I wish I can give ZERO stars. This is the most ghetto, trashy Walmart I've ever seen. I honestly believe it's the worse Walmart in America! My issue is, how do you have huge shipment all over the store 24/7!!!!! Crates, boxes, everything. The staff....ooohhhhh gosh. That's another story in itself. They obviously hire anyone and anything. And yes I said "thing". I mean it's unbelievable. Ghetto staff that hang out with their outside friends, on their phones, yelling, play fighting etc. I asked an employee where can I find a shovel and she said "it's somewhere in the store" like huh??? I hate this Wally with a passion. I have been here multiple times.SUPER RACHET. I swear they just hire anybody. The employees are super unprofessional. I went to ask an associate a question and she gave me the rudest attitude saying " I'm on break" . She didn't even aknowledge my question or the fact that I was there . I should have complained to her manager but I didnt have the time. The employees talk to each other about personal business while customers are around. They just dont care. Some of them have their tounge rings in , and all kinds of exotic piercings in while they are on the job. It just looks so "eww". The lines are ALWAYS long . So long that they usually end up ringing people up on the pharamcy line. The only reason they get two stars is because everything is organized . If I could give this place less stars I promise you I would. This place and the staff are the worst. It's clear these people don't want to be here. My elderly mother asked Flore for for help because the self check out was acting up. You would have thought she asked for the woman's social security number. She slow, didn't come right away, helped several people before my mom and then had a bad attitude when she finally helped. And they have this random rule that if you shop between aisles 121-127, you have to pay for these items ONLY before you leave the area. So to be clear, if you go in to this are and pick up, let's say lotion, you may have to stand in line pay for just the lotion before you go to the front and stand in another line to pay for the rest of your items. It literally makes no sense and they have a security guard posted there to stop shoppers when they come out of the aisle. The security is ridiculous and he is so busy stopping people and trying to clear up the congestion in the area that people cut the line and it ends up being a hostile and crazy experience. I have never heard so many people saying out loud that they hate this store. You have to follow people just to get a shopping cart. It's too much. It's an unpleasant experience and I wouldn't do it if my mom didn't ask me to do it. Give me a southern Walmart and pleasant people any day. read more

I have some good and bad things to say about this Walmart. Because of its location, it gets a lot of traffic. It's Walmart! The lowest price for most things. You have Queens, Brooklyn, and Long Island all coming to this location so I get why it's always over crowded and over packed. Dealing with this Walmart and the parking lot can be a hassle and there's really no way to avoid it. Their inventory is excellent. A lot of times when I'm looking for something on Walmart.com, it'll be available in the Valley Stream store already. I frequent the Uniondale and Westbury locations and the Valley Stream location always wins with item variety and availability. Customer service? Oh they don't have any. Didn't you know? Lol None of the workers want to be there and they clearly show it. They will answer your questions but once they do, it's like YOU bothered THEM! Everyone moves slow and the lines are long enough. At least they are working on the long lines.....Today I was looking for the shortest line and two men approached me and asked was I ready to checkout with credit or debit. I didn't know who they were at first but then I saw their name tags and the Walmart equipment so I said yes, credit. They rang me up and checked me out right at my cart and I was out the door. Its Wal Mart. One of many of hell's outposts on Earth. So... you know. This one is particularly screwed up. Its by Green Acres Mall, which is not exactly the most pleasant place to be. Parking is like living in the world of Mad Max. The employees are lovely. On the Friday before Hurricane Irene I went to Hardware and asked an assistant where the flashlights were. She stopped texting and gave me just enough attention to shoot me the stink eye while yelling "aint no flashlights!" Yeah... There's a Target on the other side of Green Acres Mall. I highly recommend going there instead, if possible. read more

This Walmart , as bountiful as it is with products, as low and reasonable as the prices are, as conveniently located as it it to my house this store to me still falls far below the basic standards of retail. Pro's - There is always restocking being done. It really doesn't matter what time of the day you go there are always palettes of products everywhere and workers restocking . I personally love this because this mean what I will almost always be available ad stocked. which I can appreciate as a consumer. - There is a subway sandwich shop in the front of the store , which I can appreciate. I can grab a bite if me of whoever I'm with gets hungry. - They grocery are sells hot prepared food. I love this because some night it has made dinner a breeze. There is a nice variety of chicken, fish, and sides and its all really tasty, fresh, and well prepared. Con's - TTTHHHHEEEEEE LLLLIIINNNEEEESSSS !! The Lines, The Lines, THE LINES!!!!!! the lines in this store are OUTRAGEOUS. even for the self check out there is a long long line. its so unbearable just trying to find which line to stand on. I would strongly suggest that you train your cashiers on efficiency (speed, accuracy, conflict resolution, customer service). This will greatly help with the lines, as I understand you cant control the volume of people in the store but when you have cashiers that are scanning and talking, arguing with the customer, etc. it all just adds to the exaggerated time all of the customers have to stand in line. - The workers are unprofessional. Visited this location twice since arriving in New York. The first time it was around 8pm and today it was during the week 3:00 pm., both visits the store was extremely busy. I was unable to purchase everything that I needed because the only two shopping carts available was broken so I walked around the store with my hands full and checked out easily in the self check out section. I'm not sure if the holiday season had anything to do with shipments being placed on the floor and allowing customers to pull what they needed instead of employees restocking the shelves. It was literally a maze maneuvering past pallets of goods that needed to be stocked. This location is nearby Green Acres Mall, and the two times I've visited it has been extremely slammed with customers. I would not return here unless my options were limited. We are in Queens. Normally order from Walmart.com it's fast, free shipping and great prices. Today I felt like slumming it and needed a garment rack in a hurry. This particular Walmart is a mess, to start off no carts at front. I search the lot to find one, I finally found one with wheels that worked. BTW the parking lot smells of weed, anyway like I said the store is a mess. I found my garment rack and I was done. I waited in line for almost 25 minutes as the cashier rang up items at a snails pace. I would like to give special shot-outs to the customer in front of me who paid her bill in small change and the woman behind me who hit me in my back with her cart trying to flee our line. Hopefully I will have the good sense not to return. read more

