I only stopped by this location as I was nearby and needed to grab a few things. I made the biggest mistake coming here. parking is absolutely horrible. This location is not well stocked like the others, a lot of freezer section was empty,the refrigerator sections with the dairy had mold on the shelves. The fresh potatoes had mold and sprouts. This is an interesting neighborhood but I was able to do my shop and get out. Still, I have to rate this as a one star experience as there is much room for improvement. First off, the parking lot is one of the least intuitive designs ever. There is no straight line in and departing was bonkers. Inside, lots of out of stock. I needed two specific items and had great help. The associate in the electronics area saw me hunting around and offered to assist with finding the charger and cable I needed. Interestingly, several of the electronics cabinets that are supposed to be secured were not. Checkout was slow because two of the machines were offline. I stopped in for some yarn. I wasn't greeted when I entered the store. It was pretty busy as usual. I made my way to the rear of the store looking for the craft section. I passed about 5 employees and no one greeted me nor asked me if I needed assistance. I walked to the front of the store and got in the check out line that had 2 people in it. After about 5 minutes I was asked to move to a recently opened line. The cashier was pleasant and helpful. He made the trip here worthwhile. Wish there were more employees like him. read more

This Walmart sucks, the lines are extremely too long. I went to Walmart to buy some mulch which you have to buy at the register and then pick it up. When I went to go get it, there was no mulch to get, it was gone. I had to go get a refund, not to mention it took forever just to find somebody who could ring it up. Plus find someone to go in the back to get it and they tell me that they don't have it. I'm asking myself if you don't have it why is it ringing up for purchase. Went to go shopping after work and it's next door so went in got my stuff and stood in line when I got to the cashier she had her phone in her hand then put it down without a hi or anything than rang me out and didn't say anything just gave me my receipt and didn't picked her phone back up. This is the most ghetto store ever. I drove the extra mile to go to another Walmart. They never have everything you need I always end up having to go to another store anyway and most of the people are so unprofessional. We recently relocated to the Alton area in this Walmart is the closer one to our house. I've read some of the other reviews complaining about customer service. I have not experienced any bad customer service from the employees. My biggest complaint about this store (and I've never seen it this bad anywhere else) is that they don't keep the shelves stocked very well. during peak shopping hours 5 to 8 PM the shelves should be stocked period. They should have stockers out there all day if they have to read more

Waited in the car repair shop 20 minutes with no one helping. Tried call I got the department, heard phones ringing but no one answered. At least four others walked out. If they were at lunch, there should have been a sign up or other notification. People were mad! read more

The pharmacy there is abysmal. They never answer their phones. They promise to mail your scripts out and then do not and what is more they don't tell you that they did not mail your scripts. The people who work their are incompetent and indifferent. These two characteristics are bad for any business to have but this is a pharmacy. Lives are in the balance because this level of stupidity slows down the delivery of vital meds. They should be investigated/closed down. Worst of all, since they won't answer their phones, I cannot transfer out of that pharmacy to one that might be efficient. They have sent my meds to the wrong place, not mailed them when they said they would and had me spent time and money going there and picking them up which not all people can do easily. read more

Walmart's are annoying to go to because they're always crowded but this is one is bad. It's so ratchet and dingy!! Someone is always stealing and the customer service here is terrible. I was in the self scan checkout and I grabbed some extra plastic shopping bags before I left and the cashier told me I couldn't take any extra bags. I personally would avoid this location and stopped going in even when I was just tagging along with others. Many of the employees are just rude,mean, and spiteful it's like watching a live action comment section of the worse variety. They all woke up angry and if you aren't a fellow employee they get along with or a friend stopping by to goof off they do not want to be bothered and enjoy attempting confrontation for their personal amusement with customers. There are other Walmarts and Superstores that won't feel like you walked into a madhouse. read more

While I love to shop at Wal mart, this location is not the one to go to. If your looking to actually find something don't come here. It's dirty, unorganized, and ghetto. There are always clothes all over the floor. The store is always completely packed with one person on register. So you have to wait an hour in line. I came here to find khaki's for work about 2 times over a 5 month period. They had the same ugly "grandma" khakis on the racks. Like REALLY? Get some new things in please. The bakery's bread slicing machine has been down for months. There's never any sliced bread on the shelves and they told me the machine doesn't work and they can't slice bread for months. What is wrong with Walmart, that they can't get a working bread slicer in the bakery. That's just pathetic. read more

Worst experience in a retail store I've ever had. Went to the store to buy replacement cell phone . Went to the electronics department and was informed that this particular Walmart has a section at the front of the store just for wireless telephones. I arrived at the front of the store to find yes indeed you have a large selection of pre-paid cell phone unfortunately there's no one manning the station. Got in line asked the cashier if anyone was working the world the station I was told yes someone will be will be shortly. Waited 10 minutes spoke to a different Walmart employee was issued someone will be with me shortly waited 15 minutes. I waited another seven minutes in VidLib thanks Walmart superstore you have everything I need except for people to take my money. read more

I am 58 years old, and although age should not determine the amount of respect a person is shown, I was appalled by the way I was verbally approached by a floor clerk who thought I was opening a package when all I was doing was manipulating it to try to see the size tag since it was a discount item that had been repacked and the tag was not visible. This was 2 years ago last month. I walked out and have not been back since. I just hope all of their employees aren't as rude and inappropriate as this young gentleman was to me. There are too many places to choose from to shop at that I do not intend to spend my money at a place where employees are allowed to address their customers as rudely as this one did me. read more

This Walmart has the absolute worst customer service. It was the only store with the item I needed in the area (30 minutes from my apartment). I drove out there three times. Once, to buy the item, once because I was fed false information, and once to return the item. All three times the customers service was appalling. I was very disappointed in how I was treated. Common manners seem to escape this location. I was told that I could get parts from another box since mine was defective. This proved to be false and the staff looked at me like I was wasting their time. I will never shop at Walmart again because of this store. In addition, the store was filthy.
