped me. Great personality, great helper a definite asset to your company. She was patient and took the time needed. We had an issue due to my vision and Linda helped us figure it out, got the manager to okay re styling and re issuing my glasses. i am just awaiting the glasses now. When talking with Linda I felt like I was dealing with a friend and there was no push for sales and the decisions were my own based on her suggestions and professional oopinion. This is an area where Wal Mart shines and I would recommend their service and especially Linda's as she was great!! read more

This Walmart is awful! Two cashiers with atrocious lines. Self Check Out backed up. Lines didn't move in over 5 minutes. Took me over 15 minutes to check out. FINALLY heard a call for all available cashiers, by this time there are some pretty fed up customers. I'm done with this WalMart. Always short staffed on Cashiers. I see Management/Leads, whatever they are called just standing around. This busy, you call for help and you start getting lines moving, even if that means YOU have to jump on a register. This WalMart is the worst at this!! Although, Ligaya, my Cashier today was a sweetheart, despite some rude comments by other customers, she kept Smiling and doing the best she could! Always have trouble with this place. All other employees from the Sales Associates to Doctors are great except for one... gem. The Oriental lady at this location will always try to FORCE an up-sale down your throat and tell you that even though you are doing what your told your still doing it wrong. She will guarantee that without this up-sale your life will be flawed without it ( paraphrased). The warranty available covers scratches, dents, chips etc. Everything! For only $28 for 2yrs why not? Well here's where it gets interesting. What she doesn't tell you is that she won't do her job and honor said purchased warranty, she'll argue and threaten to not continue to do so. She will argue against you using your warranty you've PURCHASED from them. You purchase a warranty from a company the company must honor it as long as the said issues arise within the warranty guidelines. Going to look for a much friendlier and progressive eye doctors. You really pay for what you get folks. You get your glasses at Walmart expect typical Wally World treatment. read more

Vision center is very affordable I came here for my contacts and I also brought my glasses here to get prescription on them I bought them online and they were ready within 7-10 business days mostly just 7 days I love it here Desiree was very friendly and funny and very helpful I recommend this place to anyone read more

This version center is OUTSTANDING!! I've been to several optometrists but I have to say the customer service from beginning to end was beyond satisfactory! I'm looking into wearing prescription contact lenses for the first time in my life so I had several questions, I called the vision center spoke to Kristen who not only took the time to answer all my questions but did so with patience and a great attitude! I was in the area so I walked in on a Friday evening and Kristen was able to give me a appt for the very next day, mind you I was very excited for this whole process because I was eager to start wearing colored contacts oppose to glasses! Dr Sochet Sao is the best optometrist I've ever seen in my 50 yrs of life, he took the time to hear my concerns and answer my 100 questions that I had, I guess the Office staff Kristen & Shantal learned from the best, Dr. Sao! at the end of my exam I walked out of there office not only able to see with my new contacts but very pleased with having been treated like a VIP! This one is actually not the "real" walmart vision. It is owned by National Vision. I went there to order Nikon ploy lenses with my own frames.($199 for lenses and $20 processing fee, they sell the thinnest one 1.67 like $270) However the receipt I got showed "Digimax HD w/ Neverglare coating" instead of Nikon with Totalshield coating. I double checked/ sales and she was pretty sure she did Nikon lenses for me. I went home w/ my doubts and did some research online. This walnart vision center cant be found on "walmart.com" and "Nikon eyes". Also, on nikon eyes online all lenses should come w/ totalshield coating not other kinda coating. I went back to the store to verify their Nikon Lenses. They are not able to show me the certificate of Nikon Lense to me. If you go to Nikon Eyes online, they clearly says every pair of nikon lenses comes w/ certificates. Also, they insisted that the Neverglare coating they sold is the same as Nikon total shield. This explanation is just so unprofessional how could 2 different brands of coating be the same? After almost 10 days of waiting when I got my glasses, the lenses they made are just blowing my mind!! The sizes of lenses didnt even fit my glasses. I can easily take them off the glasses when I touched the lenses gently w/ my fingers. Luckily I returned w/o any problem. I would recommend you all go to the Walmart Vision in Buena Park which is an official retailer of Walmart Vision and Nikon, it is way more professional than National Vision and you can easily tell they have all authenticated lenses from Nikon and Zeiss. I ended up ordered the thinnest 1.67 Zeiss there with extra digital screen blue coating($205). read more

I usually come here to get my contact prescription. The doctor is pretty nice, but the recpetionist is a straight RUDE. I brought my mom in last week and they had nobody in the room, and it says they take walk ins. I greet the receptionist with a hi, im looking to get my moms eyes checked out. She says,"Were all booked up." I said,"Well dont u take walk ins." She said,"Yes, but were filled up." Um whats the point in putting we welcome walk ins if you dont? I was just over her attitude anyways. She was liek that when I got my eyes done as well. Like I was taking away from what she was doing. The worst receptionist ever. I would suggest getting rid of her because she is so rude. I then looked up on my phone for a local Walmart with a Vision Center. Bam I founbd one off euclid in Anaheim. Now when we got in this place was very busy and they even found time to see us. They also do a follow up appointment a week later to make sure your happy with your contact choice. They went way up and beyond what the other place did, and they just acted like I was wasting their time. Go to the one a few miles away you will bve so much happier :) read more
