I am a check in regular here however, I am also a glutton for punishment! Years ago I used to enter the store to shop. It wasn't always a pleasant experience. With the apathetic employees and just general volume of people. I may on occasion pop in to get seasonal decorations or garden supplies. Nowadays I use curbside pickup most times. As I write this I have been sitting in my car for a half an hour. I ordered seven items but, only two were delivered to my vehicle. The young man was very apologetic and went to grab my other items. He was very pleasant when he finally returned with my items. In my opinion, this location definitely needs more personnel. I suspect that the employees are overworked and just as frustrated as we customers are. read more

Pretty happy with this location. The store was very neat unlike some other walmarts I've been to. The self check out was very organized as well. It's very moderately sized as well. I was asked if I needed help when I needed items behind the glass. You don't wait longer than five minutes to be helped. I also appreciate how quickly the pharmacy fills the prescriptions. read more

This Walmart is Both a shitty place to work for and also to shop at. The store manager is always firing someone every week then will have a big hiring event. Rinse and repeat. Calls all the workers for lunch at the same time so nobody is left on the floor to help the customers. Most of the employees at Customer Service are nasty to the customers They lie about Walmart helping employees who are struggling with housing or who are homeless due to losing their homes . They lie about benefits and hiring bonuses just to make themselves look good to their bosses and supervisors . Smile in your face then fire twenty people the next week. Dozens of people have already been fired before the remodeling date even if they were just hired right before. My town has a fairly smaller Walmart in Uniondale. Its not your mega Walmart located a few towns over in Westbury but it does the job. The most of the improvement needed here is that there are never enough cashiers to keep up with the mass influx of customers or that the card machine always gives an issue. I use this Walmart as it is close to my home and serves most of my needs. Also all my order pick-ups and online orders are always met with satisfaction. The majority of the workforce are very young so I would always double check my orders but they're most courteous when needed for assistance. read more

Spacious parking lot shared with other stores in the area. Walking in, there is a map of the store which is helpful if items are in the section they are supposed to be located in. A bit crowded though and with high traffic with Walmart staff trying to stock goods but blocked the aisles both ways that it was a bit hard to get around. As a quick shopper, was able to get what I came for and other items weren't available or stocked at the time. Walmart prices are reasonable and less that other stores which is a plus. Easy self-check out process. If any issues, staff is there to help. read more

This Walmart is my go to when I need to pick up things in a hurry while getting my in laws prescriptions. I don't ever have a problem when picking up my meds. I call and the refill is ready when I get there. The staff are friendly and helpful. Regarding the store it sometimes needs to be a little bit more neat and tidy. read more

Not sure if we came on a bad day, but surprisingly they were out of stock on many items. Be mindful of the items packaged as bundles. It looks like a great deal but take notice of the price sold as one vs the bundled price. I've found many times that it's cheaper to buy individual vs bundled. Lots of congestion here in the parking lot. Restrooms could be cleaner. There was a bathroom needs service button, but it looks as if it were ripped from the wall. read more

