After setting up a battery checkup appointment a day in advance for a Saturday 9:00 AM, I arrived early (at the Super Wall Mart on Augusta in West Columbia, SC). At first Connie the customer service rep at the Auto Care Center announced that the battery that I had purchased could be replaced because it could not crank enough power. The mechanics had confirmed this. But then she said that the mechanics in the Care center "could not replace the bad battery with a free battery because the mechanics could not "move parts from the top of the engine". Furthermore my auto care appointment had ended. The end result was that another customer and I had to buy tools because they would not allow us to borrow any tools. We replaced the battery successfully. We were 35 feet outside the Car Care doors at the infamous Super Wall Auto Car Care center. To top of this great customer service experience I then had to show my personal ID (South Carolina DL) to get the receipt and paperwork for this "excellent service". I will not ever go back to ANY Walmart anywhere forever. read more

Sign says open at 7 get here no-one is here 712 still no-one finally 715 someone shows up and i am told they cannot get me a new tire and put it on until they have two workers and they are not in until 8 ‍‍‍ ill wait they will not even check me in until the second person is here so here i wait how can Walmart even think customer service is even anywhere near good let alone somewhat good just horrible. read more

I purchased Walmart+ in May 2023 to order same day grocery deliveries with no fees. I have only been able to receive two small orders. All orders over eight items have initially been delayed, then eventually cancelled after two days. The manager in charge of deliveries, the store managers, and the corporate office isn't helpful. Walmart+ has been a useless purchase. My tips have always been high. Disabilities keep me from leaving the house. read more

This location is closest to my house. I've lived here for most of my life, and have been going to this location since it first opened. I have to say, over the years, HUGE decline. I went in today to get some baby items. I saw several staff members up front to stock the season items, but were talking with each other and a few were on their phones. Extremely unprofessional. There are pallets of unstocked items all over the place and they usually stay that way. Anytime I have to buy electronics, I go to 378 store. This stores electronics staff is unbearable. They always act like they don't want to be there and don't have time for me even when they aren't busy or doing anything else. Lastly, self checkout is a joke. I do the work to check myself out, while the employee watches me (doing very little unless a register has an issue. ) and the door greater STILL accosts me about a receipt. If you offer a discount, I'll self check out all the time. Otherwise, I'm going to be the guy that waits it out in a cashiers line. I'll return here, but only for where it's located. read more

I was at Walmart trying to get help unlock a cabinet in the toothbrush area. I flagged down a Walmart associate name latavia to unlock a cabinet and she told me that she had no key and I would have to walk to customer service to get help, which she could of done for me. Luckily I found a nice lady in the next isle who opened it for me, which I wish I caught her name. Ty for helping me. read more

We didn't spend much time in the store itself. We came to the tire center to get new tires for my niece's car. The service center guys were helpful. The tires were less expensive than other places we have been to. It didn't take long to change them since there weren't many customers ahead of us. But they do charge a tire disposal fee if they keep the tires. We weren't made aware of this fee. My aunt found out about it when she was reviewing her receipt. I just think that's something that should be disclosed to the customer. read more

Been here three times in 2 Days, everything we needed we got. Fast in and out. Great location, plenty of parking, no complaints.

Went there to get groceries with my roommates, everything was off-the-shelf including the scrub daddy we desired. There was a lot of other packaging that was left scattered about not sure where the employees were but that became a trend, it took several hours for us to find everything and then at least 30 minutes to check out. The Walmart had a McDonald's in it which I guess is a plus because you may be waiting in line for so long that you want to stop to get a bite to eat. Very nice woman told me that I could check out with her at the jewelry counter, it was only after I had left a line and lost my spot that I was told that because I had fruit in my cart she could not check me out. That was a learning experience. All in all in all the 2 star review I'm giving this Walmart is extremely generous. I only hope the neighborhood market fares better than this. read more

Came to Walmart to get my 8 month old daughter some formula because she old had enough for one more bottle I get there 20 minutes before the store closes i go to walk in and they tell me they are closed I tell them I need to get formula for my child and the still turned me away absolute worst Walmart I've ever been in read more

If I could give this place negative stars I would. This is the absolute worst Walmart in South Carolina. Can't even get a manager to help a customer. All employees should know how to run every department that way you can provide assistance to all your customers. What a joke this Walmart is. Shelves are always empty so no need for a list. You might get 3 out of 25 items on it. Takes you longer to checkout than it does to shop?

