Walmart is distinctive in that they are all pretty much the same.. everywhere. this one is a bit different due to the clientele and the staff. I rarely have to wait long to check out, seems like they always have just the right staff on duty. I shop early, so it is nice that they open at 6am. it is really quiet at the opening. read more

I don't know if it's the age of the management or something else, but the volume of the music inside and outside in the parking lot is unreasonably loud. There are a couple of hours in the morning that are quiet but after that, you walk into party central and have to raise your voice to be heard when talking to someone. This is by far the nicest Walmart I have ever been in And if it wasn't for the huge Walmart sign and the branded logo everywhere, I wouldn't know I was at a Walmart. Wow! Evidently I need to get out of Portland more often! Clean and organized are not words that come to mind when at Walmart, but at the Sherwood location it defines the store. Even the bathrooms were clean! Kudos to the management and employees. While I was there I saw three different workers sweeping the floors. Had to return some Christmas lights because I grabbed multi colored and needed clear and I was blown away by how clean ithe customer service area was. At most Walmarts, this area has piles of merchandise on the counter, behind the counter, in shopping carts along the wall. It usually looks like a hoarders home!!! Not here. Spotless. No merchandise in site. Clear counters. A short line. Efficient service. What??? Toto, we are not in Kansas anymore! They had a beautiful selection of succulents each in a modern pot for $9.99. Similar but nicer than at Trader Joe's where they are $14.99. It's close to Thanksgiving and they had so many Thanksgiving cactus in bloom; shades of fuschia, pale yellow, red and orange were available. Just beautiful. . Most of the Christmas decorations are already gone, which is partly due to low stock as a result of the nationwide shipping issue. Luckily I was able to get the string lights I needed, grabbed the last box of 300. Located right off Tualitin Sherwood Road with a huge parking lot and surrounded by other stores and fast food places, this Walmart is stellar. Really don't understand the 1 and 2 star reviews. They should visit the stores in Portland if they want to experience a 2 star store! read more

Don't bother wasting money on fruits or veggies they only last 2-3 days. Most of the checkout lines including self check out are closed after 7pm. Plan on spending way more time here than you should need too. Hey Walmart, hire more employees to work the checkouts. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is for the current employees who try their best. Safeway and Fred Meyers cost more but it's worth not having to needlessly wait in line an extra 10 mins. read more

Can't get a hold of anyone to actually pick my item up, tried asking an employee who was walking back from helping another person and the guy genuinely ran away from me! What the fuck! I've had many bad experiences in the past at this exact Walmart and only this Walmart. Unfortunately, due to what my grandma and I went through today, I will no longer shop here. There was an older lady helping us check our items out. (Christina) She was making it very difficult and kept giving attitude even though we were being cooperative. Mind you this lady is giving my grandma dirty stares as I'm looking straight at her. I understand it was rush hour so she was trying to move us out quickly but because of this, she made a few errors that costed money out of our pockets instead of using our snap. I had exactly 200 on the card but she proceeds to say we had nothing on it. She only took one dollar from the card and made us pay the rest in cash. Working at a low income job...THATS ALOT OF MONEY I TOOK OUT. Hence why I signed up for food stamp for my grandma. I've worked here before and I will tell you that all of the Walmart employees here are LAZYYYY AND RUDE ASF FOR NO REASON. I left due to the unhealthy environment the employees set it out to be. Decent location except for the fact that the employees here are almost completely useless. The self checkout person who wears the mask is ruder than shit and won't help with anything whatsoever, broken product, grabbing a item for you that's supposed to be at "3" with a line of 20 behind it when you don't even have 15 items... and the "checker" at the door will harass you for your receipt and try to look through all of your items. Which is actually illegal as fuck for them to do. Oh and this location is discriminatory since they have the men's hair dye products locked up but not the women's hair dye and then expect you to wait not just once for someone to unlock it but then expect you to wait in a long ass line for an item that doesn't even cost $10 read more

