I received a notification that I had scripts ready for pickup as part of the automatic refills. I am disabled and had my spouse go to pick them up. What had to be refrigerated I put away and the rest I didn't look at right away. When refilling my pill dispenser I noticed that the medication he picked up I did not need right away. But when I looked at the label the dosage was incorrect. My Dr changed it to a lower dosage which I had picked up a month or so ago so this medication should have been deleted and replaced with the new one. I paid $10 for the wrong medication and can not get my money back or get a credit for the current one when it is due. I have to pay for their error because they can't take it back. I can understand that they can't take it back but I should get a credit when ready for a refill. I did request this medication. It was on their automatic refill. They just put it in the bag and handed it to me. If I could I would give them 0 stars. I am retired and $10 is a lot of money which I will have to spend again later this month for a refill read more

Claudette was the rudest pharmacist I've ever had the displeasure of interacting with. I called from a hospital on behalf of my patient and immediately was met with an attitude with teeth sucking and overly dramatic sighing. When calling her out on her attitude she refused to transfer me to anyone else and hung up on me. I had to follow up with corporate to get help for my patient. This is specifically for the pharmacy at this location. Went with my wife so she can take her flu shot. Went in at 8am and stood in the line that is marked for fly shot check ins. Some one attended to us quite quickly. She began to ask question to fill out their paperwork. Then she said that she can't do this and called the pharmacist over. The line of questioning started over. My wife has a CVS card specifically for flu shots. She asked them to take the information off the card. Then the pharmacist asked why we are here. That proved it for me that he isn't paying attention. Was given a form to fill out. The form matched all the question asked. The name and address was incorrect. Noted that to the pharmacist, he fixed the name but not the address. Couldn't bother any more. Took the shot recieved paperwork. No reason to go here. Don't go here unless its slow and the self pay is open. read more

Worst customer service from this pharmacy takes days of calling and calling to get anyone on the phone even after all the prompts

Not quite sure what happened to this location but I used to love coming into CVS and it has now become an annoyance. Which might actually be good for my pockets but I kinda used to love roaming the aisles looking for deals and buying stuff I didn't think I needed. My main problems are the lack of employees and organization. The lines are always long as hell -- omg! And there always only seems to be one cashier; maybe two if you're lucky. The cashiers are always slow and almost never seem like they actually get paid to work here. The biggest annoyance of it all-- the damn pharmacy! Omggggg get it together people! They either can't handle the amount of people they're servicing or they're just being cruel. The lines go all the way back into the end of the aisles. They never have my prescription ready either. Every time I refill my prescription on the cvs app I get a confirmation there and then it's never actually processed. I had to woosah a couple of times before I cursed someone out-- extremely frustrating. Today the line looked like it was going to take at least 25 minutes. I walked out and said I'm going to the drive thru and guess what?! One car in front of me and I was gone in 5 minutes. Like what the hell? Now I will forever be at the drive thru because I can't deal with the mess inside. read more

Came here with my co worker to pick up her prescription. We waited 1/2 hour on the drive thru pharmacy line with with 1 car ahead of us waiting at the window. We then waited about 10 mins ourselves. It was a little insane considering the "convenience' of a drive thru. She explained the wait is always like this at the pharmacy even inside. They can obviously use some help. I honestly wish I could give 0 stars. The way I was spoken to over the phone at this location was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. He was very rude to my mom who was trying to help me. Then the man on the phone told me I was "driving him up a wall" and that he was losing patience with me when I kept calling back (even though he was the one who told me to call him back if I was still having issues!!). Not to mention I was put on hold for over a half an hour, and multiple people I have talked to about this location have had the same issue. No one should be spoken to the way I was spoken to, ESPECIALLY since I never spoke to him that way leading up to it. read more

I'm sorry to agree with most of the negative reviews, but it is absolutely spot on. I can't blame the staff entirely. It could be a reflection of the times, or the small bad element in the area. A lot of theft goes on at this location and the mentality of the customers sometimes can be very low class, but that is still no excuse for the store to be running like this. sometimes I have to wait 45 minutes at the drive-through to pick up prescriptions with only four or five cars in front of me. Going inside to pick up can be even worse with people, sneezing and coughing and waiting for over 30 minutes at a time. Some of the staff are very helpful while others don't seem to care at all, and go out of their way to make sure you understand that they do not care. I would never wish this location to be closed but maybe independent ownership would bring the standard up. In the past year, I have opted to receive my prescriptions online but unfortunately some prescriptions need to be picked up at my local CVS, which I will be changing immediately. I hope in the future things will change and I can return to this store. For the rest of you out here with limited choices. Good luck, my friends. read more

Purchased a 6 ounce Hershey's Snack Mix container at this CVS. The aluminum foil that hermetically seals the top of the container was punctured. Reading the other reviews of this place, I wouldn't be surprised if some disgruntled customer took the container off the shelf, ate half of it and put it back on the shelf. Can I please leave your pharmacy in under an hour??? Haven't you had my prescription for days? Why doesn't it ever get better? Morning, noon and night... Same song. Every single time I come here my meds aren't ready and I need to wait 20 mins after already spending 25 minutes on the "pick up" line. So today I decided to "drive thru ". The store is brand new and clean. Pretty much like any other CVS. There is a drive thru for the pharmacy which is nice. The pharmacists are very helpful. I would have given it 4 stars except there is a security guard at the entrance which makes wonder about the kind of people who frequent the place. Called back was on hold for another 15 min only to have them tell me there is nothing they can do with an attitude. This is by far the slowest and the worst CVS I have ever been to. It is ghetto, understaffed and poorly organized. When you call you are on hold over 1 1/2 hours before even getting someone to pick up the phone. Then when they pickup, they hang up on you. Waiting on line rather short or long takes FOREVER! I am surprised on some of the bad reviews that I see some people are writing, because I have been using CVS in Hempstead for a long time and I have always been helped with a smile. There is a time a little long wait and that depends on the time you go but I do understand that the workers have only two hands and we must be patient. I guess some people are taking the frustration out on the workers due to either insurance company not covering the copay or doctor not sending the right medication order or something. Called for some prescription if they have for somebody going on hospice and asked me to do math? Aren't they supposed to do that? So I said I am asking if you have so the doctor can send the prescription to you. I told the pharmacist if she is?? Still wants me to do math with what they have. I told her its 10 mg 3x a day as needed. If they have 20 mg per 10ml obviously too less and how many do they have if a bottle is just 10 mls? She wants me to do math and told me am not getting it. Although in the meantime that 20 mg per 10ml would have been enough for the night until other pharmacy will have it in stock. She just told me then we don't have it. A pharmacist who can't just figure out. A pharmacist really???? If that's my job would have been more helpful! If you have a lazy staff, not surprised. read more