This store almost never offers a pleasant shopping experience. You never know what they won't have in stock. Long checkout lines even to the self check area. I long ago gave up asking the staff for help. They rarely know enough to help you. Not their fault. Morale seems to be low. Working at Walmart must be a miserable job and it is rare to encounter a happy employee. I don't feel unsafe here but I know what it must feel like to be a cow in a stockyard. Moo! read more

This location need a good rehab but you still can find the products you want.The store is crowded 98% of the time due to the location right near the Interstate and near the airport.AS holiday madness approaches be prepared to look for parking and shopping carts both will be spare. It's clean and about as organized as a busy store like this can get.The staff is 85% friendly so depending on the time of day...Overall my shopping in this Walmart has been good.with me dropping in the store all kinds of hours I have seen the best and the not so best. read more

This is the best Walmart I've been to. There are so many toys, clothes and art supplies that are not stocked in any surrounding Walmarts! Huge store with beachy vibe. The lines are pretry long but the selection is worth it! read more

This walmart is always very busy and a slow process, but it tends to have everything you need if you can manage to find it. My issues are that it's a very long process trying to buy anything and that I don't really feel safe in the parking lot alone here. read more

Shirley did an amazing job checking me out today, however we were having some trouble getting my card to work. I am very disappointed and upset in which the manner her, i believe manager, "barb", didn't have her Name tag visible, spoke to her. Shirley simply asked for her help with the trouble we were having, and barb spoke to her in a very rude, condescending and demeaning tone all in front of me, the customer, and didn't even attempt to speak to me once. Don't come here on Sunday. Standing in line for over 20mins all because the cashier wants to have a full blown conversation with someone opposed to checking them out. Unbelievable. The people don't even have many items to purchase but the cashier chooses to run her mouth. On top of that, less than 10 registers are open, which I already know is typical for a Sunday in Walmart. Disclaimer: I love shopping at Walmart. I really do. They have amazing deals. But most of the staff are rude and extremely unhelpful at this location. The one exception is some guy named John who went WAY out of his way to help us out even though he was in the wrong section. Serious props to him, but I wouldn't be surprised if he got yelled at by a manger for spending too much time interacting with customers. One time my girlfriend left her purse in a cart in the parking lot. As we were rushing back, I called to inform them what happened and where it was to see if someone could grab it before it got stolen or something. She "transferred" me to someone else. There was nothing but silence for a full 7 minutes before I hung up. Luckily we were able to retrieve it. Just in case she told someone, I called and said we found it. She said she was transferring me to someone else and I got silence. Again. I hung up after 4 minutes. read more

If I could give this Walmart zero stars, I would. Terrible customer service, poor stocking - overall the worst Walmart I have ever patronized. But that's not even the main reason why I give it one star. I literally downloaded the Yelp! app for the sole reason of warning people against this Walmart's Tire and Lube Center. I recently took my car here for an oil change. A simple oil change. Not exactly rocket science. But apparently to the idiots at this Walmart, it was. Or maybe they just can't tell 3.9 quarts from 5. That's right. They overfilled my car's oil by more than an entire quart. If I hadn't noticed when I did, their brainless mistake could have cost me my car. But it gets better. When I returned my car to the store to ask that they fix their mistake and refund my money for their shoddy work, I was met with arrogance and disbelief by both employees and management. One employee informed me that my plight was "not her problem." The manager treated me with blatant disrespect and refused to admit that they had made a mistake. I had to show him the proper oil level in my car's manual before he grudgingly conceded. The manager was curt but more polite when he refunded my money and gave me his card so I can contact him if I have engine troubles in the next few months. If I do, it will undoubtedly be the fault of the incompetency of this Walmart Tire and Lube Center. read more

I have been to many Walmart's in my life and when went to this Walmart in South Carolina, now I think that this is the worst Walmart in South Carolina. The people or employees are rude. Well except for some employees. To me it seems like all of the Walmart's never open all or half of their checkout lines. I got mad once and went to the manager to ask if she can get more lines open. She said I can't do that. I had to wait because I had something important in my cart. All of the express lines are open. If you have 20 items or less than go here. What if you have groceries, well you can't go there. Last Christmas they " PROMISED " that they would open more lines and they really did not it was about 3 more lines open that day.
