Was waiting for about 20 minutes in the electronics section. An employee named Laura was restocking and she kept on pretending not to hear or see me, so I figured she didn't speak English or was restocking staff. I asked someone else who also was restocking, and they went to her and pointed to me but she continued doing what she was doing. I finally went to customer service and they paged someone to come, and lo and behold it was Laura and another person called Leon who was apparently hiding in an aisle. Laura was still trying to ignore me until I finally stood in front of her. Needless to say they were extremely unhelpful. Good luck getting help with those 2 idiots read more

You know what you are getting when you come to a Walmart. You know the relative cleanliness, helpfulness, and line length. I've done "pick up at store" before and it works out rather well. Order online, get notification, go to the line at customer service and pick it up. I know it's Christmas, but they still list if as an option. I ordered and never got any notification, logged on and saw the store cancelled the order. I assumed it was because of lack of stock. It was a humidifier so I ordered another and it had a "ready by 6" message and never went beyond processing. So I had to drive to the store, looked through the stock, found the original order (so it wasn't a stock issue) and waited in a 15 minute line with one item. Which is what I was hoping to avoid. Once in a while you can find an employee who can point you in the direction of something you are looking at. A lot of the time you can't find anyone or the one you find doesn't speak English. If you are going for all your purchases, maybe you don't mind waiting in a long line. It's just so annoying when you want one thing. If there was a close by Target or if drugstores had a decent selection of humidifiers, I would gladly pay more to avoid the hecticness. It's not the worse Walmart I've been to. It's got a lot of parking, especially if you drive away from the building and go down that road so you don't have to constantly stop for pedestrians. But hey I was sick and I saw this product was listed to help, so even if you have a low opinion of Walmart, sometimes you can't resist the selection and prices. Massive Walmart! Parking is horrendous as they share lot with Sams Club. Produce section is really great and mostly fresh. Prices are good some things cheaper than most stores some things not! Decent prices on the meat too. Checkout was slow and when we got home found we were charged for something we did not have! I called the store and it took an eternity for someone to answer and when they finally did they asked me to come back to customer service which I would not drive 6 miles for $2.50. I asked for customer service, so was transferred and the phone just rang and rang. I called back and the same thing, so I gave up! Ohhh Walmart. What can I say that hasn't already been said about you. You are large, in charge and funny to look at. We venture here on Sundays to fight the underbelly of society for cheap supplies to get us through the week. If we didn't have cars we would never be here but since we do we might as well take advantage of the large quantities of food at low low Walmart prices. I will say this though, the people that shop here (aside from us of course!) are obviously unaware they are in public. You would expect to see people NOT in their underwear or showing off parts of their bodies they would normally reserve for in the shower. I was at Walmart last week with my husband and we purchased $300 worth of items. When we came home, I saw that the cashier forgot to give us some of our items. We had just finished asking her if she gave us everything. While she was bull shitting with another employee. This place was nasty and dirty. When we got home,I called the store and was put on hold for over 20 minutes, i hung up. I tried calling back and couldn't get through. I called the 800 number and was told they would call the manager of the store and to call back in 3 business days. I called back on Saturday and was told to call on Monday. I thought they work on the weekend. I can't believe the process just to get my money. It cost us $14 to go over the GW BRIDGE and the travel time. They don't understand that some people need their money. Why don't they train their employees from management down to the cashiers. I have never been in such a dysfunctional department store as I did at Walmart. No one cares about their customers yet you want our money !! Make sure you check your bags before you leave the store. Cheap. That being said, the parking here can be a mess when busy, and the lines inside can be incredibly long, even with all the lanes open. You can find a little bit of everything here that you need, and at prices that are generally rock-bottom (short of being really lousily-made items). There's almost no one around to help with questions unless you're in electronics/entertainment section. And yes, far cheaper than NYC and many places in NJ. But I still like Target better. read more

I am almost forever here and I can't believe this is my first time reviewing this Walmart location...first off like to say I love they have everything I need!...from the 1$ long bread to the 6$ rotisserie chicken...you guys are life savers! OK, this is the busiest Walmart ever I think. Its next to a Sams club too. Parking lot is huge, but expect to walk, its always packed. I'm not thrilled to come here but on occasion its a last resort. Many of the people who are in the store are there for the varied food selections, it has a very international food section for a Walmart actually. I assume this is due to the large latino population in the area, but it is nice. Many signs are in Spanish and English. Its fine in a pinch, but I dont seek this store out. read more

I guess they been having an extreme theft problem. Everything is locked up behind glass and you have to hunt down an employee who happens to have the key to the particular case you want in order to get an item. I wanted 3 items in different parts of the store and had to wait each time for an employee with the key I needed. The 3 items were Febreze, Children's Motrin, and false eyelashes. All these items were locked behind plexiglass. Then, when you go to check out, they have certain items that require an ID check (apparently I need to be 18 to buy a screwdriver and crazy glue) so I had to wait again for another employee to come and check my ID, then I had to wait on line to exit the store so they could check my receipt. You spend more time waiting. Just turn the store into a giant vending machine or make it online pick up only because this is a waste of everyone's time. read more

