My opinion of Wal-Mart is low to begin with, but this place is terrible. I was there the day that this Wal-Mart opened. It was this huge bright, beautiful mecca of low prices! That lasted all of 2 weeks... Soon it came to smell of urine and churros. Then they removed the churros and crane game arcade machines. Now it has the smell of funky low class people. I'm a working class guy myself, however, other than low prices, nothing here appeals. The store is very dirty, very disorganized and full of screaming children. If you really need the item, take a deep breath of polluted valley air and run in. I suggest going straight to the item. You'll need Barry Sanders style moves to avoid the isle grazing cows and their 15 children. Finally, grab your item and go to the express checkout. Good luck. read more

This weekend I had bought two new tires from Walmart and had them put on from there Auto Care Center. Even though they are very shorthanded right now the guys working there are being very friendly and helpful. I always go to Walmart to get my oil change and tires. I have been there a few times with the one tech name Remy has always been very helpful and friendly. He makes me feel he's doing a extra special job for me. Unfortunately one of my tires kept on losing air. My husband had to come back from driving to work and go back to Walmart. Being shorthanded made the time they said they be done was incorrect. I called to talk to the tech about that. I did talk to the lady at the desk. She did listen to what I said and was nice enough to give me the store manager Leo. The store manager listen to my complaint, and did take care of me where I was happy. Tony, the manager in the auto department who is the final person talking care of my husband and myself, even with my complaint they were very helpful and friendly. Their automotive center is nothing but a joke here. They changed my battery and did not leave my car running or charging... basically my car would not relearn it's idling (aka the computer). As a result, it kept stalling upon starting it up and turning the A/C. I waited an hour and a half for them to service my vehicle and only one car was ahead of me. They couldn't even charge my car KNOWING that "some cars have to relearn their idles". It kept stalling even after I let my car run at home for twenty or so minutes with it in park then with my foot on the brake and gas petal. I finally had enough and took it back, the manager said it wasn't the battery or anything they did, it was simply something else making the car act like that. SURE: maybe it is something else - BUT- my car never did that before they touched it! They rubbed it off and just cleaned the terminals and said it was my A/C compressor doing all of this. I called another automotive shop and told them what was going on and they told me to drive it for ten miles with the A/C on and if that did not help with the idling and stalling to bring it in and they'll do a diagnostic of the car. That advice there helped so much. He also said that he usually DRIVES HIS CLIENTS CARS TEN MILES SO THEY DO NOT HAVE TO GO THROUGH THIS SITUATION AS I DID. That shop has my business. Walmart Automotive does not go the extra mile for their customers- they're a joke. Besides Loraine, she was the only down-to-earth employee there that made my experience bearable. Only one employee who works in the "pick up online orders" department is ever helpful. She has gone above and beyond for me. It is just depressing going into this place. The atmosphere is utterly Stygian. Like any other Walmart, it is a haven for hillbillies and very low class people. Unfortunately, that also fits the staff. I would not be surprised if I seen Frankenstein stocking the shelves. Be that as it may. The management (Yes, I did have the displeasure of meeting the Gargoyle of the manager) and the employees are extremely insulting and rude. I had even one "woman" stare me down when she didn't want to take back a $5 dollar return that I had. Walmart is not my favorite place to shop but this one is the absolute worst. This troubles me to say because normally I would have never had this issue before here but all of sudden there has been numerous problems. These past two weeks I have tried to go in and get a phone screen cover for my phone from the electronic department in this store and both times I had an issue. The first time the worker kept helping everybody before me even though I tried to ask her for help and then waited in line to ask her for help. I ended up having to leave that day too instead of getting my item. This week I went in and thankfully got it but another worker that normally works in that department had to come and help the worker I was actually with because there were issues with the computers and rather than trying to fix the issue she instead blamed me for the issue and racially profiled me whenever I was waiting and giving suggestions for help as anybody would. She did not help the situation at all and in fact made it worse by just leaving us but I'm thankful she wasn't the one to check me out. I'm not going to name names but this company needs to work on their customer service and that store has hazards down every aisle when people are trying to shop as well. It is a hazardous and unsafe store. You guys judge your customers before reading the situations for what they are instead of listening and actually assessing the situations for what they need to be. read more

My boyfriend went into this Walmart tonight to do a return and was treated so poorly by some ugly, red headed kid named Corbin for absolutely no reason. Not only did he talk to my boyfriend like he was beneath him he also refused to do his return because the receipt wasn't in the best condition (it was accidentally thrown away) so we left and went to the Ceres Walmart and were behind the same people in line we were behind at the Turlock store who's return was also refused by this little boy. Ceres said as long as they could read the TC # on the receipt then they would be happy to do our return! Turlock management, you really need to give your employees a "How To Treat Customers" course because this isn't the first time we've had problems with your rude employees. It's ridiculous! read more

I brought my vehicle in for an oil change and the mechanic that was doing the oil change really messed up my vehicle. He could not get the oil filter loose for starters. He gave up on the oil change and sent us to Balswicks oil and tube up. On our way to Balswicks, we lost our oil and the mechanic that changed the oil at Balswicks informed me that the oil pan drain plug was almost all the way out. He also informed us that the air filter cover was not put back on and locked down properly. We went back to Walmart to speak with a store manager not a customer service manager and he all but accused us of lieing about the whole ordeal at Walmart. In the end, it ended up costing almost 30.00 dollars more for the oil change than it would have at Walmart. The only thing the store manager did for us was give us a 50.00 dollar gift card for our inconvenience. I would definitely not recommend anyone taking their vehicle to the Walmart on fulkerth in Turlock for an oil change. It's always better to pay more and get great service than to have to pay for repairs due to negligence. read more