My service dog in training barked at a horrible attitude employee because she had on a mask and christmas hat. The employee who didn't bother to ask any information on the dogs training. i usually do my shopping here because it's close to a lot of friends and therefore convenient. As far as walmarts go, the store itself is my favorite. HOWEVER- do NOT do order pickup here. Ive tried a handful of times and either my order isn't ready on time or they take way too long to bring my things out. When you shop at Walmart, you're typically signing up to be disappointed in your shopping experience in return for cheap stuff. However, the Sherwood Walmart always seems to be a cut above the rest. Located in a nice shopping center just off of Tualatin Sherwood road, it's easy to find and easy to reach. Cleaner, quieter, and usually well stocked, this Walmart is a bit better than the average location and rises to meet your needs quite regularly. It IS still a Walmart and is bound to have some if the same problems as the other stores, such as the afternoon rush, the occasional long lines, and a bare shelf or two, but these problems are much less frequent than some other locations. Well managed and convenient, I recommend the Sherwood Walmart if you need to pick something up. read more

I went to Walmart today to pick something up from Curbside pick up which I had ordered online. It was three bags of sore throat lozenges, one box of cough medicine, and a bottle of Airborne gummies. I arrived at the store at 9:26 in the morning, and the order was packing up when I arrived. 5 minutes later it was supposedly ready to come out to my car. 50 minutes later, or a total of 55 minutes after I arrive to the store, they brought my bag full of stuff out to my car, missing one item. When I told the curbside guy what was missing, he told me he'd go back in and get it. It took him 11 more minutes to go get the item from the store shelf. I'm 61 years old, I could have walked to the other end of the store and got it myself in 5 minutes. These idiots lollygag about like they're strolling on the beach, with no sense of urgency whatsoever, and no consideration for our time. Walmart, do better. Hire better people. Instill some work ethic in your people. read more

Worst Experience EVER! We usually go to Target and they will price match anything on their website. We went to Walmart to pick up a certain toy and it was $7 cheaper online. So we took it to the register and they REFUSED to price match their own item. They said we had to purchase it online to get that price. So we did and the time slot to pick it up wasn't until after 9pm (we were at the store at 10am). So we took the toy over to customer service and said "Hey, we just purchased this online. Can you pick up our order, here is the ONE item on the order and close it out for us?". They wouldn't do it! We even asked for a manager and they refused to do it too! Here is the toy, you can see it on your screen, just scan it and we can all go about our day. It's actually saving them time too! They did however offer to cancel our online order. Worst customer service I've ever received. We've been in the Sherwood location a handful of times and the employees are some of the rudest people we have ever met. The here is literally nobody here but the want me to wait an hour until they do the vaccine because the can't give the vaccine early, you must wait for your appointment. Look, I don't expect much when I go to Walmart, but Jesus Christ no wonder this place gets ripped off every two seconds as there are no employees to help you. I waited back in the electronics department for 20 minutes, they paged about five times, no one ever came. I called the store number, asked the front desk for help and again, no one came. Called the store number asked to speak to the manager on duty, again, no one came. All I had to do was pick up an order (which when they texted me that it was ready warned me that I needed to pick it up today)! My expectations are low to begin with and this is ridiculous. They're going to have to do more than bonus store managers to be considered in the same realm as Target. At least there you can always find an employee. read more

