Traveling and my prescription sun glasses were in my suitcase when my suitcase was searched by TSA. Sadly they were damaged in the search. While the Airline is working to compensate me for this, I still had the urgent need of 1) glasses that needed adjustment from being bent out of shape 2) scratches that needed to be buffed out and 3) a new eyeglass case. In a town where I know no one I chose a national brand place to start with in my search of getting my sun glasses at least usable. I am visiting the desert after all. I stopped in here for those reasons. Colby Watts greeted me with calm, quiet professionalism. While he was not able to help me with the scratches issue he did, 1) recommend a place that might be able to help 2) adjusted my glasses so they fit once more 3) gave me a new eyeglass case all at no charge. I bought both my glasses and my sunglasses at LensCrafters. They were very helpful and very informative. Don't put your sunglasses in the overhead compartment in your car! Could do damage! Don't use the cleaner for your television on your glasses. Could damage the lenses! Love my glasses. Love LensCrafters. read more

1 year, 7 months! That's how long ago I paid nearly $500 for new lens and frames at Prescott's Lenscrafters! And now the UV and/or glare material on the lens is pealing off or coming off the lens. It creates a "spot" that you cannot see through and basically makes the glasses useless. I note that this can expand and contract as if it is somehow between some layer however it is expanding slowly and I must now go buy new lens... AND YOU CAN BET YOUR BOTTOM dollar it won't ever again be thru Lenscrafters! I researched this and do note that I am not the only one complaining of this 'separation' of materials on the lens but so far AFAIK no class action. Note, I am not discussing the staff or the opthomologist, just the QUALITY control and LENS creation. So that can ruin all the good work of staff! read more

Worst service ever! The store in Gateway Mall was not busy, no customers, we went planning on buying 2 pairs of new glasses. I had looked up the frames I wanted and the store had them in inventory. A elderly man approached us asking what we wanted. We showed him the frame, he checked the in-store display and said he did not have it. I asked him to check his inventory and he refused. He demanded that WE PROVE to him it was in their inventory. Actually, I think he was either too lazy to go check the inventory or too clueless to find it online. He was very argumentative and combative. Also, I asked him about LensCrafters ad matching policy, because I found the same pair cheaper at another store. He claimed that the company did NOT offer an matching program. I asked why and he rudely said: They don't. Never have, never will. By this time, we are fed up this with cranky, crabby, clueless and lazy salesperson and we walked out of the store. His rudeness, laziness and ineptitude lost a guaranteed sale. The office staff was friendly and the eye doc - a lady, I wish I could recall her name, was fabulous. She is there when Dr. Williams isn't, she told me. I had given LensCrafters a 1 star review for delaying the delivery of my new glasses in a more attractive frame. Well I wish to update that review. Yes the glasses took longer to arrive than I was told but Colby was friendly as well as professional when I did pick them up. I apologized for being a crabby old lady and he graciously accepted my apology and said my behavior was nothing compared to what he has endured. I felt like a jerk! I forgot how to be an understanding customer living in a retirement community where there is a high demand for glasses. Yes you may want longer than expected for glasses but it will be worth it. Amazing Service! I broke my glasses while traveling just outside of Prescott at 6:00 pm on Saturday. After finding this Lens Crafter location online I was able to get there shortly before they closed. They fixed my glasses free of charge in about ten minutes, just before they closed up. After using Costco for several years decided to try LensCrafters. Very, very disappointed. First I could not get in for an appointment for three weeks. After then going to the doctor's office they let a walk-in take my appointment so I sit there for a half hour waiting. First strike. The office manager advises that my eye exam will be covered by insurance since they will be looking at cataracts and will pay co-pay of 29. Now I get a bill for $110 so I wind up paying $139 for a 5 min office exam not with Dr. Williams who is convienently not there so I get some other flunky. Office manager lies. Strike 2. I get my glasses, really they are junk, not better than Costco, really crappy, cheap frames. So my advice-go to Costco, don't get ripped off. read more

We worked with the store manager Blaine who was excellent at customer service. The original glasses were purchased in Florida. Had a problem with the left lens. Tried to get it fixed in Florida but still having issues. Blaine took over an hour and did some measurements and explained why the lens was uncomfortable to read with. Customers need to understand more on how glasses are made in order to get the proper fit. As your eyes get weaker, the viewing area gets smaller. Blaine was superb in explaining and resolving the issue. Picked up the glasses today. They are great. read more

I bought my glasses at another clinic and the optometrist didn't fit my glasses properly. I thought I would try Lens Crafters. Paul Amero was the licensed optician today and he fixed the fit on them. He knows what he is doing and he didn't even charge me after I offered to pay him. He is also the sales mgr and he says that all of the employees are licensed and not just technicians or assistants. I will go to Lens Crafters next time for my glasses. read more

The office staff at this LensCrafters is totally incompetent. After 1 1/2 years of an office visit, I get a bill that states my insurance company rejected my claim. Come on now... it took them 1 1/2 years to get that back to me? At this point, I've changed insurance companies and cannot make any recommendation to re-examine my claim. It's crazy that it took them well over a year to get this back to me. I'll never go back to this office again. The office staff is rude and incompetent. Too bad.... This Lenscrafters, and the optometrist here as well are just the very best I've gone to in 20 years of wearing glasses. I walked into a competing chain in Flagstaff, had a horrible experience and got a bad prescription. I then drove all the way to Prescott and got an amazing prescription, great glasses, and all faster than the competition even could get my glasses made! I will be coming back here every time, and referring everyone I know. read more

This place saved my honeymoon. We traveled all the way to Sedona, AZ to view some of the most beautiful places in the country, and on my first day there, my glasses got scratched!! I was heartbroken, but I managed to call LensCrafters (about a 1.5 hour drive away), and they assured me that if I could get them my prescription, they could have me on my way that same day in a new pair. I had my prescription faxed to them and visited them in the morning. The staff there, knowing I didn't want to spend my honeymoon waiting in the mall for a new pair of glasses, assessed my prescription and selected a frame for me at lightning speed. I had a brand new pair of glasses in under an hour and was off to enjoy the rest of my honeymoon. I wish I could reward this place with repeat business, but if you live in the area, you should check this place out! read more