Pathetic customer service. Is this store even open for business? Placed online order for one tshirt at 2p.m and usually you get a notification in an hour or so that it's ready to be picked up. Not at Valley Stream Walmart. The absolute incompetence of the Managers and staff is staggering as I didnt recieve a notification in email or text over 6 and a half hours later! This is with a written guarentee that it would be ready at the latest at by 8p.m. Anyway then I tried to call up the store and pressed the option for pickup. No answer after maybe 50 rings and then the phone hangs up on you. Tried again this time pressed O to get to an associate. Guess what? Another 50 plus rings and yet another hang up. This happened again and again and the last time I checked they now have switched my potential pickup to now Saturday morning. Now remember this is tentative as they have not told me they have found or processed my tshirt. What a crappy experience and bad joke of a store. Do yourself a favor and go shop and spend money somewhere where they care about their customers and dont treat them like garbage. read more

This location goes out of their way to make a customer have the worst possible experience. I believe it's some sort of experiment or a sick joke by walmart executives to see how frustrating they can make the whole customer journey and still have people coming back again and again for more torture. Every time I go, I end up asking myself why I even bothered. And yet I still somehow end up here every other month. I think it's because I'm amused at how these guys get busier and busier as they get crappier and crappier. - I've made it a habit to ask employees working the floors to help me out with something I'm looking for. The last ten times I asked them, I knew where the item was, but I was testing to see if they knew. I was pointed in the right direction 1/10 times. Most of the time I would get a careless shrug and a mumble. But this one time an employee made me follow him across the entire store only to say "I coulda sworn that $#!t was here lmao" when the item was just an aisle over from where we started. They must be giving things away for free in this Walmart because it was packed to the gills yesterday! The parking lot was packed as well so finding parking took about 15 minutes! We went to grab a few things and to maneuver around the store was downright frustrating. People were there with their entire families taking up space and walking around aimlessly. Now granted Walmart has some deals, I just couldn't understand the crowds. The store could have been better organized as well. The lines were long as well. I believe every register was open too! Our cashier had an attitude and it was apparent! Not for a pleasant check out. She made mention of items that were still in the cart as I emptied it almost to imply that they were left there on purpose. Sadly this is the closest location in my area. Unfortunately it needs to be under better management. There was only one redeeming worker in there that helped us to locate an item with a smile. This is the absolute worst run Walmart ever. The curbside pick up was apparently closed because of lack of workers. No signs out saying it was closed. So myself and everyone else was waiting forever to get out orders. Finally I went inside to find out we couldn't pick up because lack of staff. I went to repurchase my item from the aisle at a regular register and it was ringing up more than what I paid for it online in the app and the manager said there was nothing they can do about it. That's the way the pricing is. So I left with no order. When I tried to cancel my order it says may not be able to guarantee it be cancelled. What a JOKE. Absolutely disgusting customer service . Waited 30 mins online only for them to tell me to go get the box of the item even though I have the receipt. The girl told me she doesn't want to write in the numbers that's on the receipt and made me wait a whole 10 mins for another employee to find the product to scan . I love me some Walmart and their amazing prices ! I've been to two in New Jersey and 1 in westbury, LI. This location is absolutely for the pits!!! A bunch of ghetto workers who are unwilling to help you, they are super loud screaming over from cashier to cashier with personal stories. The strangest people in the world come here and the lines are so long that after 30 minutes we are still waiting and there are 20 carts in front of us. If anything they should be closed as a fire hazard as there is no way anyone could get out of this menagerie god forbid of something. Every register from self check out to just regular are packed. That's six self checkouts and 26 regular with 20-30 carts on lines that you need glasses for to see the beginning or end. Not worth saving 20 cents on anything to be treated like wild range cattle. Worst Walmart ever . Never have what I need in multiple visits . Some things at Walmart are actually more expensive then some other stores and pharmacies. Never a pleasant experience while ghetto people flood in from Brooklyn and Queens and the whole time I'm shopping I'm getting moved bumped and run over by these people who obviously have no home or outside training . I drive over 35 min to go to a different location . I've been to a bunch of Walmarts and this one is the pits. Where do I even begin? -Rude service -Lots of attitude -Slow help I went to return a few items at the customer service center and when I finally got to the end of the long line, I got greeted by a cashier who clearly didn't want to be there. She seemed to take small breaks between every step of the returns process. After I handed her the receipt, she turned her head to the left and stared at her coworker for about 2 minutes and then finally remembered that she had to SCAN the receipt for the entire process to start. Then, she decided to take a lesiurely walk to my item across the counter instead of scanning it over the counter. She somehow managed to turn my 30 second return into a 5 minute return. Next, I had to shop for a few items but was not clear where they would be. So I ended up asking a worker who looked like he had nothing to do. As it turns out, that person was TOO BUSY to talk to me and instead had to continue a conversation with his other 2 coworkers, instead. After an ahem and excuse me, they proceeded to point me in the right direction after a little attitude. As I was about to thank her for the help, she cut me off with a "You're welcome" in characteristic rude tone. I decided to self-checkout because let's face it. I wasn't going to chance encountering another Walmart worker on my way out. At least this part was smooth, efficient, and was attitude-free. In triumph, I was just about to head home until I had one last example of how bad the service is at this Walmart - the receipt checker guy. He stared me down and asked for my receipt, even though both my hands were filled with items that I had purchased. I also noticed that he was staring me at me while I was purchasing the items RIGHT in front of him only seconds before. I guess he had the memory of a goldfish or his job made him so lonely that he needed some human contact. Regardless, I told him to fish it out of the bag. Then, he handed the receipt back to me, expecting me to grab it as if I had somehow magically sprouted a 3rd arm between the time he took it out of the bag and finished looking at it. When I told him that I wasn't anymore free than before, he proceeded to crumple my receipt and toss it into my bag. As I left the parking lot, I thought, if I went to an even further Walmart, I still would have saved more time because the service would have been so much faster. Also, I would have felt less guilty spending my money. read more

