Good to know, especially considering I didn't purchase my frames there.

They have gotten it worked out during those times but I despise the testing because it takes longer than a typical test so I've had to prolong the testing.

She made me feel comfortable to take my time when looking at different frames and she helped to tell me not only which ones she liked from the ones I had selected, but why they worked on my face and for my needs as well. The waiting area is very nice, even though I rarely spend more than a few minutes waiting, it is very pleasant. I look forward to my annual eye appointment every year because I feel like they help me (checking the prescription on my old glasses to see if they still work for me, for example) and hear me out and I leave seeing better with a fun new pair of glasses. It's an annual treat!

I can no longer recommend this practice to anyone. The ophthalmologists are very friendly and…read morereally good, but over the last year I have experienced what I consider to be questionable business practices. I was a patient for over 12 years, but I am probably not going to be anymore. Let me disclose somethings that they do NOT disclose until you are already done: 1. If you bring in an outside pair of glasses, because you don't like what they have in stock - they will charge you at least $20 - even if they are filling the script and you are their patient. You brought in a pair of glasses that was not purchased through their store. 2. If you get cataract surgery, and you later need a pair of readers, they sold my father an (81 year old man) readers that cost over $700 which could have been purchased OTC for less than $50. 3. Also, if you wear contacts - they will charge you $85 - not covered by most insurance. Doesn't matter that your prescription hasn't changed, they just want the additional $85 - as "there are materials involved," so I was told. I don't recall anything different from any other eye exam. It ended with, "we have to renew your prescription." So there it is - $85 to renew prescriptions.

This office is extremely unprofessional. I literally witnessed a patient come in for an eye visit,…read moreand I witnessed the patient's behavior. The patient was definitely not drunk or under the influence of any drugs or alcohol. It's pretty obvious when people are drunk because they reek of alcohol she was just there for an eye visit. I am not sure why the staff thought she was under the influence of alcohol or drugs because she clearly wasn't but they proceeded to call the police on her and tell the police that she was under the influence of alcohol yet the staff still treated her for her visit. If she was really under the influence of alcohol wouldn't medical professionals not be allowed to treat her? I don't think the staff would've treated her because it's probably a liability to treat a I patient that's under the influence of drugs or alcohol. I was an appalled by them treating her this way when the woman was just was coming in to get a new prescription for her glasses and I witnessed her behavior. She was not under the influence of anything for the staff to call the police on her is absurd and extremely unprofessional. I will never go here again after I witnessed how they treat their patients very unprofessional receptionist, staff, and definitely the medical staff. I don't know what this lady did for them to treat her this way, but she didn't deserve that and I will never go there again and I will tell all my friends and everyone I know how this poor young lady was treated and how no one should ever go to insight vision center off Lone Elm in Olathe, Kansas. Do better. I don't know why the staff assumed she was under the influence. Now I believe the staff or medical professionals that work there were under the influence is that why they thought that she was? It's absurd and I will tell everyone about this. You lost me as a patient I hope you lost her as a patient and I know tons of people that wear glasses and they were going to your vision center but I've already told them what happened. Now those patients told me they will never go there again and I'll keep spreading the word of their unprofessionalism. No Patient should be treated in this manner.

The doctor proceeded to take her prescription manually, I was SO impressed with his patience and professionalism. Then, after that, the doctor suggested that we go back to the machines and try again. He was able to get pictures this time! The machine read her prescription as the EXACT numbers that he had recorded during his manual examination. The man behind the desk urged me to bring her back if there were any problems with her glasses. They ended up slipping down her nose a bit so I took him up on that. He fixed it in a matter of minutes and they have fit perfectly for the last 3 months!! I cannot emphasize enough how impressed I was and how grateful I am to this location. I selected them because they were a local practice and not some national chain where I was just another number. Well that's no longer the case. They've apparently outsourced their scheduling to a call center in a foreign country and I no longer feel that my personal health information can be trusted with them. I contacted their Olathe office to express my concern, but did not receive a return call from their office manager as I was promised. Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend Ridgeview Eye Care. I hope they realize that trust is key to keeping the customers who helped build their practice.

I originally had gone to my previous optometrists office however based on the price they quoted per pair $600 for lenses only it was clear based on the sales associates indifference they weren't really interested in my business. I removed their Yelp review because I could no longer stand behind the level of customer service. Enter Fairway Eye center. Some years ago I had done business with Fairway and remembered the excellent customer service. In fact the only reason I really switched was they didn't have the frames I wanted. I digress. So after getting a completely outrageous quote I called Fairway and asked for Tina. I was pleasantly surprised when I found out she was still there. I explained my dilemma and all I can say is that Fairway came to the rescue once again. The prices were completely reasonable and Fairway stands 100% behind their product and customer service. I won't be going to anyplace else again. The customer service can't be beat!

As this was my first experience obtaining glasses, I expected clear guidance and support, which I unfortunately did not receive. Despite my attempts to understand the prescription process, I found the optometrist's explanations inadequate and unhelpful. Additionally, I have incurred out-of-pocket expenses for three pairs of reading glasses and one Multifocal pair, all based on this incorrect prescription. Given these circumstances. After contacting their office, they did ask me to come in and get a second test for free. However as a direct result of my previous experience I chose to seek a second opinion from a different Dr who did confirmed that the prescription was incorrect. I have incurred expenses from this additional test. They have REFUSED to refund my money based on the FACT that I went else where to have my eyes tested.
