We were a complicated customer in that I had my oldest daughter with me who was getting glasses for the first time, I also had my youngest daughter's glasses with me needing updated lenses. I only had the name of my insurance provider, without any policy numbers. Raye multi-tasked like a pro. She got my older daughter started looking at frames, and in the meantime quickly identified my insurance coverage. She compared those benefits to my AAA benefit to the in-store promotions and it was easy to identify the best way to process my purchases. She shared in the enthusiasm of my other daughters first set of glasses and patiently helped her pick out the best pair, and got the lab working on them immediately. Because we were going out to dinner, I was planning to pick up both glasses the next day (the replacement lens wouldn't be ready until then anyway). I received a text that the new glasses were ready earlier than promised. By the time we finished dinner and drove back to Lenscrafters it was about 8:10 pm. They close at 8:00 pm. My daughter was disappointed. Just for the heck of it, I knocked on the door. The general manager, Mike, came and unlocked the door. I apologized to him and asked if we could possibly get the glasses even though they were closed. I'm sure Mike was ready to go home, but he graciously invited me in and seemed genuinely delighted to get the glasses for us. That's great customer service. The next day (today), I went back in to get the second pair of glasses. The store was packed. Raye saw me come in, smiled, walked across the store and asked how Eliza like her glasses. I was blown away that she remembered my daughter's name based on the volume of people in and out of this store. I will continue to go here for our entire family's glasses needs. I was taken in the back by a member of the staff and went through the typical pre-exam routine. The girl who assisted me was extremely nice and friendly. She took me to the main exam room and I waited less than five minutes for the doctor. Dr. Frye was my doctor that day. Not only was she extremely knowledgeable, but she was also super friendly and helpful. She thoroughly answered all of my questions and never once did I feel rushed. She seemed genuinely concerned about my issues, and took her time in explaining things to me and offering solutions. She gave me samples of eye drops, contact solution, and both my existing contacts and a different brand I was considering. I was in and out in hour. A yearly visit at my previous eye doctor was an all-morning or all-afternoon affair. And despite this, I never felt rushed! I appreciate the time the doctors and staff took with me and I will definitely be back.

So I was going to try them again thinking because of their closure during covid they would afford me with at least one more chance to a different pair of lenses since I paid $185 for a year of service Well to my surprise they are not willing to work with me. They will charge another $185 ( or more) to do contact lenses trial and exam. I was told by another eye care company that I wasn't a fit for contacts, but this doc at Battleground assured me I was. I tried 2 different pairs when I first got started and they didn't work. I kinda gave up but also had other concerns( back surgery) that were more pressing. I think the doctor made a bad choice saying I was able to use contact lenses and now I dont know what to think since they never gave me the full year that I paid for. Very disappointed.

I tried to convince my husband to get a virtual eye exam but he prefers the in-person experience. I'm glad he did because he had an amazing optometrist who made him feel comfortable. Another thing we love about America's best is the wide selection of frames that you can choose from. The staff are so patient and are wager to help if you have questions about any of them.

THIRTY HOURS LATER, I got a call back that they were still very busy and could give me some numbers for their other practices so I could call and see if they might be able to work me in. By that time, I had been to a Primary care doctor and referred to an opthamologist who had started necessary treatments and prescribed meds to address the pain. So, if you only need an exam and some glasses, this might be the place. If you happen to consider them your eye doctors and have an emergency, might want to have a backup plan.

Went to Jewelry Authority with a 7ct, 10k Citrine ring that weighed a little over 4g. They literally offered $93! $93 whole dollars. 10k is going for maybe $68 per gram. Yet, they offered me $93 for the entire ring! How insulting is that? This seems to be a common thing with their business and I'm truly wondering if they only lowball a certain demographic of people. It's bad business and a bad look! Thankfully, I took to ring to a coin/gold business for scrap and they took the stone out of the ring and gave me almost $200 for it. I sold it for scrap more than JA offered! And I kept the stone! So do yourself a favor and avoid Jewelry Authority if you want to get sell your jewelry. You'll probably get more selling it on your own or scrapping it.
