I had to pick up a refilled prescription and do some grocery shopping at the same time, so hit two errands with one stone. What irks me is that this location has decided to forego customer service by eliminating 99 percent of cashiers and go to self-scanning as if everyone wants to be a Walmart employee. Not me! Until they give me vacation time and medical benefits along with retirement plan I will gladly wait for a human cashier to ring in my purchase - I haven't been trained and can make a mistake - I don't want to be accused of shoplifting! Bait and Switch. Just had an oil change done at Walmart. I asked for the $44 Quaker State full synthetic oil. They entered the order into the system, and had me sign two signature pages on their iPad. When I picked up the car, the charge was $59! They did a "featured" Penzoil change for $54, and charged me an additional $5 for the Penzoil Ecobox, which I don't believe they even use, since they dispense their oil in bulk. And in reviewing the receipt, it says they used Valvoline oil, not Penzoil. Guess Valvoline oil now comes in a Penzoil Ecobox. When questioned about all this, they claimed it was what I ordered. Turns out, the second signature they asked for was my refusing a written estimate. My mistake. So in the future, I'll make sure I always get a written estimate BEFORE any work is done. Auto Tire department needs to be shut down, this is going to corporate office. THEY REFUSE TO ANSWER PHONES, we had 60 calls in, investigation 3 people did said 5 employees back there , ONLY 2 WORKING ON CARS, OTHER 3 did nothing, not check outs, and walked by ringing phone ignoring it. People call to see if they have in stock the tires they want to purchase and have installed that day. but they refuse to answer. CLOSE THAT AUTO DEPARTMENT AT THAT LOCATION, and give all to Brooksville, they have great auto service. I hate all Walmart stores and yet I keep coming back because of the prices and a couple of really nice employees!! That's about all I can say except that in the past six months I witnessed two crimes. One where a couple of folks ran out of the store stealing HDTV's. The other was more recent. An 80 year old couple from Iowa were loading up the car and a couple of drug addicts stole her purse and took off in a car. All this and yet I am not afraid to come back. 0 Zero stars for poor customer service. Bought a grill , they said the assembled ones are o. The garden center; I go to the garden center and ALL the assembled ones have varying degrees of damage. Not " scratch and dent" sale. They were falling apart, smashed, scratched etc. The lady at customer service insisted that she needs to have the grill to implement refund. She calls for them to bring the grill. Guy shows up without the grill. Wants to know what's "going on" with the grill. Explain again. The customer service lady send him for the gril exit guy. Guy never returns. Customer service lady calls again. Finally, a manager arrives (15-20 minutes have gone by). She says " what's going on with the grill"? Explain again. She approves the refund. The customer service lady has taken three customers ahead of me and expects me to wait for my refund. I point this out. Enter manager who initiates my refund. Moral of the story: pick a more organized Walmart. read more

