I love Walmart! Their deals are great & I ALWAYS save when I shop here compared to other places however this location I don't think I will be returning to. It's way too crowded and I hate to say it but ghetto and unruly and there's trash literally every where in the parking area. I ordered online and went there for store pickup. The lady at the customer service told me that my order "is not here" even though the email says ready for pick up. She said sorry it seems like we lost it!!!!?!???? She said it with a SMILE as if she is telling me " Enjoy your day, we don't have your stuff". Completely chaotic !!! The staff is nonexistent and when they're finally found, they aren't helpful at all. This place is hugeeeee. Walmart and its prices gets 5 stars however this location is just such a mess. There's about 20 registers maybe even more plus self check out however, there's always 2-5 registers opened. I have a love hate relationship with this place!! It's located near Green Acres Mall where this location covers the area of Queens, Brooklyn as well as Long Island making this location constantly BUSY, over crowded as well as always hard to find parking! I came here recently very early in the morning to avoid the crowds and as I intended it was not overly crowded at 9:30 am. The place was still nicely organized still and no long lines at all. The workers that work here on the other hand are very UNPROFESSIONAL! You have one worker on their phones, while others just simply do not want to do their jobs at all! When you ask an employee that works their some can be friendly and MANY of them are very rude if you ask them a question. This place is my last resort place, where I would only stop there if I don't feel like driving that far. Trash. Trash, trash, trash. Always thought that this was another trash pit of Long Island. Customer service is non existent, all the employees are miserable. They'll purposely disregard you and when asked a question will always forward it to someone else. People are always closing their register because they're "tired" and want to go home meanwhile their shift ends 30mins from then and they're literally leaning over at the register, not even BSing on the floor pretending to do something. Obviously the managers don't care. Every time I go I hear "I wanna go home" and whining, I ask how long they've been there..."3 hours" Smh nobody is forcing you to be miserable and when I come here after work I don't want to hear you complain about working when I just came from my 11 hour shift. Customers are animals, letting their kids roam free, running around, SCREAMING. Everyone's always driving like an idiot in the parking lot, fighting for parking. Every time I go I'm scared that someone's going to hit my car where it's parked and almost get hit walking to the store, even walking with a lot of caution. People that go there for the most part don't have manners and will shove you or block you out of aisles. I left this separately because the review is based on service not the customers, but if you want to know the whole deal, my suggestion is to not even bother with the uncivilized population of this Walmart and just go to one further into Long Island. Ordered perfume on their site. Promised within 5 days. Got tracking number. Did not show up 5 days. Received another email that said another 3 days. Did not arrive. I check tracking number. Wrong tracking number! Called Walmart and they have no idea where it is! Said I order it through a 3rd party???? I said no. I demanded a refund and they said someone else has to refund my money!!! Always understaffed. Items in store are not well stocked. I use the Order Online and Pickup at store service because the prices online is cheaper than the store for the same item and I do not have the option to have the items delivered to my home. I don't go to the store right after ordering. I only get the confirmation email stating my order was received and that I will receive another email later when my order is ready to pick up. Three days later, still have not received an email. Nobody is at Pickup counter. Only one employee. UGH. read more

On cyber Monday I order a deep freezer , I ask the person on the phone do they deliver to the house and not curbside they tell me yes. My delivery day is a week away Dec. 9, I don't get a confirmation call and after waiting half the day I call. Earlier that morning I got a confirmation of Dec 9th. When I call customer service I get someone in a foreign language repeating everything I say to her . She can't find the order for awhile then finally she says my order was delivered Dec 10. I tell her it. Couldn't be delivered already because that's tomorrow date . After some back and forth I realized whatever time zone she's it's tomorrow. To make it worst fedex is going to bring it an I don't think they bring it inside. Walmart customer service lies and it sucks.its back to Costco for me. First time being at a Walmart in a very long time. While it is like any other typical big box stores, I feel this one was really disorganized. Ridiculously crowded every time I've come here. It's ALWAYS like it's Black Friday here. Shelves are always barely stocked. Employees with carts of returns or pallets of items will almost just push you out of the way (not even an "excuse me"). I have to park far away, then search for a cart because there are never any at the entrance. If it says online they have it in this store...you can almost guarantee that when you get there they don't have it. This is the only Walmart nearby the five boroughs and right outside the mall so it's always very crowded. Next closest Walmart is by Roosevelt Field. You likely won't find everything you need here if you're looking for something in the pharmacy or beauty aisle, things run out quick. I feel bad for the workers since things are often a mess in those departments. Long long checkout, disorganized and no room to wait on line or walk around people waiting on line. All lines curve around, no straight lines. Nothing but carts and seniors and kids blocking every checkout. The stock people are nice, if you ask them to look for something they will, but the cashiers are often rude. One cashier at checkout 21 acts like she's TSA, inspects carts, doesn't want people touching their own items and bagging. She prefers to do everything on her own. She lifts everything out of carts to see if you stole something. We once took a cart with an item in it and she accused us of stealing. Since we stock up every month or so we tend to spend $200-300 worth in one trip and she has the nerve to accuse us of stealing a barely $1 item. This rude TSA wannabe cashier also mis-bagged some items so when we left the store we lost a glass jar of salsa since she didn't double bag. It fell out and broke on the street. Yes, walmart is awesome for having extremely low prices but this place is a ZOO. On any given day this walmart is over crowded with