i'm told this location has a different manager from the one my mom knew; and i should also note that my aunty recommended this place.
in fact, she bought her frames here. i also need to note that i have always spent at least $300 and as much as $600 for one pair of frames with progressive lens and sometimes including transitions.
personally, i can only say, from my point of view, don't go here. i didn't have a good experience. i actually, was willing to chalk up this eyeglass purchasing transaction to a one off bad set of events, but it just keeps getting more disappointing. read the following...
to keep it simple, i purchased 2 glasses. one of the glasses broke while the tech/manager was adjusting them, so he ordered new frames. but, the new glasses came in the wrong color and they didn't have anymore in silver.
on that day i couldn't find anything i liked in my price range (up to $80). so, i waited a few days to choose new frames. i finally chose a new pair, which also had to be ordered in a different color. i patiently waited for the new frames and less than a week later they broke.
Tuesday April 3, i returned the broken frames, which thankfully were under warrantee. i chose a new pair, instead of ordering the same pair as a replacement. i decided to chose any frame that i could live with to avoid the wait of several days for them to arrive and then have the lens made. well, the same day, i got a text saying that they were done, then later on that same day i received a call to say they needed to redo the lens, because they weren't right. i got another text saying that they were ready. great, so i go to the store and the redone lens were also flawed and they needed to do the lens again. the following day i get a call telling me that they weren't right again. now, it's been 5 days and still no glasses due to problems in their lab.
i'll admit that they were nice enough to notify me, via phone, both times to say the lens didn't pass inspection and they also said they were a priority. yet, now it's the fifth day and i have no new glasses; even though, you can get glasses there the same day. so, i ask, why has it taken almost a week to get the lenses made? is it deliberate, or poor management? i have no clue.
for me, glasses are a serious purchase, because i cannot see without them. liking the frames i have to wear daily is important, but it's not a fashion statement to purchase glasses, yes, it's definitely a medical necessity.
to buy 2 frames for less than $250 sounds like a deal; however, it has not been worth it. dealing with the poor service, product quality and poor consumer experience with Eyemart Express WS didn't make up for the savings. thanks to the one woman who called me and tried to get it right.
lastly, i decided to omit a detailed critique of general customer service at this location. i will only say that i wouldn't recommend this particular location; perhaps, as a company it's still a good choice for reasonably priced quick turnaround glasses. read more
