Yesterday, 7/1, I worked all day and 6 left the house to go to BJs, gas up, to the wine store and to Trader Joe's. However, driving home, I realized that I failed to pick up oranges and bananas, so decided to make a quick stop to Keyfood since its around the corner from where I've lived for 26 years...so been coming here for that long for quick stops. Never had any complaint..until about 5 years or so ago, an elderly woman started working on the self service registers. RUDE and so condescending! Apparently, I'm not the only one who has issues with her...see the attached screenshot. Mind you, I've been to 3 stores prior to this one without incident...all good and happy experiences. She had to talk down to me like a child about a mistake I made in a code entry which generated a wrong price for the product. Anyway...I'm never going back there again.

The new and improved Key Food! I say new and improved because I was always skeptical about about shopping here but my grandmother insisted. She expressed that they are under new management. As you enter the store they have a your convenience water and select sale items. In the windows for large display sale items of the week. Good way to lure customers in. They sell fresh ground coffee by pound for all you coffee lovers out there. The store manager Alex was very friendly. He was able to tell me where produce and store items were located when other employees were unable to. What I like the most about this store is the variety of Caribbean products that are sold here. I was able to purchase curry and aloe vera water. I appreciate the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the store.

Beautiful store. It looks so clean and shiney ! Everything is perfectly organized it's hard to believe. Looks like something out of a magazine. Lol The staff here are helpful. Everyone around is smiling. The manager even greeted the customers. Just beautiful. But of course the prices are kind of steep.

I really like this supermarket. When I was a kid I would run up and down this place like there was no tomorrow. It's clean, well organized and caters to many different ethnicities. They have all of my Caribbean food needs and I love them for that. They recently redid the deli and now there's a mini coffee shop and the deli now sells like real food to purchase and eat. All in all, very clean, well organized, amazing staff and will forever be a staple supermarket for me when I come home.

Whe you found heaven on fresh Fruit platters my Good I love the food and the variety of products from all over the world 5*all around!

The staff here is exceptionally helpful and friendly. I usually come here depending on what they have on sale. Always a good experience coming here.

First let take this back, I realize the take or change they did. I'm not too keen with the products being in the front

First let's take this back, I lived around here for years. And I've realize the change in the store because of the replacement of the employees. Before they seems more nicer. Today they don't say anything to you. You can tell the difference who's the sales reps and the managers. Today for example one the guys who had the keys to do an override. Was right in the way sitting on a cart (not professional) on top that is was in the way you need to pass to leave the store. One I said politely "sorry excuse ". No eye contact, barely budged his cart is was sitting on I had to say "okay"? In other words that was rude. I feel if your going to sit and do a job. Number one the customer is a first priority to be polite. This store gets a 2 because you have food and your not too far. However I can take my business else where along with the other neighbors who are not fond of your store either. At times the cashiers don't seem happy to be there however the one I had today was nice. Your the owner or representer sad store managers be more polite.

Close local supermarket that has all the essentials then some. They just re-modeled also and have new and better equipment.

After attempting to scan several items in accordance with the instructions being broadcast from the machine, the machine appeared to malfunction and was not registering all of the items and then broadcast an alert to wait for assistance. In fact, several of the machines simultaneously starting announcing the same message. The same young man, after attending to another customer, came over to me and accused me of deliberately not scanning items and then started cursing in English and Spanish. At the time, I cautioned him about his profanity but I still feel I need to bring to the store's attention the inappropriateness of the attendant's behavior. His false accusations were extremely offensive and coupled with the frustration of using machines that are possibly defective gives me pause about continuing to shop at a store where I have been shopping for over 50 years--when as a teenager in the 1970s, the same building was a Pathmark supermarket. Needless to say, if I continue to shop at this store, I will absolutely steer clear of the self-checkout machines. But more importantly, customers and older shoppers should not be abused and insulted by someone with little to no experience and clearly no aptitude for customer service.

I was in the area and decided to stop by and I believe it was few days before Christmas or New Years and I could've slapped myself. LOL. This place is known to always be crowded so you know it was extra crazy right before a holiday. The parking lot drama was just like I remembered it "hectic." The spots are tight and very busy. Now for the good, LOL. They have tons of Caribbean foods and ingredients you cant find in your typical supermarket. When my cousin visits NY she always want to stop here to pick up some items for her Caribbean dishes. They have a huge fruit and vegetable area that is packed since its the first area you visit when you walk in. I always pick up items I don't find in my neighborhood. I grabbed some cut up chicken to curry and these biscuit like snacks called Shirley that come in a few different flavors that I loove. I also re upped on some of the spices. The lines to check out were loooooonnnnngggg and I remembered looking in my cart seeing if I really wanted my groceries. I sucked it up and waited about 30 minutes. Do NOT go during a holiday, periodt! LOL. The staff are not the friendliest but you have to come in here with a mindset that you gotta do what you have to do and try to finish as quick as you can in this fast paced and always crowded supermarket. This place has Trader Joes beat in terms of crowds and frenzied.

The prices and sales just aren't as competitive as they used to be, and at times it feels like they assume customers don't have many other options. For a supermarket of this size, I think they could offer better deals, improve the overall appearance of the store, and provide more consistent customer service. I have noticed they've added more self checkout lanes, which is convenient for shoppers who only need a few items. Having shopped here since the Pathmark days, I can honestly say that the transition to Stop & Shop didn't bring the major improvements I had hoped for. One of the biggest disappointments has been the prepared food. Their fried chicken used to be one of my favorites, but the quality just isn't what it once was. The store itself is decent, but still feels dark and drab. I'll still stop in when I need to pick up a few things, but I believe this store has the potential to be so much better. With better pricing, fresher prepared foods, and an overall upgrade to the shopping experience, Stop & Shop could become the Publix of New York.

I picked up ingredients for chicken soup, beef soup, and pasta -- the kind of food that keeps you warm for days. I spent about $150, which honestly still feels expensive, but considering today's food prices and the fact that this will turn into multiple home-cooked meals (and leftovers), it was worth it. Being prepared during a storm beats scrambling for overpriced takeout any day. Food is definitely expensive right now, but cooking at home is still the smartest way to stretch your money and eat well. They pack bags with out asking, great service, nice and clean and bright. On this old year's day (New year's Eve) I went in from the Central Ave side to grab something I'd forgotten to get at another supermarket. It was quiet in there. Myself and four other shoppers.