I understand it probably was a busy morning for the store but no need to be rude.The cashier then kept piling up my items did not offer me a bag or let me know they were 5 cents. They need more cashier aisles open though because sometimes the wait is long. The parking lot is huge which comes in handy. This store is a disaster. Shelves were a mess and every main aisle was filled with half emptied pallets of merchandise (that was not being restocked) which only served to block customers If there was a manager they were nowhere to be seen. I remember when this Walmart first opened up. It's in a great location. It was clean, organized and had helpful employees. Now it's quite possibly the worse Walmart I've been to! Their products are never restocked, it is hard to get help with items (one employee was on her phone in the aisle) and the bathrooms are disgusting! I just left this Walmart feeling so disrespected. This is about an employee named Francine. My shopping experience was fine until I got to the register for checkout. As soon as we got to check out we watched this extremely disrespectful employee belittle the customers infront of us and call the woman STUPID. "What are you stupid" and then she said she's closing the register so she's not taking customers. She said we were the last ones. As we waited she was telling customers who stepped on the line behind us AND I QUOTE " no no no get out", "not happening", "go to register 8", " do you not see the sign it's not lit I'm closed get out of here" AND IT GETS BETTER.. she then tells me and my friend to start TELLING the customers to "get off the line" because she needs to help the lady that was having care issues and "doesn't have the patience for this" ..so for a full 15 min we watched her belittle the customer she was helping and others AND THEN US. SO my friend and I were politely telling customers the register is closed for a full 15 min. Then she finally takes us and she starts being so rude and telling us to hurry. My friend felt like she was having a bad day and tried to tip her $10.. she stares at my friend says give it to me over here, swipes it, and then grabs stuff and leaves. THE BEST PART: as I left and got my receipt checked the security guard or whoever checks receipts went "she looked like she was making you miserable" and I said YUP! Francine should be fired. I did a layaway, first I want to start by saying I called them to ensure they did layaway because not all Walmarts do. I spoke to the women over the phone who told me yes, they do but never told me that it was only for certain times. I approached the desk at 7:05 pm and was told layaway was only till 7 pm and they refused to do it. So, I came back the next day and did the layaway. Now, today Dec 9th my husband went to pick up the layaway, he arrived when they opened the layaway dept. Employees were rude, walked around as if they didn't want to be there and it took them over an hour to get our layaway (mind you it was my husband and 1 other person, waiting). UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!!!!! Once my husband got the layaway things were missing from the package. I will NOT being using them moving forward. Also, my mom and brother went yesterday to pick up their layaway and had similar issues with the lack of professionalism and super long wait times (2 1/2 hr wait time to pick up layaway). This review is specifically for Walmart in Uniondale on the night of 10/14/15 an employee by the electronics named Jerome. My dad had shoulder surgery and we needed a recliner stat. I had no idea that most furniture stores do not allow you to walk out with an item, rather you order it from their showroom and wait atleast a week... No time for love Dr. Jones! I needed it yesterday. I went online and saw Walmart had it at The Valley Stream location, I called there and was hung up on three times and then told it was exclusively online... I gave up but my mom called the Walmart in Uniondale and to our delight she spoke with Jerome! He found the chair over the phone and empathized with our situation, which was amazing customer service! When we walked in and went to the furniture section he recognized my mother by her voice and gave the friendliest reception I have ever received!! He even put it on some kind of lift and brought it with us to the cashier and to the front! He was friendly, approachable and looking for any way he could possibly help. I hate this Wal-mart normally, but Jerome has changed my tune. I wish I had a business because I would employ him in a second. Please promote him as he is an exemplary employee who really changed my negative opinion about the Walmart experience into a positive one! read more

I come here often because the store has great prices compared to a supermarket. I just left your store and I have to say most cashiers aren't that great. They really don't take the time to say thank you or hello or much of anything. The girl I had was fantastic. Very polite, bagged all my items, didn't just throw everything together in a giant mess. She was great. It comes appreciated because you come across many that work in a place dealing with customers and lots of times the workers aren't that great. When you're in customer service one of the hardest things is putting on that smiley face no matter the situation. People think it's easy but it's not. You put up with a lot. Being it was Superbowl Sunday i waited to do my shopping till 6pm so i wouldn't have to deal with crowds. This place has like nothing on the shelves. Not even talking about the food im talking about regular things. It was difficult to find anything the aisles were a mess. I guess i was in one workers way and instead of saying excuse me they blew a fucking horn at me and then started speaking spanish and laughing. WTF is that? so rude. I did get some help from a very nice gentleman with a beard who directed me to the candles i was searching for but of course they didn't have hardly anything in stock either. No one ever answers the phone in the order department. I placed an order on 12/21 around 8am and have been trying all day to get an update. The website says the order will be ready by 11:46am, its currently 5:10pm and still shows the same thing. Ok here it goes. Why shop here? I don't know. Other than the low prices there is no reason a sane person should shop here. I waited 10 plus minutes in the pickup area for someone to come and help. To me unacceptable. The signage on how to pick up a package is confusing. You have to push the little fee. Button on the payment machine to get somebody as well as check in using this big screen which was totally useless. Plus pickup is way in the back of the store hidden away. It took another customer who was also picking up a package to go and get help. Never having a package sent up that store again. On my way out I asked to speak to s manager. Told I'd have to wait on the customer service line which I did. Finally after a 5 min wait on the line I got to speak yo an assistant manager as I wanted to find out how the pickup system worked and why I had to wait so long for help. She rudely told me she couldn't help me I had and that I had to call the 800 number. I left went outside and called. They were helpful told me to call the store manager Jose the next day. The next day I called the store to speak to the manager only to be told he wasn't in. When I told them I was told to call the store put me on hold for 15 mins while they checked I was told that he was in fact in but he was busy they took my name and phone number and said he would call me back within three days. Very poor customer service. Did I mention what I picked up was a package of socks. Bottom line don't shop here go to Westbury or East Meadow they are better but hey it's still Walmart can't expect much Update. Absolutely horrible treatmen of a disabled vet . Been shopping here since it opened but no more. Convienve be dammed. Electric carts never work, no help at register, not even bagging purchase when i bring in my own bags.