Today I was waiting in line at Walmart. They were practicing social distancing while they were checking people out. However it was taking an extremely long mount of time to check people out. My wife moved up in line and was asked by one of the cashiers to step back due to social distancing. However, no one in the store was truly social distancing. My wife noticed this and started to point out Walmarts discrepancies. No one was standing 6 feet apart in the lines or while checking out. No hand sanitizer at the front door. No one wiping down the carts at the front door. Not even following the appropriate social distancing guidelines to protect others from COVID-19. Let's actually talk about the fact that droplet nuclei can travel a distance of 12 feet. If this is true then no one since the beginning of COVID-19 has practice social distancing correctly. The line eventually opened up after my wife pointed out to the manager that in between each checkout station was over 6 feet apart. My wife also pointed out that we had been standing in line over 30 minutes without anyone noticing or assisting those who had handicapped. The one Thing overlooked during Covid were the handicap people making them walk extra distances without the ability to properly handle their handicaps. If Walmart wants to continue with this even after they have opened up they need to provide appropriate standards throughout their practice. They did read more

Automotive is horrible have been there twice to have my oil changed. Will not return again. Each time maybe one or two cars in front of me. Told an hour wait and ends up being 2 2 1/2 hours this is crazy first time car was on rack and they went on break. Second time car was on rack and they told me it went off computer screen and they didn't know what it was there for. Really are you that stupid that you just let the car sit there. read more

Yes I agree that the toilets are always a mess, but you have to consider who shops at Wal-mart. Most of the customers are filthy, trashy, and inconsiderate people. Park, go in through garden center, walk directly through back aisle to fabric section, browse VERY quickly, get stuff measured and cut , proceed to check out in garden center and get the hell out! I see so many comments about the people who shop there and how trashy they are...This can be true, however, this isn't the store's fault. When there are low prices, there are going to be low income shoppers! However, dear Wal-Mart, what is your excuse for low class, ignorant, unprofessional staff? There is no excuse for a staff member on the floor to tell me that it isn't their department or they don't know but not offer to get someone who does know. There is no excuse for them to talk about their booze filled weekend while ringing up my items and there sure as hell is no excuse for butt crack sally to reveal herself while stocking the lowest shelves in the pet aisle. JUST THROWING IT OUT THERE! Let's get down to business. The other day I ordered pictures off of their website and had to wait more than a week to have them shipped to the store since their printers aren't working. Fair enough, I understand that things don't always work as they should. I received a text saying they were ready and had to wait a few days before picking the pictures up but was excited once I did get the chance to stop by and pick them up. I approached the photo center and gave them my last name, the gentleman at the desk was nice enough. He flips through the S's until he finds mine and hands me the pack of pictures; as I flip through them (as I usually do) I realized I was missing an entire chunk of pictures. I ordered 150 pictures and there were only 50 in the pack, once I told the gentleman this he looked through the entire drawer and had no luck. He then called a different guy and asked him where it could be, the other guy said he had no idea and they began to bicker. Guy #2 finally said "dude you know this has happened more than once".....What did I just HEAR?! Never ever ever expose your flaws to customers EVER! They begin to ask a different co-worker who also had no idea....They were speaking to each other as if any of them could possibly remember me and my photos just by my last name. There are SO many people who develop pictures there. They looked like a bunch of children looking through drawers and bickering. Finally the girl came up to me rudely and said "sorry we can't find the pictures but we'll go ahead and just charge you for the 50". WOW LADY LOOK AT YOU DOING ME A SOLID! You're only going to charge me for 50 of the 150 pictures because you lost most of my pictures? GUEST RECOVERY AT IT'S ABSOLUTE FINEST! I kept calm and told her that it wasn't right for them to charge me since they're the ones who messed up and it was a complete inconvenience especially since I had to go back to my office and re-order the missing prints since it was for a work project. What does the little bundle of joy tell me ? She'll take 10% off of the price, but that's all she can do. Uhhmmmmmm....Does this sound right at all? Shuh-no! I just swallowed my frustration and paid. I would rather pay extra at Target than deal with these people ever again. (Wal-Mart's getting pricey anyway). She didn't even offer a discount on my next order. The old man cleaning the floor actually yelled at me when another walmart worker asked if he can grab it for me (when his old butt was standing directly in front of it) NO!!! WE CLOSED!!! Went by this store today. Upon entering I was shocked to see this place and it's advertisements. Above the entire freezer section there are over 12 neon beer signs. This place looks like a bar not a family store. After approaching the manager and stating my thought he replies by stating they sell beer. Yes I know on the other side. It's too bad this store feels that 99% of their advertisements need to be alcohol related. This place needs to get its priorities straight. ....honestly don't think it's as "ghetto" as people make it out to be lol.. the store is always pretty well organized which I can appreciate. It's pretty big so you will find basically anything you can think of there like any other large walmart. The only issue I have with this store are the employees !! There are definitely some very polite and helpful people working there don't get me wrong. BUt I kid you not on more than one occasion when I have come to this specific store I have heard employees arguing with one another and being straight up catty, childish, and disrespectful to a fellow coworker. It is so ridiculous and so careless how they would speak to another employee like that in front of a customer like it is nobody's business . I have also asked for help a few times and been told to wait while they get someone from that department over to help me and nobody has showed up, I have even went and asked a second employee the same thing and been told to wait again while nobody shows up after several minutes. Soo yeah they get two stars for 75% of their employees being terrible. And their grocery department is a bit disappointing compared to other Walmart's that I have been to so I would recommend doing major grocery shopping at one of the many supermarkets nearby . read more