Another one for the "why am I even reviewing this place ??" books. WALMART. Love-hate, you know? And for me, it's mostly hate. I hate that everything in the aisles is processed artificial absolutely not what you want to be putting in your body crap. I normally avoid it like the plague, and stick to my Whole Foods safe zone, but (and oh how this throws me off during our many travels) there's just not always a Whole Foods within driving distance. And such was the case on a recent trip to Florida, where we PLANNED to stop at the Whole Foods on our way out of Orlando to pick up food for the next couple of days of tent-camping... and then promptly forgot until we were hours away and out in the-middle-of-nowhere, Florida, which was still hours away (and even further to the edge of nowhere) from the campground where we would eventually be staying. Which is where WalMart comes into play, because there is one of these things in Everytown, USA. We brought absolutely zero cooking equipment with us, planning to cook hot dogs over the campfire for dinner, have sandwiches and general snacky type stuff for lunch, and maybe some fruit and granola bars or something for breakfast. I was dreading trying to find something relatively "safe" at WalMart to eat that would also not require any cooking, especially since my attempts at our local one have been so fruitless (although I will say the only time we buy hot dogs is for the rare camping experience), but away we went nonetheless. And to my absolute shock and surprise -- lunch meat with no preservatives and artificial junk! And not one but TWO different brands of hot dogs without nitrates and artificial stuff, one of which was the Applegate Farms ones that I would have bought from Whole Foods had we actually remembered to stop there. Organic fruit is still scarce, so we opted to stick with the granola bars that we already had, but I was seriously blown away that there was actually an option when it came to what we were looking for. Seriously. So much so that I'm sitting here writing a review for WalMart of all places, and giving it more than one star. I know. I KNOW. This is a place that I love to hate, but I am seriously so happy that folks in remote areas are finally starting to see some stuff on the shelves that isn't just chock full of chemicals. Not like hot dogs are the epitome of healthy eating or anything, but you know. It's all about the moderation and avoiding the really nasties. So thanks Walmart in Spring Hill, for having Applegate Farms turkey hot dogs and saving my little family from a night of nothing to cook over the campfire and sandwiches (or worse) for dinner. Nothing great here. There vegetables are horrible, and never consistent. One week they will have a product, then it will disappear for months. Checking receipts on the way out is also becoming a pain in the a$$. Especially when 9 people ahead of you have water or toilet paper in their basket. And their medal detector on the way in and out are to damn sensitive. My wife and I cell phones trigger it constantly and it makes you feel like you've committed a crime with the looks you get. They need to have them celebrate correctly so only their merchandise triggers it off if the security labels aren't deactivated, not my damn cell phone! And customer service is completely unprofessional and rude. I asked for a plastic bag for my photos I had printed, and after the lady who rang up the sale scurried off in a hurry. So i asked the other employee standing there on her cell phone "Ms. Excuse me" her response was "Yea, whats up" really??? Is that how you address a customer? I obviously disturbed her texting or whatever else she was doiing on her cell phone. Walmart has taken a nose dive and continues its spiral decent. 90 % of their grocery carriages are junk and if they do roll, they have a mind of their own. Broken wheels, bent wheels etc. You would think they make enough money from the public to purchase new baskets every now and then. We now do most of our grocery shopping at Publix. Friendly staff, always stocked, knowledgeable employees, clean and top notch grocery carriages! Walmart needs to clean house and fix their internal problems for us to frequent that establishment in the future. Its simply not worth it anymore! And now to ad to the stupidly during this pandemic situation. Closing their TLE department for no reason blaming it all on the pandemic. First excuse was they are waiting for the Florida Governor to send them permission to reopen TLE. I contacted the Governors office personally to find out that is a lie. Second excuse is that the waiting area is to small to practice social distancing. Really? Rope it off! Customers can either shop in the store or drop off the car. I have asked several TLE employees who are doing different miscellaneous jobs around the store and they all say "we don't know why we are closed either, and they won't tell us nothing". There is no reason why the waiting area cannot be roped off not allowing customers to sit in there. 90% of TLE customers shop while they wait. Another lame excuse. Walmart needs to get their act together and stop making excuses. They have already lost valued customers including myself. From now on I will take my automotive needs elsewhere. Every other car care center has been open during this pandemic, there is no reason Walmart should be any different. Tire Kingdom has a small waiting area, and no place to shop, and they manage to keep 6 feet away. Stop ignoring the stupidly of this decision you have made to close down TLE. IT'S ridiculous and un-called for. Its an essential service to the community and you have completely turned your backs to your TLE customers. Wake up Walmart, and stop putting the blame on everything because of the Corona Virus! read more

Went to this Walmart 8/17/18 around 7PM to do my monthly grocery haul. This Walmart is EXTREMELY expensive compared to others I have been to previously in regards to their produce. I went to another Walmart located in Spring Hill and only paid 79 cent for a carton of eggs and ended up paying 2.19 cents for the SAME pack I purchased before. This Wal-Mart is also located by a water plant that fills the whole parking lot with a nasty sewer smell. The parking lot is poorly maintained but that night whoever the cart collector was, did do a good job of collecting carts but there was trash everywhere. I wouldn't say the staff is bad, they honestly were VERY friendly. The employee who was stocking the meat department that night was friendly to my fiancé and I grabbing a fresh pack of meat from the back and also the self-checkout attendant was also very helpful even though our large cart and numerous self checkout blunders had him running back and fourth but he maintained a positive attitude. They are poorly stocked, the store smells musky, and the customers seemed to have some sort of vendetta against us lol but other then that THEY HAVE A GREAT STAFF! I will not be returning. read more

This is the best Walmart that I've ever been to; clean, well-organized, helpful staff. Even the exterior of the building is cosmetically appealing when compared to the majority of other Walmarts. I can't say that I've ever had a bad experience here. Don't take this Walmart for granted, they aren't all as nice as this one is. I moved away from Spring Hill four years ago and haven't found a comparable Walmart anywhere else. The nearest Walmart to where I live now is nicknamed "the zoo" and I avoid it at all costs. One especially notable feature is the stuffed animal claw machine near the entrance, it is actually fair and if you're any good you can win something every time. My little sister's bed is covered with stuffed animals that she won playing this game. You may be thinking any Walmart in a small boring town like Spring Hill would be clean and well organized, but this is not the case. The Walmart on 50 (Cortez Blvd) is proof of this, it is a mess, its always dirty, bad customer service, and there are always empty shelves. Its not very different from "the zoo" that I live near now. I would say the only bad thing about this Walmart is that it is stuck in Spring Hill, so be careful in the parking lot because the senior citizens in the area have a habit of mixing up the gas and brake pedals in their cars and in one case (true story...tragic really) mistaking pedestrians for garbage pals and then hitting them. read more
