I wanted to just get an updated eye exam because I needed a replacement contact lens. The exam was…read morecovered by my insurance but they added an additional $89 out-of-pocket for fitting which has never happened when I had Aetna PPO, but since Arizona no longer offers PPO through Aetna, I had to change to Blue Cross, Blue Shield Health Choice Pathway and Premier claims the only coverage is for the exam. I was planning to just get the prescription and order a couple of lenses online like in the past, and wasn't going to order the lens through Premier...I felt kind of dismissed and talked into buying it here and paying for a fitting which should be included with the exam, IMO.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Sanders. He is, without question, the kindest and…read moremost thorough eye doctor I have ever met. During my exam, he went above and beyond to understand not only my vision concerns but also how my overall health might be impacting my eyes. For the first time in over two years of dealing with ongoing eye and health issues, I felt truly heard and not brushed aside. Dr. Sanders was on time, attentive, and incredibly compassionate. He took the time to listen, explain, and genuinely care--qualities that set him far apart from the typical medical experience today. His dedication and kindness made a huge difference in my visit. I also want to mention the office manager, Krista, who was equally wonderful. Together, they create an environment that feels supportive, welcoming, and exceptional in every way. I have never had a better experience with a doctor, and I cannot recommend Dr. Sanders highly enough.

Dr, Geiler is a professional! It is unusual to find a doctor so knowledgeable and dedicated to his…read morepatients. He is definitely my "go to" doctor. I know patients who have gone to his dad and Todd for decades. That says a lot. They know they will receive the best care possible. I'm eligible to see the optometrist at our local VA. I choose to go to Dr. Geiler because I have the utmost trust and confidence in his ability to always properly take care of my vision. Just think about how valuable our eyes are, especially as we age. We need all the professional help we can receive. In summary, I would always choose Dr, Geiler over any other optometrist in the Quad-Cities. Thank you and your dad, Dr Geiler!

The Wall of Uncaring Front Office staff prevented that opportunity. There is something wrong with…read moremy vision. My primary care said, "you need to see an ophthalmologist" and wrote a referral to (direct) the Doctor's office (I rec'd a copy, waited two or three days, no call). I figure, and my inflamed eyes indicate so as well as a vision anomaly, that I "need" to see Dr Geiler. When I called the answering staff was very 'cool', I said I had been referred, "aah, ahh" and I thought I needed to see the doctor. 'Well, we have an appointment in middle August (three weeks out) ..?" When I mentioned I was a referral because of an observed 'issue', she said, "Well, that's all we have.." COMPLETELY indifferent.. that is NOT the Doctor's fault (he should try booking an appointment when they don't know it is him calling) BUT absolutely no help, concern, care, or even offering to put me on a cancellation list. I've heard that medical practices have a hard time getting 'caring' people. True? [Edit - as I was concerned about my vision I reached out to another eye care professional, M n M, and WOW.. Holly was extremely professional and kind. Said they had a busy schedule "but" because my primary care had noted the eye issue, she felt it should be seen 'sooner rather than later' and would get me in Monday (two days hence) in the AM. She asked questions about my vision, floaters, haze, various other questions. THAT is a GREAT front end! ]