I've personally always had a good experience here workers are friendly and they have everything. This is honestly my top choice for a walmart in my area. It's a Walmart so you know what you are in for when going in. I've given it 4 stars as it's generally pretty good as Walmart's go, it's never too busy and they have most things I need. The only reasons I didn't give 5 stars are 1) I purchased a pre-made sandwich once and found a large piece of plastic in it. It really turned my stomach so I took it to the service counter to let them know. They didn't seem too concerned about it and the manager almost didn't believe me that I found it inside the sandwich. Anyway I walk away and he calls me back to offer me a $10 coupon. Ok fair enough and the gesture went a long way 2) the guys that pick and load the grocery pick ups are young and maybe lack life experience so they tend to give you off substitutions and loads heavy groceries on top of fragile ones in your trunk so from experience I tend to get out and help them. Where to begin... I guess I'll start with tonight and throw in some other issues I've had here. So, tonight I picked up a custom birthday cake for my wife's birthday. Of course, this was after waiting by the bakery counter for 15 minutes, making eye contact with at least 5 Walmart employees who quickly looked away to avoid helping. One of these employees was adjusting bread in the bread displays making me think he was a bakery employee, but then again, I don't know how the floor workers are distributed or if they even work in the bakery, so I just kept waiting. Well, finally my daughter noticed their counter bell hiding under/behind some displays on the counter, obviously trying to dissuade people from using it. I'm really not one of THOSE people, so I ignored it until it was obvious I wasn't going to be helped unless I started sliding things off the display counter, so I rang the bell. The grumpy older white lady (race is maybe important here...) gets out in about 1.5 seconds and demands to know what I want. I tell her that we are here to pick up a cake. "Name.", she stated, not asked. I told her my name and she disappeared into the walk-in and reemerged a couple minutes later. Is this what it looked like? Yep, that's it, thanks! I replied. She then shoved/almost threw the cake into my hands, spun on her heel and disappeared back into her lair, leaving me stunned. Oh, also after she finally came out, the bread boy decided it was safe to come back behind the counter now that he didn't have to help me, so that's cool. So yeah, as a brown guy, I'm always wondering if the motivations behind behaviors are racial or not, but given the current political climate, who knows? Maybe she just had a bad day, maybe she was mad that I rang the bell, or maybe she just didn't like the fact that she had to deign to serve a Mexican dude. In any case, this isn't my first experience like this at this particular Walmart: when I lived in Sherwood, I came to this Walmart at least once a week, and whenever I did, I would use the self checkout. Well, it's a lot of fun buying things there when a particular employee would always be right behind me, watching me scan items and place them in the bag. Yep, I can see you in the camera screens on the register! One of my favorites was when she was a little late noticing me and questioned whether I had scanned the 30lb cat litter in my cart. When I said I had, she waited around to check my receipt afterwards even though the have guards at the door to check anyways, so also cool! In summary, I will probably come to this Walmart again, but I'll avoid it as much as possible unless it's convenient. I think this Walmart is a little microcosm of Sherwood itself: dumpy, racist, and thinks quite highly of itself without any actual evidence. read more

Order 7570202201024 placed 16 hours ago, and the website says it's being prepared, but the delivery time came & went, with no groceries. The customer service folks say the store lost the order, and want to wait until the store can 'reboot' their systems to find it. This Walmart store is 0 for 2 on lost delivery orders; the first delivery order had the same result. Don't expect the Sherwood store to actually deliver on time,and don't expect the customer service agents to be able to find someone to fix the problem! read more

On 01/11/2024 at $6:30 a.m., I checked out at the Sherwood, OR Walmart. The checker scanned my salad shrimp twice costing me almost $14. more. After checking my receipt, I turned around and the checker was gone. The shrimp was the last item checked. So, I figured she made the error because she was in hurry to do something else. I have been overcharged numerous times at this store. I live too far away from there to make another round trip back to correct their error. There was a couple of other checkers just standing around. So, I told them what happened and asked them to refund my money. They said they could not and I had to wait until 7:00 a.m. for another person to do that. In other words, they cannot correct their own mistakes. If you call them on it, they will tell you that they are human and it's the scanners fault. I insisted on speaking with the store manager. Her name is Lacy. She seem annoyed and reluctant to make things right. While she was working on my refund in another area, I continued to interact with the checkers. The one that made the mistake showed up and went through my groceries thinking I was lying about it. Then, Lacy showed up again and immediately accused me of harassing her employees. I did not do any such thing. Lacy handed me my receipt and credit slip and told me to shop at Target or some other store as if I had created the problem. I told all of them that I am an elderly, disabled, war veteran, I live on a fixed income, and I cannot afford their repeated scanning mistakes. Lacy told me to leave and not come back banning from store. That is what I get for being a loyal customer for many years. I told all of them that their freedom was predicated on my service. I was wearing my disabled veteran ball cap. They did not seem to care anything about that. I contacted their corporate office and filed a complaint. Also, I filed a complaint with the Oregon Civil Rights division. I am waiting but still no word back from Walmart corporate. They do not care! read more