This location has pretty big selection of items at competitive prices. There's a option for online order and store pickup, which I've used many times and find to be more convenient. Until addition of newer self checkout devices recently, there used to be a ridiculous wait time on checkout lines. I was pleasantly surprised at ease of checkout during this trip! read more

Walmart in green acres mall is a place to go to get what u need for the house. The prices are reasonable. I dont normally come often but I decided to come. I originally came to just get a few groceries. But you will come to find out you go to walmart for one thing and come out with other things. Not only was I able to time get my groceries but I was able to get a christmas tree and search for some christmas gifts. All great prices. What stood out to me this time coming was a future purchase of a tv at such a reasonable great price. Walmart walmart always got something a customer needs. read more

Great one stop shopping food. Clothing, household they have IT covered even pet supplies. Cons parking lot is like a amusement bumper car ride Store is crammed with merchandise way too much that it majes it difficult to shop. This is not the best Wal-Mart. In fact, I go out of my way to Long Island (East Meadow), where there is a much better Walmart. The Valley Stream location is disorganized, dirty, and ugly. I was eyeing a bag of chips and found little black things, crawling around the bags. I'm unsure if a bag or two were tampered with but I almost vomited. Secondly, half-emptied Gatorade and Seltzer bottles will be found on the shelf. Clothes on the floor, incompetent employees, the list goes on and it's embarrassing. Step your game up. read more

Do not ever select this store for in-store pickup. You will never get a "your order is ready for pickup email". On 2 different orders i chose this store as the instore pickup. despite getting walmart customer service involved which they will assure you repeatedly that I will get ready for pickup email "within 24 hours" and this is after a week of chasing an order that should have been ready for same day pick up, it never happens. Then, they will simply cancel your order and say it's not in stock. read more

This place is a nightmare. It'll take you an hour to get from one side of the store to the other. If you have a cart, make it two hours. Between being so overcrowded and pallets blocking the isles it's the most frustrating store I've been to. Checkout is even worse I've been in line for 35 minutes now. It's always crowded as everyone already knows. I've never had an issue with other customers or employees at Walmart but I don't shop at this store very often. My issue with Walmart is simply that they sell too much processed foods. I want more natural, and/or organic foods, less processed foods. All their baked goods are made with lots of preservatives, chemicals... Their rotisserie chicken is crazy cheap, but ridiculously salty and prob full of hormones. I don't even bother with other parts of Walmart. I know they have cheap stuff but I'd rather pay a lil more for better quality products. I came home with my family yesterday since someone needed to pick something up and another wanted a few items and it was on the way to Trader Joes. The fruits and veggies are still decently priced compared to other grocery stores. read more

Online pick up is useless and info often inaccurate because the website states item available for pick up today in store so you happily go ahead and complete your order in order to pick up your stuff same day only to later get an e-mail stating your items will are delayed and will ship 2-3 days later. I had to make 2 trips to pick up 6 items and one is still missing. I would have been better off having everything sent to my home. read more
