This is the best Walmart that I've ever been to; clean, well-organized, helpful staff. Even the exterior of the building is cosmetically appealing when compared to the majority of other Walmarts. I can't say that I've ever had a bad experience here. Don't take this Walmart for granted, they aren't all as nice as this one is. I moved away from Spring Hill four years ago and haven't found a comparable Walmart anywhere else. The nearest Walmart to where I live now is nicknamed "the zoo" and I avoid it at all costs. One especially notable feature is the stuffed animal claw machine near the entrance, it is actually fair and if you're any good you can win something every time. My little sister's bed is covered with stuffed animals that she won playing this game. You may be thinking any Walmart in a small boring town like Spring Hill would be clean and well organized, but this is not the case. The Walmart on 50 (Cortez Blvd) is proof of this, it is a mess, its always dirty, bad customer service, and there are always empty shelves. Its not very different from "the zoo" that I live near now. I would say the only bad thing about this Walmart is that it is stuck in Spring Hill, so be careful in the parking lot because the senior citizens in the area have a habit of mixing up the gas and brake pedals in their cars and in one case (true story...tragic really) mistaking pedestrians for garbage pals and then hitting them. read more

This is the worst store...if your on your own grabbing items your good. That is if its not late in the day and alot of items are bare on shelf. If you need any assistance like electronics, or deli and especially the pharmacy. Just to get a half pound of roast beef took my husband waiting there over 40 minutes to get service at the deli, I had completed all the rest of the shopping in the time it took just for him to get the meat. I took my mother in law there just to grab a cellphone and that visit took over an hour and we only wanted to grab it an pay for it. They had nothing to do with setting it up and it took an hour for an associate to find a key just to get the stupid thing out of the case. Lastly, I was recommended by my health insurance to save costs by using the walmart pharmacy. This is by far the most ridiculous service of all...an associate on two occasions could not locate my name and sent me over to the drop off to talk to the pharmacist...I had waited in line for her then in line again for the pharmacist then in line again to speak with the same incompetent associate. I complained about her the second time she did that to me...all because she did not spell my name correctly each time. They gave me the wrong prescription once with someone elses name. But worst of all EVERY single time I go they tell me they wont have my script for another day or two. I take very normal prescriptions that would be shelved on any pharmacy everywhere. But never fails to fill my prescription takes on average 2 to 3 trips to get it filled. I called today last straw. I call and associate Kathy answers the pharmacy phone "WalMart please hold" left me on hold for 15 minutes. I call back Kathy answers the phone and introduces herself how can I help you? I said yes I need to check if my refills are ready. Name? she asks I said by the way you left me on hold for 15 minutes and never came back, she said and I quote "ya how can I help you?" no apology nothing as if I am working her too hard...I was irritated and never asked for a manager before but that is rude. I said yes you can help me I need to speak to your manager. She comes on same thing " how can I help you, I said just trying to check on my refills, but I asked for you because the associate left me on hold for 15 minutes and im only complaining because I am in customer service and would have at least acknowleged it with an apology - she said and I quote "sorry to hear that how can I help" I said I told you I need to check my refills" Is your refill at this walmart? I said why else would I be calling this walmart? then she went on about people from the north blah blah blah I am not from the north - she said what is your birthday so I can look it up and help you. I said you know what I don't need anything from you, I will take my business elsewhere - she said (A MANAGER SUPPOSEDLY) ok have a nice day. The things we allow just to save a buck or two. No thank you from now on I do not shop walmart EVER they are the worst all the way around. I am choosing to shop at nothing but local owned shops - ma and pa pharmacies. read more

Stopped to pick up some fresh Deli meat and cheese just before 7:00 pm. There were 3 people working, a man helping a customer with hot food, a woman SLOWLY cleaning one of the 4 slicers, and a younger male slicing meat. The man finished serving the customer, and made a comment to the woman about her still cleaning the same slicer, and she needed to speed up, then was cleaning the rotisserie machine. The younger male commented they would be getting out late because he doesn't have time to clean, then handed the customer ahead of me her first package, then she asked for Angus roast beef. He had her repeat it twice and then asked her what she meant. after about 2 minutes he figured out what she wanted and began slicing and talking to the deli woman about how bad the store management is. She briefly engaged him while wringing out a wet cleaning rag on the floor and then continued her slow, methodical time kill. When the beef was cut he bagged the left over meat and literally dropped it into the cooler. He began wiping the slicer and after about a minute stated he had to clean teh slicer off and will help when he had the chance. When he was done he called for number 28, I had 34 and was next, the customer behind me told him that he had lost customers because of the slow service, to which he stated it wasn't his problem, he can only do so much. I told him I wanted 1/2# oven roasted turkey, he opened the door and asked "oven roasted chicken?" I repeated Turkey, and he began opening door after door looking. Then asked again, "Chicken?" I again asaid turkey and slow clean girl walked up and said they are out of Prima Deli turkey but there was low sodium. I said I didn't want low sodium, Butterball is fine and the young male again said "Chicken?" I told them to forget it, i'm done. The woman started telling me to wait and I said that I had waited 9 minutes behind 1 person while listening to them complain about management and no desire for anything in that store, ever. I walked over to customer service desk to complain but there was a line there too. As I left I told the greeter the people in the Deli have terrible attitudes and that's why I am leaving empty handed. I won't return, there are 3 other Walmart sand several Winn Dixie and Publix stores nearby. I believe the young male is the real problem, his attitude is terrible and customers can hear him, plus he doesn't know where things are in his area? read more