This Walmart is a supercenter so you know that you'll get the best deal for your buck. It's in a great location & has everything I need! This is my go to store when I need to go grocery shopping. Sometimes I'll even wait until my fridge is bare so I can stock up on groceries. They have great prices and you can buy things in bulk. The only downside about this place is that the lines are always super long as if someone is waiting to get into the club. Also there's not enough sales people on the floor to help customers. The most I'll see is someone restocking items. The majority of Them do not speak English that well so it's hard to ask questions or even to get them to understand you. read more

Disorganization, poor customer service, they closed the restrooms on both sides, and the response was "There is no water" and they said it, interrupting my explanation. My friend are pregnant with a high risk of pregnancy and the workers wanted her to walk all the way to the other store, Sam's. This is a disrespectful way to treat the customers. I didnt even want to give one star...this place is just horrendous!! Bought a kitchenaid from this location. When i got home, i found one of the paddle attachments was missing, then...when i hooked it up, I saw that the machine was used!!! The bowl and other attachments had dried icing on it...the label was coming off, and there was sugar encrusted on it!!! ON TOP of which....it wasnt even the same kitchenaid inside!!!! Walmart, when you get high-priced items returned, you should look what's inside the box!! Now I'm stuck with this USED piece of junk! Im having problems returning it because I threw out the receipt knowing I wanted and needed this kitchenaid!!! The uttermost horrific customer experience, experienced tonight. It's 1:40AM and after patiently waiting on line for checkout, and finally within arms reach from the associate, the employee switches off her light post and redirects us to self checkout because she is "now closed." Almost 20 minutes in with a cart full of food & products to buy, we watched 2 on duty managers get distracted with a customers complaint as the other stuffs her bags full of non-purchased items. From my observation, the two mid aged African American women were working in conjunction and had strategically planned this out or have successful, prior experience stealing merchandise. Even worst, as we made our way to self check out, the staff were unprepared with no bags in place for purchasing customers to store their items. Without them leaving their post, we have also encounter a systematic glitch and was stalled even longer before the employee was able to coach us through the payment process. All together, we spent more than 40 minutes just to pay for our items. They self checkout which is designed for simplistic convenience has failed us due to the lazy, unprepared, easily distracted staff members. read more

What can I say about your friendly neighborhood Walmart? The Secaucus location is always chaotic. The parking lot is always packed and you'll find yourself waiting in a good sized line for while in order to check out. But, it does have its pros. First off, being 24 hours is a huge win. Sometimes you need things at 3am and really, is there anything that WalMart doesn't carry? Second, the restrooms are, for the most part, kept clean and last, the McDonalds located inside is a great place to grab a quick snack. Ayyy Walmart. It's time I finally review you. You have to expect the mayhem of people coming to this store due to the "SAVINGS". You won't get out quickly - there's always lines. People really take advantage of the expanded grocery area they've updated. And pretty much everything else. It is possible to experience road rage ..with your little cart getting stuck in the aisle. I end up here when I need things like face wash, make-up remover products, hygiene products. They are cheaper- I've seen the differences at Target but ...it's true-you don't get the mayhem at Target. Walmart is really a hot mess including the parking area. You really have to go at a weird time to be able to leave in less than 20 minutes. Since I have enough check-ins, I have to point out that only a few times I've dealt with cashiers who have the worst attitudes ever! But not all the staff members are rude, miserable individuals. It's big, it's over crowded, and they check your receipts on the way out, disregarding your 4th amendment rights, oh it's Wally World. I can't honestly think of anything you would need that can only be purchased at this store. The prices really aren't that great, and be prepared to deal with screaming uncontrolled children throughout the store. I wouldn't recommend getting any food from here with wild birds frequently passing through the rafters, and landing on just about anything. Well, make that I wouldn't recommend getting anything. If you drive, watch out, as the lot is littered with runaway shopping carts, poor drivers (I once was hit by a van while I was walking), and bad parking jobs. read more

I'm admittedly a Target snob, but the clientele at this Walmart is straight up ghetto (and not in a fabulous way). Baby mamas pushing you out of the way with their strollers, unsupervised kids darting everywhere, clothing at least four sizes too small that leave little to the imagination (and not in a good way), etc. This place definitely has to be one of the sources for material for the www.peopleofwalmart.com website. You also get the added bonus of fearing for your car's safety in the parking lot. That being said, this store seems pretty new and mostly clean, and they stock just about anything you could want for your daily needs. The prices are generally better than the Target in Jersey City when I compare like items from both stores. For me though, it's not worth the addditional trip out to Secaucus even with the entertainment value offered by my fellow customers. read more