If you have an option to use any other pharmacy besides this one, do it! I thought I would switch from Fred Meyer pharmacy to this one to save time/ gas. This has been a big mistake. Since switching to this Walmart pharmacy it has been extremely challenging to get information about the refill status of my prescriptions. I've signed up to receive text messages for prescription updates 3 times and yet each time, I have not received text updates leading to delays and unnecessary trips. I've had to call each time before coming in, waiting a day or two after the promised time in the automated refill line, only to learn it isn't ready. I've received incorrect information over the phone about my prescription being ready when it was not. The only reason I gave them 2 stars is because I have talked to some nice employees there. They mean well, but just don't have a good system in place and new employees giving incorrect information. read more

I just had the best grocery experience of my life :-) yesterday morning I woke up dreading the fact that I needed to go grocery shopping and had been putting off for six days because of my three young children. Mostly out of curiosity and laziness I decided to try the Walmart app that I had found. It has a program where you order the food on your phone and then pull up and they put it in your car. So while I sat on my porch and sipped my coffee I made a huge order, two weeks worth of food for a family of five including produce and meat. Throughout the rest of the day as I remember things that I should've got I just added them to my order. This morning I woke up, poured a cup of coffee and at 9:30 I got a notice that my order was ready. I threw the kids in the car, drove the five minutes to Walmart and when I pulled up I had just enough time to pop the trunk before there was a guy there with my entire order unloading it for me into my car. They gave me a big bag full of freebies also. I got back home before my coffee was even cold with what would normally have been an exhausting amount of groceries. Everything was perfect. The meat was just as I wanted it, the produce was all perfect. Those of you that do not know the terror of going to the grocery store with young children may not understand but for me this was truly a lifesaver. And it was so inexpensive, I literally didn't spend any more than I would've the Winco!! read more

Every time we go to this Walmart it is always clean, well stocked and easy to get around in. If you go early in the morning or really late in the evening (or before 9:30am on Sat and Sun), the place is usually pretty empty. My complaints however are with: #1.) The fact that when you walk in or are in the back where the food meets the clothing, they have other companies trying to sell to you. Like AT&T, Dish network and other cable providers. When I said "No, Thank You" kindly to one of their sales people, he was rude and followed me and my cart refusing to take 'I'm not interested' for an answer. It makes me uncomfortable to continue shopping there. #2.) The last time I was there, I was looking for a gift for my 3-yr-old niece. She likes play-doh, but wanted something specific. When I was in that isle a light was out and it was hard to see, clearly the 2 employees in that isle gossiping about poor management and other employees didn't seem to mind. They also didn't feel the need to move over so I could see the play-doh instead they ignored me (even as I reached around them to get stuff off the shelf). I walked around the kids isles a few times looking at other things waiting for them to move so I could see the area more clearly. After my 3rd time around that isle one of them finally said "Can I help you?" in a tone that was more along the lines of "Were trying to have a conversation here and your being very rude shopping around us". I put the play-doh back and bought her gift at target later that day. If management could stop the peddlers and deal with employee issues, this could be the best Walmart around! read more

I didn't want to write this update after my 'I am so impressed with this Wal-Mart and it's employees' review. At 7:20am the store is still very quiet with a few customers. Just what I expected since I did not want to wait in line for a return. I walked up to the front of the ropes and waited about thirty seconds for the customer service lady to come over from the main registers after discussing something with another employee. No problem. She saw me standing there, she came right over. I am technically in line (the only one). Here comes another employee with a customer that was overcharged. Walks in front of me like I was not there. Up to customer service. I am standing right there, in line ( did I mention that ) Hello !! I could feel myself get a little hot ! So all three are at the counter discussing this issue as I wait....IN LINE ( did I mention I was there first ). I am thinking ' you better at least apologize '. Not ! He did not even look at me. The customer service lady didn't say anything either after I kindly mentioned it. ...........it was the customer that apologized to me. The lady looked right at me twice and apologized.