lack of staff and messes all over the place. There are plenty of crying children and clothes thrown everywhere. (There's a nice one on Old Country Road in Westbury). If you want to raise your blood pressure, deal with crying children and ridiculously long lines not to mention insane driving in the parking lot (and no close parking ever) then come to this Wal-Mart. How is this place still in business?! After the Black Friday Stampede killed an employee, this place should have been condemned. Haven't been to this store in years because it is just down right grimy. Parking is horrendous, customer service is non-existent and some how, the place is packed from open to close. When a Walmart first budded up in Valley Stream, smart shoppers like me relished the savings and the enormity of the store. Target was a stone throws away, but Walmart always out shined in the price department. Unfortunately, it went down hill almost the minute it opened. I was doing some competitive pricing on a certain item I needed (online) and found Walmart had the best price. On a good note, Walmart offers shipping to a location close to you and you can pick it up. Saves the shipping charge, just pay sales tax. That is a Walmart thing. I am rating this BRANCH. Getting into the store alone is a trip. I am attributing it to lazy, rude shoppers who must find the closest parking spot. Lets just chill in the fire zone until a close spot opens. Who cares if I am blocking a fire zone or where it is painted clearly NO PARKING. Pet peeve maybe, but it makes it hard to cross the street without practically being clipped. OK here we go. As you walk in, you feel the craziness. Watermelon on sale, just go to the boy's/men's clothing section. OK. I had a short list of things to get on this outing: 1. Item I ordered via the Internet 2. Cork Screw 3. Plastic storage container 4. Yoga mat The ladies department me is right there when you walk in and I saw bathing suits. I am going on vay-cay so I decided to browse. All tops, no bottoms. Poor selection. Whatever. On to what I came here for... I roamed the aisles looking to cross something off my list. It seemed there were more employees than I have ever seen at a store, but none can help me. Interesting. I waited on three different lines after I basically walked up and down every aisle. They had a "Sporting Goods" section were I found the yoga mat. A lone cashier station was there waiting so I figured you had to pay there. The cashier had to finish texting someone and complained to me how long his day has been. One item down three to go. I inquired about picking up my online purchase and he did instruct me where to go. The store itself I think maybe undergoing renovations because there bare walls, limited products and basically little organization. Very run down. Found a plastic bin in a random area, not even close to its' siblings. Grabbed that and headed over to the Customer Service area to pick up my online purchase. Desk was empty, waited as countless employees walked past and ignored me (break room is right there.) Finally, after the line was noticeable behind me, an employee emerged. Obviously, my presence pissed him off and he was not happy to help me. Second line. By the third line, I had it. Forget the corkscrew! I waited on yet another line only to be told (when I reached the end of the belt,) she was "closed." OK, yes I saved, but did I really save? I sure as hell didn't save any time. read more

This is the worst Wal-Mart I've ever been to, and believe me, I've been to Wal-Marts all across the country including Hawai'i. Most of the shelves are incredibly disorganized with products strewn everywhere, but worst of all, the lines are ridiculously long (both check out AND customer service). Yes, the prices are cheap, but for a much more relaxing experience, go to the Target that's about a block or so away. Also, visited the Subway that's inside the Wal-Mart. They only had two types of bread! Whole wheat and white. I asked for whole wheat, and when my boyfriend asked for whole wheat after I ordered, they had run out! What the heck?! After I started chowing down, I wanted green bell peppers and onions, which I'd neglected to ask for earlier, so I patiently waited on line to ask for a side of them. He said "we don't do that" and pointed to a sign stating that you have to pay extra for bacon and cheese. I pointed out that it said bacon and cheese, and nothing about vegetables, (not to mention the fact that I hadn't asked for them earlier anyway, so they wouldn't have been "extra"). He continued to say no, and me being peeved, just raised my eyebrow at him and said "Okay, if that's how you want to run this place." I went and sat back down, and took a bite when he called me to bring back my sandwich. So he gave me more vegetables. I guess his conscience kicked in. Live coming to this walmart better than the others on long island. I was surprised with the reviews of this place though. When this store is well stocked it's such a pleasure to walk through the isles. I tend to not come here at all on the weekends because it can be A real zoo. Chances are if you're looking for something rear you won't get it and the workers tend to talk to each other more than actually trying to help the customers. I give this place 4 stars because I'm a during the week shopper and it's not that bad. This Walmart caters to the Caribbean community with their Caribbean isle. People act as if this is the only place in the world to shop. Yes they have good deals, but honestly you can get the same deals at Target, BJs, Stop and Shop, etc. The parking lot is always crowded and the lines are even worse. Oh lord...dont even bother coming here when its rush hour in the afternoons and on weekends. What a mess...definitely not a peaceful shopping experience. The lines are extremely long that they go into the aisles. There's no room to move your shopping cart and people are constantly bumping into you. The self checkout moves quick enough because there's about 8 stations but one line. The registers ALL have huge lines. HUGE! Uggghhhhh!!!! Can that just be my review?? That's how I feel whenever I come here. Torture. My trips here are never planned so it's self inflicted torture but torture nonetheless. I usually end up getting way more things than I want because of the ridiculously low prices. I'm not sure how I ever accumulate so many items because I can never seem to get through many of the aisles since they always seem to be unpacking mile high packages. Once I get to the checkout line I immediately regret my 100 roll pack of paper towels for $5 because I'm committed to it and can't just walk away and leave it behind along with the other 42 items in my cart. The wait time is guaranteed to be too damn long and there isn't much space for the lines to get soooo long so be prepared for sheer and utter confusion as to what line you are getting in and who was waiting in it before you.
