You have a cashier there by the name of tyneisha ( if I spelled that correctly) . She worked at this location a long time. Everyone seems to like her. I've witnessed her go above and beyond for customers. Shes even been helpful to me. I just have to bring this to someone attention. Ar least 4 times I've witnessed her asking customers for gifts. Now even if she's just kidding which from what I saw it didn't look like she was, she needs to stop begging customers for gifts. She work's there she gets paid abd that should be the end of it. Even if she's friendly with regular customers that come there all the time it doesn't give her the right. When I saw it this last time last week ( I just didn't have the time to post about it) It rubbed me the wrong way, enough is nought. I don't want her to get in trouble but she needs to be reprimanded about begging customers for gifts. Just ring people up and keep it moving. She is very good at that and she needs to stick with just that. read more

This pharmacy at Hempstead, NY, is an abomination to the Most High. First, they tell me that my prescription is out of stock. They send me on a wild goose chase to other pharmacies that supposedly had it in stock - they didn't. I used and paid for a search entity to locate it, and they did. Walmart pharmacy contacted Walgreens for the transfer and they refused to send it. Now, Walgreens is claiming that the prescription- a brand new one with a higher dose- had no refills so they cannot fill it. They changed the story because I attempted to transfer the prescription. There is no logic to that explanation and they have been playing games with my prescriptions for the past few months. I am out of there. This is the last straw. read more

I'm so disapointed, I asked doctor to send prescription to Walgreens pharmacy only because he was in pain and I wanted to pickup at drive true window. They closed the window because they were short staff but didn't think about disabled people who can't go ti the store. I was calling and trying to explain the situation but received cold answer that window is closed. read more

What a sweet job working at Walgreens in Hempstead, imagine getting paid to close the 24-hour store to the customers and still get your paycheck at the end of the week. That's exactly what Walgreen's in Hempstead do! I went there on several visit after 12 midnight and it was closed ..lights on, staff was there but doors closed to customers . did a follow up call the following day a man answered the phone and said they are open 24 hours.... really!!!! I told him I was there 2/3/2024 @ 1:00am along with several other people with their children and the doors were closed with the lights on... do you know what that man told me in response? he said (we always close when we are short staff) .... sounds like Hempstead management is making its own executive decisions regardless of Walgreen's headquarter rule that the store should be open 24 hours to the customers. I think its terrible how this pharmacy treats the community! read more

My husband MD ordered post open eye drops for him. 10 days later I am still waiting. The phone answering machine said it is out of stock, was ordered and should be ready the next day. 10 days later and he is still waiting. The staff is not very helpful and cannot give a direct answer. Customer service training is greatly needed read more

I had to get my medicine for my ear since Friday, the women at the counter claimed that my doctor's assistant was rude and that's why my medication could be ready..what do I have to do with that?. Came back Monday nothing..returned Thursday and there was a looong line. I have migraine because of my ear and did not want to be on the line so they deny my medication. read more

Although this is a 24 hour Walgreens, I don't agree with the inflated prices that they have and the lack of enthusiasm that the overnight employees display. The store is unorganized and the parking lot is a mess! And the four dollar price tag on a bag of ice is highway robbery but what are you going to do at 4:30 AM! read more

To be honest, the pharmacy is useless. If you need help just use google. The pharmacist they have is rude and doesn't directly answer questions. No one forced this individual to become a phamacist, idky they are there. So shop at the uniondale or another towns because they honestly could careless about paying customers. I drove up to the drive up window to get my prescription. Sat there unacknowledged for over 5 minutes. The highlight of that time was one of the workers looking at me and then going back to what she was doing without saying a word to me. I took that opportunity to start writing this review. I'm giving this Walgreens 3 stars solely based on the fact that even though the computer system was down & the line was insanely ridiculous, I was able to get my passport photo taken within 4 minutes & was able to skip the huge line at the front & ran to the pharmacy & payed in cash for my photos & ran out of the building. People were waiting in line with hands full of items complaining & raising raucous. I would never go to this location normally but since it was on the way to the post office where I needed to get to quickly before 5 pm to renew my passport, I stopped in. I'm thankful I was able to accomplish my goal & both stops were successful. However, the people who frequent this store like to make a lot of noise hooting & hollering when they don't get there way so I'll stick to my local CVS for my regular stops to the drug store. read more

The store pharmacy is very lackadaisical. My prescription was called in over an hour before I arrived and once I arrived it still wasn't ready. The pharmacist informed me that it was my doctors duty to remain on the phone once he called in the prescription to ensure they scan it in at that moment. Since he couldn't stay on the phone it was forgotten about. Go to another pharmacy and call to make sure they know about you. read more

This Walgreens is absolutely disgusting. I had to go to the bathroom and this Spanish employee comes out of the bathroom. You need a code to go in , so I asked her she goes yeah and walks away. I asked her for the code to go in the bathroom and she's says to "Hold On". Who the hell wants to hold on when they have to actually use the bathroom? So she went into another room and I'm waiting. Nothing so I bang on the door and she's like "didn't I tell you to wait?" What the actual f. How can I possibly wait when I have to use the bathroom??? I can't control that. Been a customer on behalf of my minor son who is on psychotropics for over 6 years. His dad passed 1/4/14. He worked for the county.Insurance lapsed for a couple of weeks without my knowledge. Went to pick up monthly meds,nd,got the gist. Made calls,ran over to 240 old country rd,comptrollers office,and got it rectified yesterday after work. They tried in vain to call Walgreens to give me some pills for the weekend till paperwork goes through by Monday,Walgreens was not picking up.i came home called Walgreens,gave them information over the phone from comptrollers office,and,expressed concern for my son being without risperdal nd celexa for days was told the pharmacist will be notified and to come by the pharmacy for some pills for the weekend. I just went there and some rude asian adult man at the drive through appeared frustrated with me,kept repeating my son doesn't have insurance,refused to listen,and,rolled his eyes twice at me in frustration. I am the mother of a minor dependent on meds, lacking meds for days now,bouncing off the wall,,,how am I supposed to feel?. I just drove off. Will be writing letters/ reports tonight .