This is the biggest sh*thole in an otherwise great town! First off the parking looks as though it was created by a 5 year old. The spots are narrow and you can just get 1 car by let alone 2 coming each way. Their are carts all over the place and 90% of the people cannot drive to begin with! Then you walk into the sh*tbox and it's a like a 3rd world country. No one speaks english (customers and staff), everything is disorganized, tons of people who could care less for manners and simply chaos! I was in here for 5 minutes and could not find simple items. This is an overhyped store and Target is an excellent alt. And the prices, f them. They aren't all that reasonible or less expensive than any other place I have been to. Express: The store sucks. I leave it up to you to weigh if the low cost comes at a high price or not. Because the headache and toll add up to a false economy unless you're sending $200 or more. Welcome to your local Harmon Meadow Walmart. I remember back in the olden days when this store wasn't all that bad. Fast forward to today, and you might need to pop open a bottle of Advil (a name brand ibuprofen which is on sale today) and a six pack of beer--and that's just to get through the grocery side! This Walmart is the closest to the city, so naturally it is a collision course of Jersey cats and Manhattanites. Actually, that part about the cats is more literal than I thought: The parking lot is teeming with wild pussy. There's black ones, white ones, white ones splattered with mystery juice, fat ugly ones, even some kittens with their mother cat. I wonder where they all came from?! (I'm talking real cats, not anything else you nasty people.) During the day the parking lot resembles a roadway in New Delhi crossed with a little bit of La Habana. There are numerous Zipcars from across the river being operated by twats that havn't driven in months--years. Anyway, those occasional drivers are scary! I think they drive with both feet--crossed!!! As you enter the entire complex that is known as Harmon Meadow (complete with hotels and Red Lobster) I encourage you to take a few deep breaths because if it isn't the awful design that will nearly kill you... It'll be the awful driving. The store itself is a Walmart. Nothing extraordinary other than the level of busyness and the blaring fact that there are never enough checkout lanes open. I seriously wonder what the purpose of having this many lanes if only four are going to be open at a time?! Nonsense! Let me back up and point out that the store is large and has an expanded selection of Latino and Asian foods. Produce looks pretty good most days I drag myself in. Many employees don't speak English, much to the chagrin of the local white man. Many of these employees also can't hear even if you do speak to them en Espanol, much to the chagrin of anyone else. On the rare chance that you corner Yozinia, Yanisa, Yarnicia, Yuniel, Yardinia or Yudisleicy, you must speak in a more Caribbean version of Spanish (preferably Cuban) otherwise you're screwed and will ultimately be sent to electronics for everything. The checkout lanes resemble the god awful Walmart in North Miami: Slow, mysterious, nonsensical and slow. Did I say slow? Yeah, slow. I mean slow as in these people act as though they have just discovered what a credit card, credit card machine and what buttons are slow. Slow. Slow! Where the hell am I here?! Connecticut?! If you happen to get into a line where there isn't some sort of chaos, scam or odd mix of every payment method imaginable--rush and play the lottery and expect Yolanda Vega to announce the good news. The point is: You won't get a fast lane, ever! Maaaaaybe you'll get one between 4:40 and 5:17 am. Just maybe. If you must come, do it at 12:45 am or later. Absolutely avoid the weekend unless you're a sadist and watch out for singing employees. Good to know: This store makes the downtown C21 look like a Walgreen's in Wallingford! read more

I have been pretty lucky here buying boots for work and don't laugh, casual shirts and shorts for the summer. They have a huge grocery store which has come in handy when we need to pick up last minute things that my wife forgot to order with the groceries. Prices are reasonable, I try to come during off peak times. It gets very crowded on the weekends like their next door neighbor Sam's Club. They have great prices for glasses, my wife gets hers here. And, if you get hungry there is a McDonald's in house. read more

My favorite grocery store, near to my place and it has every item one looks for. Mainly I shop for groceries here but I have tried kitchen items and some furniture as well. It has amazing return policy. With receipt of the item you can return the item within 30 days if you don't like or the item does not fit. Fruits & vegetables are fresh. Sometimes not specially Avocados. Since last month they only have ripe avocados. But the variety of fruits is huge. Think of a fruit, you will get it here. Same is for vegetables. They have deli section where they serve full rotisserie chicken, chicken wings with many sides. Sides include mashed potatoes, buttered corns etc. The frozen section has many options from uncooked to cooked chicken, seafood, beef, turkey, frozen vegetables, cooked packaged food. There is a lot of variety of bread, milk, juice, diet soda, punches, yogurts, cheese, chips, nuts and much more. Apart from food they have every time of kitchen item like cutlery, toaster, blenders, pans. All Electronic items are covered as well. You can but pets food from the pets section. Curtains are available for living room. Great place to shop!!! read more

This store has almost everything you could ever want and the prices are consistently low. I mainly buy food because it's the only grocery store in my town. The produce isn't fancy but it's good quality at low prices. The variety is excellent too. The frozen food, dairy, juices, & household necessities abound. I am vegan, so I know nothing about the meat. They don't carry my favorite tofu . A larger health food section would be great. The bad thing about this store is long lines for checkouts and slow help at self checkout. They try but they are under staffed. The Walmart app shows me the location of anything I'm looking for. I will continue to shop here rather than drive on the highway to another town to shop. read more
